I went with the Cuban since I've heard it's a staple, and for my first time trying one, it was a solid introduction to the sandwich. Everything came together well. Lucky for me, I'll be calling Tampa home soon, so I'll be back to try more of their sandwiches. One area has fresh vegetables and prepackaged dinners, another features spices tucked into a small alcove, while another is filled with wine and cheese. Then there's the main room, which houses a coffee bar, bakery and dessert counters, grocery items, a meat counter, and the deli where you can order made-to-order sandwiches and other freshly prepared foods. Everywhere you turn, there's something new and amazing to discover. This visit, I ordered the Hot Italian sub, and it was outstanding -- huge, flavorful, and packed with delicious ingredients. Every bite was fantastic. And yes, I happily ate the entire thing fresh while sitting outside on the covered patio. If you still have time before they close -- their hours are somewhat limited and closed on Sundays -- be sure to check out the kitchen store and gelato shop next door as well.
