Dora did a great job on my make up, especially since I was in a time crunch and gave her one hour to complete me. She curled my hair with an iron and it looked amazing when she finished!! There is just a small space for waiting at the front of the store; for 2-3 people to sit. And a heavy smell of hairspray-they really overdo it, which hopefully keeps the style longer; i only wish I had a mask or they opened the doorfor a bit. I have been coming here for about a year or two now to come dye my hair and cut it regularly. I recommend getting an appointment with Alex because he really listens to what you want and doesn't push products on you. Plus his interest in makeup and beauty overall really helps if you're ever lost for a new hairstyle. He's dyed my hair twice and I can positively say that afterwards my hair looked great; it wasn't falling off or damaged. I haven't gotten my nails done here yet so I can't say much on that. But they do have nice color options. After being distrusting about salons in Roosevelt, I finally ventured to this salon when two other salons disappointed.. And everything truly happens for a reason because I loved the service I got here from the stylist Orlando. When I walked in I wanted a dramatic chop of my hair, which scared another stylist. The cashier was even uneasy. They did not inspire any confidence... Orlando walked in for his late shift while I contemplated what style to chose. I explained to him how I wanted almost a pixie haircut or otherwise a standard shoulder cut. He actually discouraged me from the shoulder cut, and was the only one who actually told me I could pull of a really short cut. He was trendy. During the process he was sweet and funny. I came here to accompany my friend on a pedicure. This place is Colombian so they do things a little different than most nail salons. They were very clean and took their time with each toe. They do not have gel colors but my friends toes lastly a long time. Better to pay in cash then cards because there is an extra tax. Appointment only for pedicures I believe. 2 separate stylists (Guillermo & Carlos) on 2 separate occasions (12/07 & 12/08) gave drastically different haircuts - both equally pleasing. A walk-in's delight! In between cuts, I've popped in a few times for blow-outs. Interestingly enough, the pricing never changed much - blow out & cut vs. just blow-out (between $35 - $40) I would definitely recommend this place - they are open six days a week. Yes, it certainly helps to speak Spanish (since most of the staff speak it primarily) but English-only clients shouldn't be dissuaded by this. As with most places, this place is packed on Saturdays & Friday (all day). You're likely to have your pick of stylists during the middle of the week. I've never had to wait more than ten minutes. But if you're the antsy type, Starbucks is across the street. read more

Have you ladies ever experienced a Colombian mani pedi? Well, let me tell you that it doesn't get better than that. A Colombian Mani pedi consists of a no frills, no bullshit massage and a satisfied customer like me... This place delivers just that. Starting with the nice ladies taking your coats and offering a drink. Followed by a plastic liner in the tub (no fungi worries). If you need callous cream, it is applied at no additional cost. The technicians REALLY clean all the cuticles and excess skin unlike the nails salons that pretend to push your cuticle back a if you're some sort of a freaken idiot. My favorite technician is Liliana followed by Salome. Liliana preps your nail as if your getting gel nails and the polish lasts close to a week. Not 2 days. Don't look for a massage or crazy designs. They don't do that. As far as price, its competitive. I won't go anywhere else. They also have great hair stylist at very reasonable prices. read more

I absolutely LOVE my nail tech Diana! She is AMAZING! She takes time to really clean your nails and is very professional. Always on time and does original excellent designs! A pedicure takes about one hour. When I get my pedicures done with her they last me over a month with no problem. They use the nail polish brand Masglo, & Essie. Parking is always easy to get. Regular pedicure just one color is $16. Pedicure with design and or French is $20. An amazing deal!! Definitely come see her your toes will thank you! LIFE CHANGING !!! I went here about a month ago for a simple wash and blow out. I absolutely loved how I walked out. The style lasted for about a week without getting greasy. It was clean and efficient. Only reason I give it a 4/5 stars is because I was charged $50, then an extra $4 for using card. A little pricey. Better off bringing cash. Staff is very nice, will be coming here again. read more

HORRIBLE job ! I came in to get an ombré look and they turned my whole was white ! Straight white hair. I've never been so disappointed and devastated. They said they could do it when I showed a picture of what I wanted and in detail explained what I wanted and they still managed to mess up. I can't begin to explain how angry I am but I hope this will never happen to someone else. Please do not come here. Save your hair and your self. I literally left before I had my pedicure. I called to make an appointment. They told me to come in half an hour for a pedicure. I walked in and the place was an immediate turn off...women had their husbands and multiple children crowding out the salon, waiting for them. It was extremely loud from all of these unnecessary people. The place just had a scuffed up, poorly maintained feel. Of course, the nail technician wasn't ready, so I sat down. While I was sitting, I noticed that the nail technician had her wrist in bandages and wasn't working with gloves. I then noticed one of the assistants pull out a pair of used, dirty (white design had turned brown) beach flip flops from a chest for the woman ahead of me to use after her pedicure. I looked around the shop and asked where the drying stations are. The woman pointed to a $3 plastic fan on top of a table, which I guess she was planning to put on the floor? It was literally the type of fan you purchase at a thrift store, with a diameter of about 6 inches...the kind that sometimes has an alligator clip on it in case you want to attach it to something? I just turned around and walked out. Between the chicken bus style over crowding, the lateness, the bandages, the dirty flip flops, and the $3 fan, I just wasn't feeling it. My standards for services in JH are really low, but this didn't even make the grade. read more
