Here's Betty May telling us about Butt Muffins. She's in her blue snowman pajamas, because why not?

Betty May's Coffee and Things is perfection. The purple walls; the home canned preserves, gemstones, glass marijuana pipes, and rose-infused olive oil for sale; and the red antique cash register and matching hand-pumped espresso machine are just the beginning. Wait until you meet Betty May herself. When we arrived, Betty May was wearing Christmas pajamas under her barista apron, her long white hair brushed back from her face. As soon as I saw her, I knew we'd struck gold. While we sat at the bar and sipped our House Special (a latte with a big dollop of homemade whipped cream and a generous shaving of nutmeg from her antique German nutmeg grinder - really delicious) and ate our Butt Muffins (bran-cranberry muffins made with olive oil - so good we had two), Betty May regaled us with stories from her 60+ years in Carson, the history of the town, her plans for expanding on the "and Things" aspect of her business (maybe a lounge in back for smoking a bowl with friends: "There's just no nice place to do that here in town!"), all her jewelry (a bracelet with little compartment in it: "I keep my weed in there so I always have some with me"), and she brought out her deck of angel tarot cards and did a quick reading for each of us. It. Was. Awesome. Betty May is an absolute treasure. She exudes such joyful delight in humanity, in life, in running her quirky little business just the way she pleases - it's infectious. We left totally fulfilled. _______ Located at the corner of Wind River Road and Hot Springs road - the main four corner stop of Carson, Betty May's is next door to Gator Creek Gardens. Betty May says the space used to be the post office and hardware store. She swipes credit cards on her Square-enabled iPad. There are comfortable chairs and tables, some board games and books, and wifi if you want to hang out or work for awhile. But I recommend sitting at the bar and basking in the glory of Betty May's fantastic personality. You will not regret an hour spent with Betty May.

THIS PLACE HAS THE WORST COFFEE AND ITS DELIVERED WITH THE WORST ATTITUDE!!…read more Tried to support a small local business by visiting this place and was excited to do it. Our first drinks made by Karissa were great with great service which made it easy to come back. But our visits stopped after the manager Shelby made our drinks so poorly they were undrinkable. Ice was so thick that it separated completely from the coffee and had formed a top layer of ice I couldn't even get the straw out of, but I still tried drinking the coffee since we were on a road trip. It was burnt, bitter and undrinkable. I called and complained about the drinks seeing I was out of town. Shelby politely says to come back and get new ones. When I do come back to get the drinks, Shelby was there again and at first didn't remember me so I thought I wasn't going to get a replacement for my two 32oz coffee drinks. Once she remembered me her smile went away, she reluctantly made our coffees. I said thank you turned and took a sip, it was too bitter again. I could already see the ice was too thick and chunky again. Went to ask for sweetener, never received it but I got a bunch of excuses why everyone loves their coffee. I chose to leave and throw away the coffee. And at no point have I asked for my money back either, because, again, I was trying to support local business. I made a public comment in a community group on Facebook about my personal experience and Shelby and her sister Courtney publicly attack me and call me a liar. THIS PLACE HAS THE WORST COFFEE AND DELIVERED WITH THE WORST ATTITUDE IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT THEIR WAY.

Excellent high end meals with unique, passionate and impressive service and quality. Worth a visit…read moreif you're in the area looking for a top meal. Don't think of this as a golf club restaurant but more of a top choice for a nice dinner or nice meal in the area. My wife, mother and I were staying at the resort next door to the golf course and decided to give Isadore's with no prior research. Being from Seattle, the menu and approach from Isadore's and their effort to be a high end restaurant serving unique high quality cuisine was terrifying. In Seattle, a restaurant with this type of approach is going to be awful, pretentious, tiny portions and expensive. Isadore's was the direct opposite with stunningly unique food, excellent service and a very warm inviting vibe. We enjoyed Isadore's so much that not only did we eat dinner here but we returned to enjoy their lunch menu the next day. The people working at Isadore's were truly a cut above as everyone we met from the host, to our waitresses, to the other service people, to the Head Chef, to the owner were already incredibly friendly and extremely passionate about Isadore's and taking care of their customers. The host was a very young lady who could not have had a better attitude and who was so friendly to us. I was also highly impressed with how hard she was working always cleaning or doing something while not attending to her hosting duties. Our two waitresses were spectacular with good humor and great effort taking care of us. The real reason I am writing this review is the steak I had here was one of the best I've had in recent memory. An incredibly unique blue cheese crust with Portobello mushrooms on top of a flavorful perfectly cooked NY Steak. I've have never had a blue cheese crust on a steak before and it absolutely rocked my socks! My wife ordered the same thing and she has been known to hurt people and start fires when her steak isn't cooked correctly. Both of our steaks were nailed with complete perfections at two different temperatures. Exceptional! We tried lots of different things here. My wife loved the clams she got. The different types of bread were all awesome! My mother was raving about this place during the entire trip. Out of everything we had here across Dinner and then lunch the next day, everything was great to exceptional. Really had no expectations walking in but walking out was completely blown away. Isadore's hit it out of the park in virtually way. My mother was even raving about how fancy she thought the bathrooms were. We really loved Isadore's and would go back any time we're in the area!

We had some trouble figuring out the right location. Our group of 15 was given a private room. Burrata was outstanding, also enjoyed the fries. I went with the forager bowl and I'd probably opt for something different next time.
