I began the difficult process of researching memory care facilities. After touring many facilities, we found Aegis Living of Kent to be the best of the bunch. The staff is amazing, the flow of their facility is wonderful and their apartments are much nicer than any of the other properties I toured. They have have fun events for residents and their families, they have their own bus for group outings. Their secured outside grounds for residents is beautifully maintained (my mom loves to be outdoors when the weather is nice). I valued finding a facility that is fully focused on memory care, and not a hybrid property where you have both assisted living AND memory care and the staff rotate between both. At Aegis Living of Kent, the entire facility is focused on memory care, so the staff is experienced in this area. I highly recommend Aegis Living of Kent if you are seeking a memory care facility for a loved one.

Our entire nursing and care staff are AMAZING. You can see the genuine love for their jobs and the residents. Raena, our Community Relations Director, truly cares about the people that she brings in. She is thorough and makes sure that a prospective resident will be the right fit at our community. If she believes that we cannot offer them something they need, she will help them find another place to go instead. That shows miles of integrity, to me. Our residents touch my life on a daily basis. I can come in to work with an empty cup and leave overflowing. You just feel good when you walk in the doors. There is something in the air here. I would be honored to have a family member, or loved one, live here any day. This is truly a magical place.

Shout out to Jodi and Ollie, who took us on many re-tours and answered all of our questions. I especially wanted dad in the memory care at Chateau. It seemed like the right place for him. We were ready to move him in and our lives took a shart turn and he did not move in. But, our experience with the staff and their concern for what was best for dad needed to be acknowledged. The staff was patient with us as we were each good at offering our advice! Staff at Weatherly is amazing. They have a way of immediately adopting residents into their "family" and wrapping them with love and attention. Mom received exceptional care. From maintenance, to laundry services, to the kitchen, to the administration to the caregivers; everyone works to see that the residents' needs are met. Mom died recently and again, the staff did not disappoint us. Tenderness and thoughtfulness oozed from everyone at Weatherly. My entire family does not hesitate to recommend Weatherly Inn in Kent. Tried "Taste of Senior Living" event for the 1st time on 7/16th. All staffs were friendly and professional, including the community's van drivers, especially the young man in a flower Hawaii shirt, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I enjoyed my time visiting all four communities, Weatherly Inn is my favorite, excellent retirement facilities, beautiful and upscale. Merrill Gardens & Chateau Valley Center are great too. What a fun way to explore four wonderful communities in the area, learn about pricing, amenities, the active retirement lifestyle, and walked away with a better sense of what senior living in Renton has to offer.

Three nights ago, my loved one asked them to call 911 for her because she had fallen or blacked out. They did not. One hour later, I arrived and took my loved one the emergency room myself. Then last night, they DID send my loved one to the emergency room, but failed to call me at all. Late the next afternoon (today), when I couldn't reach her, I called Cogir. Only THEN they told me "they sent her out last night" meaning she had gone to the Emergency Room. They acknowledged that their policy is to call me, and that they should have, but they did not call me. No missed calls. No voice mail. This was a specific question I asked before my loved one became a resident there. I received assurances that this was an existing policy. They could talk the talk during their sales pitch, but not so good at walk the walk.
