The first time I went to P & L was in October 2010 after receiving a recommendation from a friend…read more I had gone to a well known quick oil change company and a couple days later I had an oil leak. P & L looked over my car for about an hour and discovered the other company had damaged my oil pan drain plug. They replaced the drain plug and charged me $5.07. Yes, that is Five Dollars and Seven cents. (That includes tax.) There was also the time I bought bad gas and my car kept sputtering. They installed fuel injector cleaner (that time it cost me close to $9.) They have saved me a number of times. Like the time my car would not start when I was in Schaumburg. I refused to have anyone in Schaumburg look at my car, so I had it towed all the way to P & L. (It was just the battery, but the battery was so dead, my car would not even take a jump). P & L only fixes what is necessary, so I usually leave pleasantly surprised as to the cost of the repair. They provide a quote before making any major repairs and they always give the parts back. Except that one time my belt shredded so bad, it looked like string. I did not get the belt back. One thing for sure, they are honest!! If you decide to have them work on your car, call ahead and make an appointment and be prepared to leave the car there. They are a small operation. Sure if you have an emergency (and I have had a few), they will do their best to get you out the same day. I have also waited in their lobby a few times when they were changing the oil. They said no one can properly change your car's oil in a few minutes. An oil change is the time mechanics are suppose to give your car a quick check to make sure everything looks okay. I won't trust my car to anyone else.

After some research, the Shell team noticed that the tires were blowing due to a problem with the shocks. They dug deeper into the problem and found that there was a recall out on the shocks of her vehicle. We were able to get this issue fixed for free at the local dealership thanks to Bill's genuine act to find us the best deal. He expected nothing in return. Went into the store to buy lottery tickets and told the person working the register that I wanted…read more10 tickets separately. She ends up giving me 10 tickets which have the same number and refuses to fix it. So she charged me $20 for 10 tickets that have the same number. She wouldn't fix it and said people order them like that sometimes. Told her why would I pay $20 for 10 tickets that all have the same number when I can just get one ticket for $2. Just doesn't make any sense. Won't be coming back

I've had three Jaguars serviced at AC Imports over the thirty five years we had live in the Chicago…read morearea. I purchased a new set of tires in the Fall of 2013 in addition to a routine oil change. After driving in early 2014 to our Florida home with no other mechanical work done on the 2007 XK I experienced a serve oil leak from a loose oil filter cover that could have led to a complete engine replacement. The loose oil filter cover was confirmed by an excellent Jaguar dealership in Sarasota Florida. When AC's Vice President was provided this detail he become confrontational and stated that there is no way his dealership could have contributed to the problem. I wasn't asking for anything other than sharing the story, which he had no interest in hearing. This dealership has gone through several service managers and as a long term customer I wouldn't recommend AC to anyone. A Disappointed Customer
