First- he made good on a years old quote for replacing a dozen old windows with insulated units. Next- the craftsmen were polite, respectful and quick. Then- they cleaned up and hauled away the old panes, except for one large old wavy "pre-float" glass that i liked because i can appreciate the look of that type of glass. AND if you are looking for a greenhouse, check out their beautiful glass and wood buildings! I saw one art the Art and Vineyard Festival.

After getting 6 different quotes in the area, I also think that their work comes in at an excellent value. Sam and his crew were great to work with--attention to detail, efficient, and professional. I would highly recommend this company for any floor work.

We were not the easiest customers. We had never built before, used a custom design, AND insisted on being involved in many ways that probably weren't convenient for Mark (our build manager). Would absolutely recommend Stonewood and use them again ourselves.

In 2018 I moved into my newly built home by Stonewood Construction. Due to issues with finish work…read moreI was forced to bring in the CCB board. After mediation I signed a waiver releasing stonewood of future issues. Fast forward to 2021 when mold appeared suddenly on my ceiling and drywall tape started separating. To my dismay, Stonewood Construction did not follow my city approved plans and the entire roof was not vented. Anyone familiar with a shed style roof knows that the venting is different then your traditional roof. The damage is extensive, estimated at $70,000 including removal of a large section of the roof. Stonewood Construction has chosen not to cover the damage, falling back on the old totally unrelated CCB agreement. This is their right. However they do not appear to have the ethical standards to pay for this repair. It was their huge mistake, and I believe that an excellent company would take care of this regardless of the CCB board ruling because it is the RIGHT thing to do. Buyer beware!!!!

The lady running the show is a joke. She showed up wasted, and was extremely rude. They did a horrible job on my gutters, they did not cut them or seal them properly so i had to have a new company come out less than a month later. And to top it all of, i have recently learned some disgusting ews about the owner and his past. I honestly think its probably in everyone's best interest to do a background check on the owner of this business. He's got a pretty lengthy record and if you have kids at home it's probably not the best choice. I did not do this prior to hiring them and regret it.

While the end result looks fine, the process was a long, drawn-out nightmare spanning three painful MONTHS. The project went on so long I even had a homeless camper sleeping on my porch, thinking the house was abandoned (though I was actually living there the whole time). I'd come home to find the workers wandering around smoking cigarettes and talking on their cell phones, complaining about how hard the work was. (As my neighbor pointed out, they never had to lift more than ten pounds max.) Someone had scrawled "Megan" in giant letters with permanent marker on the side of the house, and after weeks of coming home to this I inquired; apparently it was a hairdresser recommendation. Things were broken: the irrigation system, the fence, even the brand new sidewalk (chipped in two places by a drill), and the repairs ended up looking worse than the original damage. By the time they were wrapping up, they'd forgotten which cables to cut, and instead of asking, they just nailed them all back up on the brand new siding. One guy they brought in for a day stuffed his cigarette butts in the wall, so my bedroom smelled like an ashtray for ages. Bleck! That was seriously disgusting. Four years later, there is still an occasional toxic smell from whatever noxious adhesive that guy used. Jasen and Gary were knowledgeable, polite and professional, but they over-promised and under-delivered. In the end, their profuse apologies and even the small discount they agreed to didn't make up for the inconvenience of having a porta-potty, dumpster and loads of supplies/equipment on my small property for all that time, not to mention missed work days and Airbnb opportunities. They obviously have many a satisfied customer; I just wouldn't take that as a guarantee that you will have as positive an experience. I certainly would not consider using them again.

We love our new wood floors! Purchase and installation was easy and perfect! We were greeted and…read moreasked what we had in mind. Imperial employee picked out several samples and explained the pro/cons of each. When we narrowed our selection down to three flooring types they sent us home with large samples to lay on our floor to compare and choose which one we liked best. The bathroom and laundry tile we picked was quite heavy and thick and we were not sure the floor could hold it. Imperial employee had us place a glass of water on the current floor and jump up and down to see if the water sloshed in the glass. It did not, so he came out to inspect the floor to make sure we had the proper support. We did and apparently the water glass trick indicates you probably have good support if the water does not move during vibration. They came and inspected anyway. The installers did a fabulous job and asked great questions. I love the reclaimed saw marks in the wood. I also like having wood and not a composite becauseI know that it will last. The installers gave a very slight gap under the trim for shrink/swell and we have had no buckling issues 2 years later. All of the trim work was done by another contractor that Imperial arranged for us as well as a plumber. The flooring by Imperial removed and replaced the cabinetry trim. The plumber was not very bright but the young apprentice with him was! The plumber said the flooring was too thick and the dishwasher would not fit back in. The young man pulled the dishwasher out and lowered the feet in the dishwasher and slid it in perfectly! The crews were clean and there was never any trash or material messes.

However, the company did not stand behind their installation work. Water from one of our showers would routinely leak out of the shower and on to the surrounding tile floor. Not being contractors, we assumed the issue had to do with the shower doors. We had our contractor out to review the situation, and discovered that when the tile was installed, the installer did not prepare the underlying surface correctly, and there was a high area in the middle of the shower that directed water to the outside of the shower, rather than to the drain. Imperial Floors refused to even look at the issue, stating we were outside of the warranty period. Clearly, this was an installation issue as was confirmed by our contractor. Our contractor was forced to remove the shower tile floor, and the underlying high spot, and have a different tile installer complete the installation. If Imperial Floors would have come to look at the issue it would have been clear, however the owner of Imperial Floors refused. This represents a complete lack of customer care. We would not use Imperial Floors again.
