    Chive Dumplings

Not for me. Visited last evening and had pleasant service. The food and flavors were not to my liking. The salt and pepper shrimp were battered and cooked with the shell remaining. That didn't work for me. The dumplings were ok. The wontons had a flavor not to my liking. Expensive for the experience.

Our daughter brought us here to dine when we came to visit this weekend. She had been telling us about this restaurant for sometime. We ordered the tuna, cauliflower, dumplings and warm squash salad to start. For dinner we ordered the steak as the restaurant is known for it and the bento box as I am gf and could not partake in the steak. Everything was just delicious! My favorite is the tuna and the squash salad, the steak is my daughter's and husband's favorite. Highly recommend and of course how could I forget the amazing drinks to start!

Returned for the first time in over ten years (had moved overseas for eight of the years) and it has not missed a beat. I would describe the menu as modern Asian but the most important thing is everything is excellent. Started by sharing two dishes with my daughter. We both loved the salad. The lettuce wraps were okay but probably the one thing I would not order again; they just lacked flavor. The true highlight was the shaking beef, cooked perfectly medium rare (without having to ask) with a perfect sauce, it was simply great. Tempted to order dessert but was too full, until next time.

The steak was good as well as the bento box. We also had the shrimp which was so so, the pork dumplings which were great and ended with the chocolate cake and ice cream. The service was incredible

From the moment you step foot inside, the Lantern staff and ambiance delivered. Great place for date night, my wife and I tried a variety of dishes and we fully enjoyed each bite along with the bottle of Nebbiolo; which ended pairing well with each course. For starters we sampled the Clara' Salad, Pea Shoot & Scallion Dumplings, Lettuce Cups and Korean Style Fried Cauliflower. Followed by The Shaking Beef entree prepared with caramelized red onions and water cress, I requested it medium. We also had the Lemongrass Grilled Country Pork Rib with perfectly cooked jasmine rice a fried egg and a fresh cucumber mint salad that had a slight hint of spice. Each dish was perfectly cooked and really paired well with the Nebbiolo. We topped of the meal with 2 decadent desserts the Hot Chocolate Cake which had delightfully Toasted coconut pieces. And we thought we would explore and try something unusual so the warm Native Persimmon Pudding was our non-conventional choice and we both agreed it did not disappoint. The service was great, the food quality was outstanding and truly delicious. With 3 kids we don't venture out on dates as often as we like. Therefore, we try to make the best possible choice and I am happy to say Lantern was a true pleasure, moreover, not having any digestive tregrets afterwords was a plus. We will definitely return soon and highly recommend the Lantern restaurant.

This place is a vibe and is the right pick for your next party! 10/10 would recommend :)

Bento box and Salt and pepper shrimp

The Bento box was a fun appetizer and pairing the salt and pepper shrimp was a great move! Good tastes, and fun to eat with my partner! The pork belly was complimented by yummy crisp cabbage and carrots that were full of flavor. The peashoot dumplings didn't live up to the hype, kind of tasteless and a one dimension flavor note....even the pea sauce was salty and missing a lift... maybe a touch of acidity needed! We have been waiting to come here for 6 years and it was a fun menu! Singha beer chased everything down well and the cocktail, the Porchlight, were great complements to the meal. We will come back!

Probably the best meal we had all year. The flavours were amazing. The fish was fresh. The meat was tender. Wonderful place!

Overrated and pretentious I tried this place several times and I find the flavor combinations here very unharmonious.

The place is pretty tucked away and didn't know it existed until I was invited. First thoughts were uh this is a bit shady walking up stairs and the building itself was not super well kept (not their fault). The bathroom looks so outdated and wasn't super comfortable that the bathroom is a shared one (two stalls, a urinal and it's just open to all) so wouldn't feel comfortable drinking alcohol and then possibly being alone in a bathroom where men are peeing right next to me. That's just my opinion and comfort. Regardless the place was cute- the bar had a lot of options for tap, they had MEAD! Extremely exciting as I LOVE Starrlight mead. The music was kinda all over the place from like 70s music and then the next was like a Fern Gully song -would just stick to one genre. The employees were also pretty nice (they ?Meredith? helped me over the phone as well). Notes: DO NOT PARK IN THE GRAVEL PARKING LOT- it's not theirs They seem to automatically tip, not sure how much, I wasn't given a receipt and didn't have the price of my drink so I can't deduct from my charge. They seem to have a pretty big card charge as well so maybe cash is better? They have a ton of events so check when you want to go during the week! I've added a photo.

Also the bathroom was disgusting and I threw all my clothes in the wash. It's near the college which I guess explains the sounds coming out of the speakers. Actually they were more like a series of constant screams accompanied by the unplugging and re-plugging in of instruments. Major cons: *limited parking *pee * about 10 tables * no one asked me about board games or cared. Pro: that brief period when the music stopped. Thankfully there were plenty of edgy hairstyles Do places like this care about money or is it just a front for the magic the gathering store?

I loved the music-themed menu concept, it fits the atmosphere so well. It is a little dark and moody. I ordered the Punk Rock Riot (a vodka drink), and my partner got a whiskey drink. Both were excellent. The Friday night vibes were great, and we had a fantastic time sitting at the bar and soaking it all in. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it felt like a place where you could easily spend a few hours enjoying good drinks, music, and company. As a bonus, I found out they sell cake too! I didn't try it this time, but it's definitely on my list for the next visit. A patron recommended the strawberry cake. If you're looking for classic or unique craft cocktails, look no further. Atlas Bar rotates their menu seasonally (and then some). I've had summer cocktails, tea inspired cocktails, and recently fall (or Thanksgiving) themed cocktails. There are sweet and not so sweet and even savory choices. Don't be scared away from the more unique cocktails such as the "hot chicken"or the "cornbread." The cornbread cocktail was honey-butter fat-washed mellowcorn, nixta corn liqueur, honey-nixta foam and a quick favorite. The decor is funky and classy at the same time. The bartenders are chill and nice. You can park behind the building or in the lot next to Armadillo Grill (not Carr Mill Mall!). You can order small bites from ACME and all options are delicious.
