There were sooo many people that I assumed even with an appointment i would be waiting awhile, but my wait was only about 5 minutes. The 2 ladies who helped me were very nice and friendly and i received excellent service. The only reason i did not give 5 stars is because check-in is confusing. I clicked the text i got but could not retrieve a number to get in queue. I had to get a queue number from the employee out front when i should have been able to access it myself on my phone.

You can understand people have difficult jobs, but that does not excuse being rude, standoffish, or speaking to customers with an attitude, especially when many people are already frustrated after being given the runaround multiple times. Today was a perfect example of how poor the customer service is in this office. People come here because they need help, not to feel like they're bothering employees for asking questions. A little patience, professionalism, and basic kindness would go a long way.

An officer on the opposite side of the freeway noticed me from a distance and took the time to stop in the middle of the carpool lane to assure me that he would circle around and clear traffic so I could safely move my motorcycle to the right-hand shoulder. About five minutes later, he stopped the entire incoming 57 freeway traffic to let me do just that. The officer stayed with me as long as he could, until he received another call. After I paid twice and nothing printed, I asked him for help again. He reluctantly came over and treated me as if I simply didn't know how to use the machine. Even if someone doesn't know how to use the system, it's still normal to ask for help. I don't expect special treatment, but people who politely ask for help deserve basic patience and respect. I hope the library will provide better customer-service training so that other community members don't have a similar experience.
