Dr. Lo is one of those people. A natural educator in a dental scrubs, Dr. Lo took the time to explain common misconceptions about dental hygiene with kindness and zeal. Like I said, I've never felt more excited about flossing and brushing. I took advantage of a new patient promotion for the office and am so glad that I did. The staff are welcoming and take the time to answer questions. I was not upsold on any service. From what I could tell, this dental office is more interested in giving patients what they actually need and does not try to sell products or procedures that are not necessary. It sounds like they offer a membership for self-pay patients as well that would offest the cost for those who are underinsured as well. Happy with the discovery of this dentist. Everything was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The staff was very welcoming, efficient, knowledgeable, honest, and up front. They were also cost conscious for me, without me having to ask or say anything. I have had bad experiences with other dentists saying that I needed all kinds of work that was going to cost a fortune. But that was not the case here, and I felt that I could trust what they were saying was needed to be done. My hygienist, Suzette, and dentist, Dr. Hillstrom were absolutely fabulous! I immediately tried to explain that I had already paid in November 2024 for my two dental crowns, but she kept repeating that there was no record of any payment. This all happened in front of other patients, which was humiliating and stressful, especially knowing I was right. At one point, I mentioned that I had just paid $5,000 for an upcoming surgery, and her response was, "Oh, congratulations." I found that comment incredibly insensitive and unprofessional, given the seriousness of my situation. I said is nothing to congratulate me for a mayor back surgery, and she responded oh well my husband has one of those . Eventually, I told her to call me once she had proper documentation showing that I owed anything and left the office. About twenty minutes later, I received a call from Stacy letting me know that it had been a mistake and that I didn't owe anything after all. The least the manager could have done was to call me herself and apologize for her behavior. Because of this experience, I will never return to this office. No patient should have to deal with that level of disrespect or lack of professionalism.

Instead I found her to lack empathy and relied on an Assistant to handle most all of the procédures and the actual dentist spent a total of 15 minutes and then told me she wouldnt be interested in having me as a patient. My dentist in my hometown had been so good but he passed away. The current dentist doesn't do much of the work but his hygienist does. The previous one I had only worked one or two days a week and it took a while to get in to her and if I had to cancel I might have to wait 6 months to get into her again. So I have a new hygienist and I really like her! Don't ask me her name, I can't remember her name. She's been doing dental hygiene for 37 years I think she said. I told her there's NO WAY. She doesn't look old enough. But she says she is, she has 3 boys and is getting close to retirement age. I go in every 3 months because I have an auto immune disease they need to watch and treat. This time they did a deep cleaning which I was really worried about how painful it would be. The hygienist numbed the section of my mouth first. Then Dr Crandall came in and gave me several shots on that side in my gum. It all turned out very well. They've done the bottom front of my teeth and I have another appointment scheduled for more. Let this be a lesson to all of you younger then us 60-70 somethings. We weren't taught about flossing or using a "WaterPik" of some kind. I try to get used to it but I just haven't managed it. If you don't brush or floss or use a water pik get up to speed. You're only hurting yourself in the long run.
