"I think it was f***ing good" - my boyfriends words! We were only in Tampa for a night but found this whole in the wall and our expectations were exceeded greatly! The coffee is amazing. We can appreciate the hustle of the workers--so busy yet so friendly and efficient! Will come back given the chance.

What a dump this place is, old with very little on the shelves. But it's always the dumps where you find a nice surprise. The surprise here is how good the Cuban sandwiches are, places that sell Cuban sandwiches in Tampa are plentiful so I can afford to be picky, the sandwiches here are tasty and worth getting. So don't be afraid to walk in here .

You have to try the hummingbird and princess cakes!! I finally had the chance to cater from wrights and was beyond impressed. I only needed a few things to add to what was already planned and went with a veggie tray and a couple cakes. The veggie tray is a fresh, plentiful and unique selection with a stand out homemade dill dip for serving. The alpine cakes were also a huge hit! Service for lunch is always fairly quick and with the recent renovation, the seating area is nice. The service for catering is helpful and quick. I had all my questions answered and suggestions were given based on my needs which were spot on.

He enjoyed his sandwich and slice of coconut cake. We did have a long wait in line and he took a seat while I waited. Table service and full menu option while seated would be a wonderful addition for Wright's. My dad can't stand up for long periods of time anymore. He's be a good candidate for a meal with table service if it was offered. I was more than willing and happy to wait to for our sandwiches. However, I know our time is limited and every minute with him counts. I enjoyed our meal and look forward to bringing him back sometime soon. Note: the ice machines were out of ice and needed to be refilled. He didn't seem to mind but it would have been nice to enjoy a soda with ice.

You walk in and it's like a transformed gas station into kind of a deli, kind of a convenience store, and kind of a restaurant. Super duper weird. The menu has a ton of stuff on it. I was feeling like getting some food from my people so thought I'd try this German spot. Up first was the #3 Reuben for $13.95. I love me a good Reuben. However, this is not the place to get a Reuben. Super thin, barely any meat or flavor. It is mostly eating bread. Avoid. Up next, I can't remember what the other sandwich was, but it was bad. I think it was a Cuban, but not sure. It was straight bread. Take a look at the pic. Now, the only above average food item I tried was the German potato salad. I would come back here only for that. Tons of German beers here and souvenirs.

The cutlets were crispy, the sauces were rich and flavorful, and everything tasted fresh. The portions were pretty normal, but still satisfying. The main thing to know is that you may have to wait a bit, especially when they're busy. That said, the food was worth it. I typically order the chicken salad…read moreor a sandwich, and I also place large catering orders for my customers because they genuinely enjoy the food. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I won't be returning. I stopped in around 3:00 p.m. and was happy to see it wasn't busy. I went to the deli counter, waited for someone to serve me, ordered my chicken salad, grabbed a soda and chips, and headed to the open register. As I walked up, the cashier called another customer over ahead of me. I waited while he spent several minutes deciding whether to pay cash or by card because of the 4% card fee. I continued standing there with my three items, to the point that I actually set them down and debated walking out. Then, instead of helping me, the cashier motioned for an entire family to come to the registereven though I had been standing there waiting before they arrived. After that, she waved over another customer, and I had to wait while a mother and her two teenagers decided which desserts they wanted. Again, I stood there patiently. When it was finally my turn, there was no greeting, no "thank you for waiting," nothing. The first thing I was asked was, "Do you have a pickup order?" I said no. She then motioned for my chicken salad container, saying she needed it. I placed it on the scale and set my other items on the counter. The cashier then asked, "Are you okay?" I simply shook my head because, honestly, I wasn't. Instead of recognizing why I was frustrated, she continued talking, making comments, and escalating the interaction rather than simply ringing me up. At that point, I asked, "Do you want to argue? Do you want me to go back and forth with you?" I then asked who the manager was. She pointed to a woman beside her, who identified herself as the owner. I asked if she could ring me up instead. Even then, the cashier continued making comments. It was only after she continued engaging me that my voice became louder in response. Rather than addressing the repeated comments from her employee or asking what had happened, the owner immediately said, "Do not raise your voice at my employee." That response was disappointing. There was no concern for the customer experience, no apology for repeatedly being skipped in line, and no attempt to resolve the situation. There was also no acknowledgment that the interaction had been escalated by the cashier's continued remarks before I ever raised my voice. The irony is that I have spent a significant amount of money catering from Frankie's Deli over the years because my customers love the food. Good food will bring people in once. Great customer service keeps them coming back. Sadly, this experience ended that relationship for me. There are plenty of places with great food, but respect and customer service matter just as much. One final thought: this is Florida not NY. Hospitality goes a long way. The aggressive, dismissive attitude I experienced isn't what I expect when supporting a local business. I won't be back.
