Laredo Grill was suggested to me by a local resident. I arrived shortly after 4pm. They have a full bar. Sports tv is playing everywhere. Good Mexican music in the background. I was immediately seated. It wasn't busy at all. The waitress provided a menu and brought over chips and salsa. I placed an order for the Mexican Trio appetizer plate. 3 chicken quesadillas, chicken flautas and steak nachos presented with salad $15.99. I had no idea that the portion would be so much. I ate what I could. Left the steak nachos but I took the chicken quesadillas to go. The sweet tea was good. The customer service was blah. The waitress only came back by once. She spent the rest of the time rolling silverware. I might visit again with Hubby because the restaurant is so colorful and inviting. I did enjoy the music playing. read more

Laredo Grill is located in the same shopping plaza as the Piggly Wiggly. With that being said, parking should not be an issue. The ambiance in this Mexican restaurant is pretty much in line with countless other Mexican restaurants across the country. This is not a negative comment, just a factual comment. I also think it is a positive and comforting vibe to this particular restaurant. My server was friendly and I ended up going with one of their lunch specials. I went with the super burrito with steak. The lunch special was fairly priced at about nine dollars. Prior to them bringing my burrito, they brought the chips and salsa. I have to say that the salsa was a bit weak. The burrito, though, was pretty good. Overall, this was a good option for a quick lunch if you are craving Mexican food and are in the Quincy, Florida area. I will give it four stars overall. read more

We've been living in Quincy for about four years now and we have yet to have a bad meal or experience at Laredo. This week the chips came out hot and fresh and the salsa was sweet and delicious. Really kicked off the meal perfectly. We opted this visit to split the chicken fajitas and they were absolutely delicious with the fresh grilled tortillas. The chicken was succulent and hot and sizzling and flavored perfectly. We usually get the chorizo dip adopted not to this visit, but it's always delicious. My wife had a glass of chardonnay and I had a corona that was colder than a well diggers behind. Our service was polite and attentive, and they really hustle. Always quick to refill your water. The ambience is a little lacking and sometimes it can be a little loud and the booths are not the most comfortable, but we absolutely love our meals at Laredo. read more

Round dos. Year later and hit Laredo Grill again. I live in South Florida so I don't get buy here often. This time I had the shrimp chimichanga. The plated presented well and was very hot (plus). Did double beans and no rice. Plate came as requested. Once again, can not speak highly enough about the flavor and taste of the food here. Was served chips salsa within a minute of sitting down. Waiter was at my table immediately. Again, excellent service. When it comes to atmosphere, I felt like I was back in San Diego or even Cabo San Lucas (one of our favorite spots). Only downside is the neighborhood. It is in a small strip mall with Piggly Wiggly so it is safe. read more

Overcharged and had us pay more than it should have actually cost. Apparently the menu on yelp is not up to date so make sure you ask the cost or for an itemized check as they do not provide one. Would not refund their mistake to my card. I would have had to go back in for a refund ultimately consuming my time and more money to get back there. What goes around comes around! There was no real attempt to redeem themselves of their screw up! The food was edible but nothing special! The burrito was not the kind you pick up and eat and the other order of enchiladas was basically soup. Won't be ordering from there again. I was really looking forward to dining here after reading some reviews. It looked a bit sketchy in the parking lot (plenty of spaces), but the inside was pretty average for a Mexican restaurant...all colorfully painted and decorated. I dined at the bar. I ordered up the carnitas combo dinner and a draft Model Especial. You get the standard chips and salsa while you wait...they were good! I watched a little soccer on the bar TV monitor while waiting for my food to arrive. When it did, it looked awesome. But things go down from there. Other than the rice, there wasn't much flavor. I had to add lots of the salsa to give both the beans (w/queso) and the meat any real flavor. Good thing my beer was good! Maybe other dishes taste good, but mine did not. So I was very disappointed. This is about 3.5 stars restaurant if we have a half star system. Since Quincy is a small town, they may be the best restaurant around. We arrived at 8:45 pm and they are close at 9 pm. They did seat us down. We are glad that we have a sit down restaurant in time because all restaurants in 40 miles radius close at 9 pm except waffles house. This place has cute and nice interior decor. It has Mexican touch. We have ordered the shrimp diablo and Mexican rib eyes steak. The Mexican rib eyes steak served over tomato onion sauce at sizzling plate. The steak can be better quality but for the price paid is good enough. The shrimp diablo is the best dish of the night. The sauce they use is very good. The broccoli soak all the goody of the sauce and make it very flavorful. Overall, we have good experience. read more

Come hungry. We are four old farts traveling from Florida to California. We were greeted with a warm smile and warm chips and salsa. We passed on the specialty drinks but they were tempting. Three of us ordered the Chicken Laredo Burito and one ordered a beef taco salad. The taco salad was delicious but their signature Burito...All I can say is OMG. We expected small Burito, it filled a large plate. The grilled onions and bell peppers were charred to perfection. If you like Fajitas you will love this Burito. None of us finished our meals. Their guacamole was the creamy style, while I enjoyed it, I prefer mine chunky and with a little more cilantro. The authentic Mexican am ience was present. We rated 4 star only because the service was little slow. We eaited quite awhile to place our order and after we received our plates we ran out of fluids and were never offered refills. I know, this is not as many stars as others have given but I am comparing to many other experiences in oither cities. Located in the Piggly Wiggly shopping center, there was plenty of parking. On entry, it was quiet and we were quickly seated (it did get busier as our meal progressed). It took a moment to be approached for drink orders and chips... I did like their chips and salsa. When the drinks arrived, the margaritas were large and appeared to be potent from the reactions. After a few more minutes, we placed our orders. I naturally asked for a modification of the basic burrito... yes, I wanted lettuce and tomatoes added. It did seem to take quite a while for the food to arrive but no worries, the chips were replenished to keep us "happy". The food arrived and looked tasty but I was disappointed to see my burrito wasn't prepared as requested. It appeared rather anemic. It needed something... salsa. We had consumer all that was on the table so it was time to catch our waiter. This took a while (and again to get the check). Overall, the service was ok but not outstanding and the atmosphere was basic Mexican. As I compare this to other Mexican restaurant (yes, this is a favorite), it's only ok in my book but may be rated higher for this area. Enjoy! read more

4/14/2019 update: So after dining here several times I have to up my star rating to 4. Simply put Laredo Grill puts out good food and their Margarita 2-for-1 special can't be beat. Service can be a little sketchy at times but not awful. They normally stay super busy during dinner hours which has the servers running around accommodating everyone, hence the sometimes sketchy service. Thanks again Yelp - a must visit! Sunday night most restaurants are closed except the fast food chains. So after reading the two reviews we thought we should head out and check the place out. We are staying at the Holiday Inn at I10 and headed north into town. The restaurant is on highway 90 in the Piggly Wiggly shopping center. West of town. It's Sunday evening and although the parking lot had many cars - most were either shopping or washing cloths at the laundry (located in the same strip mall). Only about 6 other folks in the restaurant My wife had a Taco salad and I had their #E. A chili relleno, beef enchilada, beef taco. They have a number of draft beers. Plus margaritas! The food isn't very good. The tacos el pastor were dreadful. The flautas were a little better. The rice and beans were salty and the salsa didn't have much flavor. The service was terrible it seems like they didn't want to wait on us when we walked inside the restaurant. It seemed like they were purposely avoiding us. It seems like they don't like Americans in general. Then we got seated after receiving the chips and salsa a fly landed on my chips . The service was far too slow; slow to give our order, slow to get food, and slow to get check, for Mexican food (even good Mexican food shouldn't take that long) and the food in general left something to be desired. I ordered a tossed salad as a side and what I got was iceberg lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and shredded cheese. No dressing, nothing else. The quesadillas were not anything special either. Laredo Grill is another average Mexican Restaurant, but pretty good for being in Quincy. It is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking spots. We came in for lunch and I ordered a burrito. It was loaded with steak and all the usual veggies. To top it off there was a smother of melted white cheese on top. It was a little too much of the cheese and the consistency was a bit watery. I had asked for a side of sour cream, but that never came. Chips and salsa were nothing great, but I was very hungry and kept eating them. Did not have any margaritas on this visit, but maybe next time I can tell you my opinion on those. Most Quincy locals seem to love this place. It took 15 minutes to have someone notice us and take our order and another 30 minutes to get a taco salad and appetizer platter to credit the kitchen the food was hot when delivered and tasted good but after waiting 45 min my appetite was gone read more
