For clarity, review is not about Jessica. I originally tried to book with her, but my appointment was instead handled by an older Korean woman who appears to be the owner. This owner kept pushing my boundaries and overtime, her behavior became passive-aggressive and unprofessional. For example, I felt pressured to purchase a Brazilian laser hair removal package and when I declined, she made a comment along the lines of "people would find it ugly if you didn't," which I found completely inappropriate. On another occasion, she brought in another customer or acquaintance during my appointment. I overheard the person ask (in Korean) why she was working on a Saturday, to which she responded "because of this girl," as though I were an inconvenience forcing her to be there. This made me uncomfortable and felt very unprofessional. Just because I prefer speaking in English doesn't mean I understand what you're saying! At the time I didn't speak up, partly because she was older and appeared to be the owner of the business. But looking back, I regret not addressing it sooner. I also noticed another reviewer described a very similar negative experience, so this clearly wasn't a one-off situation. Again, this review is not about Jessica. The consultation was straightforward & quick--Katie thoroughly examined my skin and reviewed the high-resolution photos taken with their machine. Afterward, I was taken to a private room to sign a consent form outlining the procedure. Katie then applied numbing cream to my face, and after it took effect, she removed it and began using the laser to treat my skin. Despite the numbing cream, the treatment was still painful, and my face burned a lot afterward, which is a normal part of the process. Following the laser session, I was brought to a separate room where I used cold air and an iced face roller to cool my skin for about 20 minutes before leaving. The treatment is on the pricier side, but the results are truly fantastic--Although the procedure was painful and the healing process took about seven days, it was absolutely worth it in the end.
