Delicious! This place is always busy because the food is so good! I always get the thick knife cut noodles. The texture of the noodles are so chewy and enjoyable to eat. The wait for a table can be long and it is a first come first grab sort of situation. While you are waiting, you can see the noodles being hand-pulled so it wasn't too bad. Came here on a Saturday with the family. Finished everything on our plates. We ordered regular noodles in beef soup, regular stir fried noodles with chicken, scallion pancakes and beef dumplings. Total with tip came out to about $38 to feed 2 adults and 2 children. Not too bad. The food came out quickly and was yummy. Beef noodle soup was light and flavorful and had a decent amount of very tender beef. The noodles were a great consistency. The stir fried noodles with chicken had a great wok taste. Chicken was just okay I'll probably go with a different protein next time. The beef dumplings were good and had some juice in it almost like a soup dumpling but its pan fried. Scallion pancakes were delicious for scallion pancakes. My only complaint is that the restaurant itself is small and tables are close together, so leave the stroller in the car. read more

What I disliked most was there was no AC that day, even though it's 90 degrees outside! It was getting unbearable and I don't know why the owner did not turn on AC. Food for the most part was very good! We tried: Roast pork noodle soup - Really tasty. Noodles were great, broth was super flavorful. Chicken stir fry - Also really hit the spot. Noodles are a great texture and the meat and vegetables had great flavor. Chicken fried rice - average, not bad but nothing to write home about. Pan fried pork bun - taste was good but some parts looked a little undercooked which was worrisome. The only negative was the service, the place was chaos. We waited FOREVER for our order (nearly an hour), everything came out randomly at all different times, and nobody seemed to know what any table had ordered or what parts of the order had already been fulfilled. This place used to be pretty good. Authentic food, decent amount, okay service. However, when I was there today, I noticed that things were quite different now. The beef wasn't as authentic as it was before, neither was the chili sauce, and the most important thing was, the amount of noodles in the bowl was outrageously small. Hadn't it been too hot for a two year old, a baby at that age would be able to finish it quite easily within 2 or 3 minutes, seriously. While hand pulled noodles are among my favorite food, and I know that there aren't many hand pulled noodles in DMV area, but even if this place were to be the only one left in the area, I won't go to this place or recommend this place ever again. As it is getting close to the end of the year, I am very confident to say that this would be my most disappointing dining experience of 2019. read more

I'm not really one to write bad reviews but I felt my opinion might be worth something here. We ate here for the first (and only) time this weekend. My son got the roasted duck noodle soup. It was fine except that there were so many bones that there was only about 1-2 small pieces worth of actual duck meat. We explained the situation and they were very quick to bring out more duck meat. Same issue, full of bones, very little meat. Wherever they get their meat just chops everything at once, bones and all. I got the brisket noodle soup. Similar issue. While there weren't any bones, there were huge pieces of fat floating in the soup. More fat than actual meat. They also put bok choy into the soup. While this is fine and tasty, huge stalks of it are really hard to eat when you are using chopsticks. There were only a couple other things in the soup besides the noodles. We have had MUCH better soup in other places. My husband had the beef and noodles (not soup). He said that was tasty. I think it is overpriced for the so-so quality. I understand that the noodles are the main reason for coming here but there should at least be several pieces of meat that you don't have to pull apart with your fingers to actually get at. I also understand that the culture eat pretty much all of the meat, fat, bones and all but this restaurant is in the middle of Rio with a different clientelle. Also, the restaurant is very small and seating is at a premium. read more

Been here twice, I've gotten the beef brisket combination noodle soup with knife cut noodles and the oxtail noodle soup with hand pulled noodles. I thought the broth and hand pulled noodles were done pretty well. Lots of flavor in the soup and the noodles had a good bite. For the knife cut noodles, I think they were great on the first couple bites but they got soggy and dense quickly. For the meats, I thought that the oxtail was not as good, there were only 4 pieces and most of them were a little too tough. I think if they cooked it longer, the cartilage would break down better and it would be more tender. For the beef brisket combination, it was done much better and they were tender. I've also had the pan fried pork buns and scallion pancakes. The pan fried pork buns were done really well and I'd highly recommend them. Super juicy and meaty. The scallion pancakes were just ok, a little too oily for my taste. Overall, I'd come here again since it's close by and hopefully they can put out more consistent quality as time goes by. read more

Decent sized restaurant that was filled with patrons on a Friday evening. We weren't able to find a spot to eat inside, but luckily it was a nice day out so we dined outside in front of the restaurant. Even though it was busy, we had a pretty short wait in line to order our food and it came out quickly. Our group tried the beef noodle soup, beef tendon noodle soup, and veggie and tofu noodles stir fry. We all got different noodle types, knife cut, hand pulled regular and hand pulled thick. Though the flavors of the noodle were the same, the different sizes had different textures. I personally liked the hand pulled thick noodles the best. The soup had good flavor, but the stir fry had this great smoky flavor. It was a tad bit oily. Menu is pretty short so easier to make a decision for indecisive eaters like myself who want to try everything. Since we dined our front, several people were walking by and we heard comments from many people saying "ooh that looks so good"... well, not only did it look good, it tasted delicious.
