Had a nice meal at Lanna Thai, a cozy space in St. Paul! Service was attentive, and the food was delicious. Next time I'll opt to add a protein to the spring rolls (instead of only veggie). The tom kha soup was perfect for a fall day!

We went there on Friday during peak dinner time, and it was very packed. They don't have a lot of seatings in general, but they let us sit in the bar area. We waited around 10-15 mins to get our food, so it wasn't terrible given how busy they were. We got the Panang Curry with tofu and Homok Talay. Panang Curry was very good but the ratio between soup and vegetables was not even. It was way too much soup for so little veggies and tofu, but the soup is a good mixture of coconut and red curry. I have never had Homok Talay before, but it's supposed to be steamed salmon with shrimp and squid. We didn't see any piece of salmon at all, and it's basically shrimp, squid and mussels. It's still very good, but I just don't know if it's a typo on the menu or they just changed it. The owner was very social and service is good! It's a small restaurant overall, and I'd recommend if you want to dine it at somewhere lowkey and causal.

Not bad. Looks like Thai owners. Had the salmon curry. Papaya salad. Red curry. Drunk-in noodles. All were good. All tested like they should. FYI, the papaya had small crabs. Nice decor. Great service. I did notice that to get the larger plate, you need to order 2 proteins. Odd. Back home, everything come in the big plate. Highly recommended

I was scanning my Ubereats app looking for specials. Then I came across this BOGO Thai Fried Rice offer, one of my favorite to eat. And this dish didn't disappoint at all. It was very tasty and three spicy, just the way I love. I will order this again and try a few new dishes. Thanks Ubereats for being on time to deliver.

I stumbled upon this super cute, quaint little restaurant while working nearby. Upon entering I was greeted warmly and let to a small table. The bright, fun decor makes the restaurant feel lively, despite the size. From the umbrellas hanging from the ceiling to the colorful tablecloths, this place is adorbs. After glancing over both the lunch and dinner menus, I decided on pad basil stir fry with shrimp and a Thai tea. The lunch menu also includes an app, I chose the chicken egg roll. I was super excited to see kao soi on the menu, it's my favorite Thai dish. Looking forward to coming back for it. My meal was good, but the entree only had 3 small shrimp and was mostly peppers and onions. I ordered it a level 3 spicy and it was very mild. I requested chili oil to spice it up. The egg roll was homemade and VERY GOOD. The server was attentive, he was training a young lady and spoke very kindly to her and was very patient. Pack your patience, the service is painfully slow. I'd definitely visit again, and try a chicken entree or the pad Thai. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit.

The atmosphere is amazing, it feels super cozy. The music is so peaceful and perfect loudness. The food is so yummy and they are quick! Highly recommend!

With two locations that are both consistently amazing, I've never had a single subpar experience. The restaurants are clean, simple and have great service. One thing I really appreciate is how clearly they label gluten-free and vegetarian options. The menu is packed with choices for different dietary restrictions. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted and full of bold, authentic flavor. My go-to favorites are the pad thai, green curry, drunken noodles, Thai fried rice, yellow curry, and the spring rolls, they truly never miss. If you're new to Thai food, you can't go wrong starting with the pad thai and fried rice. If you like a little spice and depth of flavor, definitely add a curry to the mix. The portions are generous (perfect for sharing), and everything is consistently fresh and delicious. I can't recommend Coconut Thai enough!

I got veggie pad thai and chicken green curry. Both medium spice. Definitely "Minnesota medium spice". The flavors of both dishes were a bit bland, like the flavoring was muted or diluted too much. The place was lively and welcoming, with thriving plants by the big windows. Everyone working was nice even as they were swamped with takeout and online orders in addition to the place being packed with diners. The food at Thai Basil was delicious. The fried appetizers were crunchy and flavorful, and the main dishes were filling. Portions were generous on most dishes, so we had leftovers to look forward to. The restaurant was quite busy by 7 PM, but the wait for a table wasn't long at all. The menu was limited, but the majority featured traditional Thai dishes. The pad thai and kao mun gai tauat were also hits at the table! Overall grea place for authentic thai food!

I've ordered from On's dozens of times and they honestly deserved this review a lot sooner…read more Everything I've ever eaten from On's is authentic, delicious and bursting with flavor. I've tried numerous menu items, including their Laab, Pad-ga-pow, mango salad, pineapple curry, pad Thai and Prik Prik Moo Grop. There's another dish I've tried there that seems it's no longer on their menu but it was a curry seafood dish served in an actual coconut. It was amazing! My favorites so far are the mango salad and pad Thai. The #70 Moo Grop dish is a close one for top picks but my only complaint is the pork chunks weren't my preferred texture. The sauce, however, is a show stealer. I could literally drink it! It's that good. I've personally never had a negative eating experience with Ons but my husband did complain to me about their pineapple curry. He orders his food at the spiciest level, and I only ever tried a bite of his, but he thought it was very sour and tasted pickely. It was not the best curry I've had but I didn't think it was bad. I'm a seasoned Thai food eater - it's basically all I eat. So I've tried all of the Thai spots in the twin cities. On's is sitting in my top two. I've never eaten inside the restaurant so I can't say much for the service, but I have been in the restaurant to pick up orders and there isn't much to say for its ambiance. It's a very casual setting. My only complaint about Ons is that they serve their curry in shallow containers which makes for smaller portions. If they served their curry in soup containers and gave larger portions, they'd be my go-to spot every time. Right now, my other favorite Thai spot has them beat on curry portions. But that doesn't stop me from coming back for other menu items.

When I drove by, I wasn't sure if they were open because it was so dark inside and we didn't see an open sign. I tried the spring rolls, pad see ew and the order of the wontons. I absolutely LOVED the spring rolls. They tasted fresh, and I enjoyed the basil in them. When I come back this is a must for me. The wontons were good and spiced well, but not my favorite out there. The main dish, pad see ew, got a lot of compliments so we went with that dish. I really enjoyed that as well - flavors of basil and ginger paired well with the thick noodles and veggies. I added chicken for $2 and I thought there was a generous potion of protein added for that amount. Was enough for me and my partner to share and had some leftover. Overall, great experience and we will be back.

We went there before they closed down for renovation…read more Stuffed tofu is definitely my favorite item out of everything on their menu. It was crisp and vegetables inside felt fresh. The sauce that came with it is also a perfect pairing to the dish. The 4 pieces really fill you up so definitely good for its price. Portions are definitely good at this restaurant and you can easily find street parking in the neighborhood behind. Mohinga was okay. It was behind the first two times I came here. The fish cake in Mohinga was tasty as well as the fried peas. The boat noodle has very rich flavor. Broth was good and they gave generous amount of bean sprouts. La Phat Ye was good. They normally don't offer iced but we asked them to change. Overall, it's a great restaurant with decent prices and we hope that we can get back into business ASAP.

In terms of food, there is a mixture of Burmese, Thai, and Karen dishes, and each one that my friends and I have ordered has been a hit. The tea leaf salad has amazing texture because of peanuts and fried garlic, which provide crunchiness, and has amazing flavor because of lemon juice, fish sauce, and tomatoes. The noodle salad has a light taste without adding the given lime piece, and then the rich nutty taste gets evoked and elevated upon adding lime juice. The zaap crispy has very well-seasoned fried chicken pieces, and medium spice level gives it a good amount of flavor. The shan khao soi is so creamy and tasty that even tasting the curry broth itself is a sensational experience, and the chicken leg included literally has "fall off the bone" meat. The boat noodle has a mixture of sweetness and savor, while the sweet flavor does not overpower anything at all. Finally, the mohinga clearly has fish cake flavor and texture fully infused, making it authentically delicious. We also ordered the knyaw iced salad, which was a mixture of ice along with crackers and other types of sweet ingredients. I thought it was very similar to a type of Vietnamese dessert called chè ba màu (three color pudding), and fully enjoyed it. The establishment only had one dessert, and I thought that was sufficient. While the street contains many excellent restaurants, I personally believe that this establishment stands out in terms of taste. I must also mention that since my friends and I arrived when barely anyone else was there each time we had gone there, we never experienced any service delays that some have mentioned in their reviews. I probably will give this place a 5 rating anyway even if I experience slowness, although I hope I don't.
