This place is really run down and can not afford routine maintenance. The living conditions are horrible.

We love the area and it was time to make life simpler while having support nearby. Arbor Village has been offering assistance in all areas of our life. From medical issues, to dining and generally offering aide in every possible way, we are greatly enjoying the ambiance, beauty and comforts here. The staff is helpful, empathetic and supportive at all times. It has been a most positive move.

We gave Shauna every detail possible about my mother-in-law's condition and after checking a few other places, decided to take her for an evaluation to determine the care needed. We all agreed on level 3 care with Jennifer the head nurse. We moved her in after a week or so and my wife stayed for a couple of days to help her get used to her new environment. My mother-in-law is prone to falling and did so on her second night in the place. My wife pushed her emergency button on her arm. After about 20 mins my wife went to go see if someone could help. There was no one around to be found and it took over an hour and a half for someone to come check on her. By then my wife was already able to help her back to bed. It seems like the nurses did the bare minimum for my mother-in-law the whole time she was there. At Thanksgiving we decided to see if wanted to come stay the night with us and have dinner. We brought her home and realized during that entire two weeks there that they had not bathed her at all because, she smelled really bad and when asked why, we were given the excuse that there was a bandage on her arm. We decided to bring my mother-in-law home for good and put in notice to quit. when I went to get some of her things to bring home the nurses told me they were concerned about her wine drinking. I let them know that Shauna and Jennifer were made fully aware of my mother-in-law's condition, but I have the feeling they were just working on damage control. We are currently looking for legal advice on this situation. Please DO NOT bring your loved one to this place!! The sales pitch is amazing but, they absolutely do not do the things they say they do. The monthly cost for this care that we paid 2 months' worth on was $7,800.00 They need to get the people better help in this place for sure.

Management won't talk to the renters or be responsive to their health safety concerns. There's a resident who's had several fire hazards and noxious odors from his room making people sick and management won't address those issues. Some of their washers and dryers have remained broken for months and aren't fixed yet. These issues were raised about a year ago and still no improvement in the living conditions. A 0 zero star review is more appropriate than a 1 star.

I helped a friend get their grandmother into this home, by authorizing a ONE TIME payment to cover…read morethe first month's costs ($14,500). I wrote the exact amount, and did NOT check the box indicating that it would be an unlimited amount, or recurring. Imagine my surprise when I looked at my bank account and saw they had charged me the next month's full rent of $8,000. Unfortunately, it ran the same day my Q1 taxes for 3 of my businesses (State L&I, ESD and DOR + FEDERAL taxes for each)., and payroll were due to be paid from my accounts. This left me negative and hit with fees for not only the overdraft but also penalties and interest for the payments that had insufficient funds to process. I called Covington, who told me they "usually get the authorization form that tells them if they can use the card for future payments, but just didn't this time..." (so, you just decided to assume, and set it up anyway???) and, rather than offering me a refund, I was instructed to call my bank to dispute it. This floored me... I was telling them I was overdrawn and in a scenario that was caused because of their error, and they wouldn't even offer a REFUND. I had to take more time I don't have, and wait way longer than just simply having it returned to me and the rest fixed later. When asked, they didn't know how to handle the rest of the issues they caused for me. I told them they needed to figure out how to resolve them, and fix the massive (and expensive) issue this caused me. I was told they would contact a higher-up and that I'd hear back the next day (this was Wednesday - it's now Saturday). Needless to say, they haven't picked up the phone. I have to run this week's payroll tomorrow and won't have the money for that now, either. I contacted my bank to dispute it (which I shouldn't have had to do), and was told there was an additional $14,500 due to come out later this month, as well... Apparently, Covington not only wrongfully set up my account on an autopay that I didn't authorize, but they also made the mistake of setting the STARTER payment AND monthly payments to both run as autopayments. I don't know the first thing about how they run the actual facility itself, what it looks like, or how they treat their residents... but, if I could judge based off of these very LARGE oversights, and how they handled it? I would tell everyone to run far FAR away from it. Mistakes are one thing... how you handle them will tell me everything I need to know about a business. I'm sure I won't see a dime from them, offering to help right what they wronged. However, I'm happy to update if I do.

In all fairness the appointment was arranged through a third party service. With that said, we arrived at the appointed time and there was no one at the counter. a full 15 minutes later there was still no one there. One staff member did walk by and asked if we needed help but was unable to provide any assistance. That staff member also failed to call the front desk person back to the front desk. While we waited there was an "incident" with a resident and her coat. It was a small matter (she couldn't pull the hood out that was out of place on her back). If the front counter person had been there this would've made this woman's life better. I seriously hope this was a one-off incident.

My father in law was needing more care as we could not stop in each week so we asked them to help with shaving and reminders for showering and help with dressing. We agreed to and paid the increased fees that they required for this additional care. When we face timed my father in law, it was very evident he was not getting any of this care, hair was long and unkept, full beard so never was shaved, yet we were paying the higher per month fee. We called 3 times for the nurse to look at a sore that was evident on his leg with no call back. We asked that the podiatrist see him at the end of last month for nail clipping when in at the facility, and that was never done either though we paid for this additional care each month. We then rec'd an email saying that my father in law needed to move into their Memory care unit and the cost would got up over 5,000 per mo. My husband responded saying that since they don't take medicare when private funds run out, we would need to move him to a different facility and asked if we could do that during covid restrictions. We found a memory care facility within 3 weeks of them notifying us that they recommended memory care. Though they never had him formally evaluated for memory care, though they never moved him into the Memory Care Units, though we told them we did not agree to this proposal. Brannan Park charged our Auto pay for the $5,000 + memory care charge without our consent. nor placement of him into their memory care unit. We luckily were able to stop the auto payment on our end and moved him out within the month. They are the most corrupt and fraudulent management and I caution anyone that is thinking of the Village Concepts Assisted Living /Memory Care. DO NOT place your family member with this organization. The Brannan Park in Auburn especially. I cannot believe how unprofessional they have been. NO Star rating in our opinion.
