She explained the process she uses and explained that she always adds a a treatment to her relaxers. My suggestion would be to add that in to the pricing so ppl are aware up front. After my relaxer, I had the steam treatment which was cool. I sat under the dryer - that seemed really quick! () and had a snack that they offer, and then got trimmed and styled. I left looking cute. The atmosphere in the salon was very inviting and Mia is a talented stylist. I would ask for a different brand of relaxer next time though - my hair felt unusually dry after until I washed it myself and put a moisturizing treatment in. But I'll be back!

Got a cut from Lauren with a Groupon after being recommended by a friend who had liked the cut she…read moregot with her Groupon. Lauren spent a lot of time speaking with me about my preferences and what I wanted. She also asked several helpful questions being that I don't know much about what kind of style I want. Due to my recent move and being long overdue for a haircut (I truly hate getting haircuts), my hair needed a substantial amount taken off to improve overall health and assist in future growth. Lauren made sure we were absolutely, 100% in agreement on the amount to be taken off before she got started, knowing that I prefer my hair quite long. She spoke with me about some of my hair "challenges" and seemed quite knowledgeable about "hair science." Having previously worked in the skin care industry, I appreciated the instruction. Lauren offered to make additional adjustments after completing the cut to ensure I had the look I wanted. No additional adjustment was needed, and my hair looks and feels much more healthy. Before discussing the products she offers, she first asked if I was interested in learning about them and discussed my current hair product use. Being conscientious about what's in my personal care products, she gave me some informaton to take home to assist in my product research. She also gave me a little sample to use at home. I always appreciate this sort of thing as my hair is quite fine, and I need to see how products "wear" through the day. Overall it was a relaxing experience, my hair looks pretty, and I actually made a follow up appointment (which I never do=haircut fear). Thank you Lauren!

It's refreshing to know that my hair is always in good hands with Lauren. I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else!

I rarely write reviews but when I say this has been the BEST experience I have ever had at a salon…read moreit definitely was. Lauren is by far the kindest most transparent and trustworthy stylist I have ever met. From the start she was quick at replying and her communication by far unmatched. I was impressed with her transparency in every aspect. She was honest about both her ability to achieve what I wanted along with her recommendations for me given my current hair health. For Lauren, keeping my hair healthy and reaching my hair goals were at the top of her priority. I never once felt uncomfortable, and the entire appointment felt super personable. She was also super honest about the price and what upkeep would look like- and that is a conversation that can sometimes feel taboo but not with her. She is such an amazing stylist and her ability to make you feel welcomed and clear minded with what to expect is by far the best I've ever experienced. I will most definitely be coming back and I look forward to seeing her as my future stylist because that is just how good she is. The vibes were TOP TIER and I am super happy with how my hair came out! I went in looking for a balayage and wanted to go blonde but after a very thorough consultation with Lauren (with complimentary snacks) we decided on a more brownish look since I had lots of box dye and she don't want to fry my hair. Of course she provided a range of options if I did want to go blonde that same day, such as adding highlights or doing a baby foil (which she was so kind to explain what everything meant and how that would look maintenance wise along with price!). In the end I decided to just follow up later on to go lighter! The whole time she does not at all make you feel pressured or uncomfortable or tries to up-sale anything- she even told me that if I loved it and didn't want to do another appointment that that was totally okay too- there was absolutely no pressure! For my personal hair I ended up paying around $290 and considering the entire appointment and the thoroughness of it, I felt the price was more than justified! She is wonderful and if you're scared of trying a new stylist like I was please consider Lauren!!!
