We gave Shauna every detail possible about my mother-in-law's condition and after checking a few other places, decided to take her for an evaluation to determine the care needed. We all agreed on level 3 care with Jennifer the head nurse. We moved her in after a week or so and my wife stayed for a couple of days to help her get used to her new environment. My mother-in-law is prone to falling and did so on her second night in the place. My wife pushed her emergency button on her arm. After about 20 mins my wife went to go see if someone could help. There was no one around to be found and it took over an hour and a half for someone to come check on her. By then my wife was already able to help her back to bed. It seems like the nurses did the bare minimum for my mother-in-law the whole time she was there. At Thanksgiving we decided to see if wanted to come stay the night with us and have dinner. We brought her home and realized during that entire two weeks there that they had not bathed her at all because, she smelled really bad and when asked why, we were given the excuse that there was a bandage on her arm. We decided to bring my mother-in-law home for good and put in notice to quit. when I went to get some of her things to bring home the nurses told me they were concerned about her wine drinking. I let them know that Shauna and Jennifer were made fully aware of my mother-in-law's condition, but I have the feeling they were just working on damage control. We are currently looking for legal advice on this situation. Please DO NOT bring your loved one to this place!! The sales pitch is amazing but, they absolutely do not do the things they say they do. The monthly cost for this care that we paid 2 months' worth on was $7,800.00 They need to get the people better help in this place for sure.

Notably, the property has introduced complimentary meals--an important improvement from the previous requirement for tenants to pay. The management always provided incredible service, above and beyond what was expected. She enjoyed getting to know the other guests and delighted both staff and residents when she would sing as she strolled through the facility. If she needed anything, all she had to do was ask and the caring staff would help her. I recommend Radcliffe Place as a perfect place for a Independent senior to live. All staffs were friendly and professional, including the community's van drivers, especially the young man in a flower Hawaii shirt, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I enjoyed my time visiting all four communities, Weatherly Inn is my favorite, excellent retirement facilities, beautiful and upscale. Merrill Gardens & Chateau Valley Center are great too. What a fun way to explore four wonderful communities in the area, learn about pricing, amenities, the active retirement lifestyle, and walked away with a better sense of what senior living in Renton has to offer.

Our entire nursing and care staff are AMAZING. You can see the genuine love for their jobs and the residents. Raena, our Community Relations Director, truly cares about the people that she brings in. She is thorough and makes sure that a prospective resident will be the right fit at our community. If she believes that we cannot offer them something they need, she will help them find another place to go instead. That shows miles of integrity, to me. Our residents touch my life on a daily basis. I can come in to work with an empty cup and leave overflowing. You just feel good when you walk in the doors. There is something in the air here. I would be honored to have a family member, or loved one, live here any day. This is truly a magical place.

I was impressed by the staff's quick responses to emails and their patience with us as we floundered around not knowing what was going to be best for dad. Shout out to Jodi and Ollie, who took us on many re-tours and answered all of our questions. I especially wanted dad in the memory care at Chateau. It seemed like the right place for him. We were ready to move him in and our lives took a shart turn and he did not move in. But, our experience with the staff and their concern for what was best for dad needed to be acknowledged. We are in our early 80s and the majority of our fellow residents are 5-10 year older but we have established some good relationships that we value. Maintenance in the facility is top notch. If something breaks, it gets fixed quickly and efficiently. Every week, there are interesting excursions to gardens, theaters, museums and performances at minimal cost and included transportation. An extensive assortment of fitness activities, a fully equipped exercise room and an indoor pool are first rate. Finally, we feel that the food offerings have improved noticeably to a level on par with what I would cook myself. We do not expect to ever see restaurant grade offerings or food that is exotically spiced but we are satisfied with the everyday fare. Residents and their families have voiced concerns over rising costs contrasted by less staff and longer wait times for assistance. The food served to the residents is dismal. At breakfast, the food is either burnt or gelatinous from sitting in a pan too long. Bistro food is good, aside from the stale desserts. Three nights ago, my loved one asked them to call 911 for her because she had fallen or blacked out. They did not. One hour later, I arrived and took my loved one the emergency room myself. Then last night, they DID send my loved one to the emergency room, but failed to call me at all. Late the next afternoon (today), when I couldn't reach her, I called Cogir. Only THEN they told me "they sent her out last night" meaning she had gone to the Emergency Room. They acknowledged that their policy is to call me, and that they should have, but they did not call me. No missed calls. No voice mail. This was a specific question I asked before my loved one became a resident there. I received assurances that this was an existing policy. They could talk the talk during their sales pitch, but not so good at walk the walk.

The first time we went to take a look at the facility we noticed it was so clean and bright, there were lots of friendly tenants and activities going on. The faculty was so cheery and helpful giving us a tour and a lunch that was actually quite good. My dad is walking and getting out of his room every day with other people to talk to and dine with. Every member of the staff was extremely flexible, accommodating and communicative from the application process to move-in and beyond. My MIL loves it there. We've had meals several times in the restaurant, and the food really is restaurant quality. Her one bedroom apartment is well-appointed, clean, cozy, has ample storage & closet space, and even has its own washer & dryer. The staff knows every resident's name, and I watch as they make important personal connections every day. Safety is paramount, requiring each resident to push a "check-in" button located in each apartment, between 5am-9am. If the resident does not check-in, the staff immediately checks on them.
