When it was fitted and I went to pay, I was very surprised and disappointed to be charged the £193 + £40 for the 20 minutes it took to swap it out. Groves Batteries website should be far clearer about the fitting charge.

Tell me it will be collected on a day then it wasn't. Tell me they will rearrange and it wasn't. Now tell me I have to fork out another £20 to get it collected. Then tell me to take to Halfords to get them to check it and email them with fault report. Get it checked and Halfords tested struggles to even read how bad the battery is. Send them the report and get told that it wasn't tested properly as it wasn't charged! Its DUFF and it wont charge!!! Now tell me that, yes you have guessed it, I need to pay them another £20!!! He argued that it would be a huge task to find somewhere to check the battery and then I remembered this little blue cart I used to pass on my way to work. We left the watch with them for 10 minutes as there was somewhere else we wanted to pop to quickly. When we returned the watch was as good as new, as I'd suspected all it needed was a new battery. A complete bargain for £4.50 and so convenient being right on the high street. A very speedy service as well.

The check proved my concerns that the battery was failing so I purchased a new one. The fitter ran a second battery across the terminals to ensure I didn't lose all power to the car. This meant I didn't have to search for the keycode for the radio/cd player. Very good service on this occasion. I came back her last month to have a check on my daughters battery on her Ford Fiesta. The fitter could not fault the battery, so a good honest place to take your car to.
