I also had pink eye (i work at a preschool it was going around) they wouldn't give me eyedrops for my eye because they said it was from being sick. I had to actually argue with the doctor to give me eyedrops and antibiotic ( i was sick for weeks. got it confirmed it was pinkeye after this visit.) My boyfriend got sick the next couple of days so i took him to urgent care. once again he had a major fever, cough, sore throat etc etc same things as me. he was starting to get an ear infection. take a guess? they wouldn't give him anything. i had to speak up and say he needs eyedrops and he needs an antibiotic. urgent care (does not care.) anytime i have to go in there i have to tell them what I need. he was very sick and ear infections can turn into very bad things if you aren't careful, if they didn't give him an antibiotic it could've gotten way worse. also, you have to wait hours and hours even if you schedule ahead of time. the women at the front desk are also very mean and have attitudes. thank you urgent care for being horrible at your job all around michigan. you really put the 'care' into urgent care

They even told me to come back in three days if things didn't improve... so when a week later I came back feeling even worse, I thought I'd finally be taken seriously. Instead, I was dismissed again with no medication. The very next day I went to another urgent care and found out I had influenza. So no, it wasn't just my throat being a little overdramatic -- it was my entire immune system fighting for its life. I won't be coming back, but I do hope future patients are taken more seriously the first time.

That was an outright lie. I sat there, in excruciating pain from a scratched cornea, for over an hour and a half, barely able to keep my eye open. And just when I thought my turn was finally coming, I was bumped back further because a mother with a vomiting baby took priority. I understand triage, but at that point, I had already waited longer than anyone should in an urgent care setting. To make matters worse, when I tried to cancel my appointment and leave, I could not get the attention of a single staff member. I waved, I stood up, I even tried calling from inside the waiting room--nothing. Their complete lack of communication and concern for their patients is appalling. This place is an absolute joke. If you actually need urgent care, go literally anywhere else. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.

We were contacted by the office after this review posted, and once we were connected with the…read morecorrect person, the billing issue was finally resolved to our satisfaction. Apparently, this is an issue specific to Humana (which was our insurance at the time). Sometimes, they request claims be sent to another insurance provider. If the office is not "in network" with that provider, that is where the confusion comes in. There is no way to screen patients for this billing irregularity prior to care being given. My husband and I suggested since this has been on ongoing issue for them with Humana, maybe they need to have patients sign something, or have information posted in their office about this issue so it isn't a surprise for potential future patients. The collections call, which was the catalyst for the original review, was an oversight on their part, and should never have been placed. They saw our overdue account, and made the call without realizing we had been working with them to get the billing issue resolved. They have assured us this has been addressed, so this won't happen to patients in the future. We never had any issue with the care my son received, and since the customer service issues have been resolved, I have increased our star review.

Doc often takes multiple requests/multiple visits to get him to do anything. First time I had cysts…read moreremoved, I had to go for the 3rd or 4th time, refusing to leave if he didn't give me a referral to have the procedure done. There was a student shadowing him at the time, so he did the procedure. He joked about doctors being lazy and only draining cysts instead of removing, which does nothing because they always come back. A year or so later, I went in to have two new cysts removed and instead he drained them (without ever mentioning the change in plan). Cysts were not removed. Same status after appointment as before. When menting this, I got referred to a different doctor to have them removed and a $279 bill after insurance for original appt. No telling what the new doctors charge will be to actually do the procedure. Zero problem with the cost if the procedure was actually done, but it was not. Staff is fully aware and refuses to do anything about the $279 bill for kicking the can down the road to another doctor.

The registration process was simple, you fill out relevant information in an online form and it is stored in a portal account. It's very convenient to not have to print a bunch of things or fill them out when you get to your appointment. I arrived about 20 minutes early, the woman at reception walked me through their financial policies and the signatures were all digital. Afterward, I received a packet with the information I had filled out online in order to double-check for accuracy, as well as a sheet of concerns you would like to address during the visit. I was called into the room at roughly the exact appointment time. After vitals are taken I waited for the nurse for about 30 minutes, for which she apologized. She listened to my thoughts and concerns but was slightly insensitive for reasons unbeknownst to me. I feel she did not expect me to be interested in hearing about her observations of my own body but because I was (and I urge you all to be), she was a little weirded out (???). She also used insensitive language when referring to my body, whether knowingly or not, that annoyed me. The exam was simple and informative (because I asked). Overall, the staff was friendly and the visit was informative. If you are having concerns about finding a new OBGYN or it's your first visit, consider Alliance, but be firm in your expectations.

I accidentally put a steak knife through my thumb and knew I needed urgent, but not emergent, care. I held firm pressure on the cut and drove myself the 19 miles to IEP. From the moment I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. Lucky for me, there was no one waiting. That NEVER happens, especially to me! But Heather checked me in and made me feel so much better about my situation. There was a sign stating that there was only one practitioner working that day, but truly, I was seen in no time, by Ainsleigh, PA extraordinaire!!! She made me feel at ease, as I had never had stitches before. Before long, I was out the door with four stitches and an updated tetanus shot, happy as a clam that I had chosen to come to IEP. If you need an Urgent Care Center, and you are are an understanding person who respects what these lovely people are trying to do for you, even if you have to wait, please give this place a try.

I…read morewas called into the exam room within ten minutes and my total visit was less than 45 minutes from walking into the building until I opened the door to my vehicle. From the receptionist to the nice lady who gave me my "walking papers", everyone I met there was personable, cheerful and efficient. Kevin, the Medical Assistant didn't just ask questions and enter data like so many medical professionals these days. He actually allowed himself to be engaged in some conversation with me. That's a nice touch. Dr. Sina was warm and friendly during his examination and thoroughly explained everything that he was doing. My rib soreness actually was eased by his artful manipulations. I apologize for not remembering the receptionist and check-out lady's names but they were also out-of-the-norm staffers that I have not normally encountered in urgent care facilities on a Sunday morning. Sparrow is doing something right in their training methods and I'll be sure to mention my experience to others.

I was so busy that I did not have time to do this and paid the whole bill, then forget about it. They sent me 2 separate bills, which was a bit confusing to me, but I paid both. About a year later, Sparrow contacted me and asked to file a claim for me, which I thought was really nice of them. After my insurance went through, they sent me another bill, claiming that they never charged me for it, so I ended up having to pay even more! I graduated and moved home that year, and I thought since I already paid them, I did not keep the bills that I got previously, so I don't remember what was on the 2 bills that I got right after the visit. However, I believed I was double charged because it is weird enough for them to bill me after a year, but it is even weirder for me to have to pay more after my insurance paid for part of it. I'm glad I'm home and don't have to come here ever again.
