Lark is your neighborhood coffee shop. It has a welcoming and comfortable vibe. The staff are friendly and helpful. The coffee is fantastic and there are a lot of great food options. My kids love getting the hot chocolate with whip cream and sprinkles. They also offer pup cups and a loyalty punchcard system as well. Parking can be hit or miss on Willamette and the restrooms are outside in the hallway of the building which houses many businesses. read more

Really excellent spot on the main street in Willamette (rhymes with dammit). Cute little downtown and this cafe is a huge asset. Had the bagel sandwich which was excellent with crispy bacon and the egg and cheese was just right. Enjoyed my americano and everyone at our table had a great food and coffee / tea experience. Nice outside seating. Service can take a few minutes as the tiny kitchen / service area can get backed up, but the staff are helpful and hardworking. Really nice. read more

Mmmmm... cortados and croissants - the two best "C" words in the dictionary. Ok, that might be my own bias but if you're a fan like I am, go check out Lark Cafe in West Linn. After weeks of physical therapy just down the block from this place, on PT graduation day I decided to treat myself to a treat (or two) at Lark. The inside is cheerful, clean and pleasant, the counter easy to navigate for ordering and picking up. My cortado was perfectly made, served up in a lowball glass (thank you for glass, not paper!), with a beautiful bit of artwork on the top. The chocolate croissant was fluffy, crispy and flaky on the outside, wonderfully stuffed with delicious chocolate on the inside. Sitting inside, sipping on my cortado, getting crumbs all over the place with my croissant, it was the best graduation gift I could have given myself. PS. Cortados are not on their menu but if you want one, just ask. They were happy to accommodate my request. A cortado is a small-sized drink (about 4-5 oz.) that originated in Spain and consists of equal parts espresso and steamed milk, typically served in a small glass, not a cup. I love them. read more

Food- their breakfast sandwich's are decent. I've had the sausage and egg! Lemonade is good. I haven't had their coffee though. Italian sodas- they're a bit funky- not a traditional one. Service: they're alright. It's a younger crowd running the joint so it depends on their moods how service goes. Ambiance: they have a nice location. Lots of room for sitting. I've been coming here for years and always enjoyed my food and the service. On my last visit, I had a dealing with someone who claims to be a manager. This person has no business managing anything. She was rude and condescending. Seemed put out I took her away from social time in the back room with her friends. I asked for a hot tea poured over ice and she explained she cant do that. I asked her why, and she said iced tea is iced tea and hot tea is hot tea. I asked for a cup of ice with my hot tea, and she then said "Im the manager and Ill do this for you one time as a courtesy". Lol, thanks a million! I then ordered a chicken salad sandwich, she said there is no such thing. So I looked at the menu and then said Moroccan Chicken Salad sandwich, to which she replied mmmhmm. What a crappy attitude. She then asked me if it was to go, when I told her it was for "here" she told me the shop was closing in 30 minutes. Geese, sorry to bother patronizing your business. I ate my sandwich and very special iced tea and was out of there by 2:45. Im still giving 2 stars because this place is good overall. But, I'll never be back. Lark is such a beautiful little spot to enjoy quality coffee. I drive by it every day and today I decided to visit for the first time. I've really been missing out! I ordered the chai tea and it was delicious and creamy. I tried a breakfast sandwich as well which did not disappoint. The shop was quiet and cozy, a perfect place to unwind during my lunch break. The staff members are all kind and the windows out front give a nice opportunity to people watch while you sip your drink of choice. Omg what a gem! I have lived in WL for 7 years and boy do I regret not coming here sooner! Awesome food menu with lots of options including lunch. Coffee selection was diverse with seasonal drink items which I LOVE to see that feature some of PNWs finest offerings like local honey and lavender. The atmosphere is great with plenty of seating inside and out. The service was awesome and it was super clean. They even have some adorable merch! Best coffeeshop in greater West Linn / Wilsonville area. They earned this by A) using beans from one of the top coffee roasters in Portland, Coava Coffee, and they're the only coffeeshop I've found in the area not serving bottom shelf beans. The barista was skilled and made a perfect latte, and for the first time in a while I felt like I received a top quality drink worth the price I paid for it...which was reasonably priced with the current market but it was actually worth it. B) by providing absolutely wonderful service with a team that had a positive and welcoming attitude that was warm and approachable with good, honest, and appropriate recommendations when it came to baked snacks. All the pastries look delicious but I settled on an afternoon cookie which was spot on. They even warmed it for me. It's such a relief with a new sense of excitement to have finally discovered a great coffeeshop for this area. It's also super conveniently located right off the interstate for those passing by. The last few times I've been to Lark the service has been meh. I gave it one more try today and sadly have decided it will be my last visit. I waited a really long time for a simple latte and croissant - when I asked if the coffee on the counter was mine the person behind the counter was very short with me and said no. So I waited some more and luckily the lady that they gave my coffee to came up to me and said "I think I have your order." People have bad days and I totally get that, but it seems that it's not one bad day, but now just bad service overall and they seem completely unconcerned about it. Lovely concept lacking in execution. The wonderful Allium has expanded to open Lark Café just a few doors down. As a local, I was excited to welcome an elegant cafe with the goal of providing 'artisan coffee and handcrafted food' in a more casual setting. The space is modern and spare with nice artwork and light jazz music, although they still have the mail boxes on the wall which has survived the musical chair rotation of coffee shops in the this location for years. I first visited during their soft opening in early August and have returned twice during breakfast and lunch hours to give them a solid try before reviewing. My three visits have been consistent. Of the three main areas I focus on during a visit, food/drink quality, atmosphere, and service, the service is element is off. Not to say that the person at the counter is not doing well, it is just that they are the only employee. A particular challenge when some customers are coming in for a quick coffee and others a sit down meal that is made to order. Really too much to ask of an employee during lunch hours. The coffee is Coava, and the menu is small but interesting. You order at the counter where there are a selection of pastries. Lark Cafe is open from 6:30a - 4:00p daily with a lunch menu offering two soups (French Onion w/Gruyere toast, plus a soup of the week), three salads, and five panini sandwiches. The breakfast offerings are two quiches, a breakfast sandwich, waffles, oatmeal and a fruit parfait. The tables are nicely spaced if you need to work on a laptop and there is some outside seating out front. Once they get the staffing issue sorted, I hope for many happy returns. read more
