While it has moved from its previous Top 50 ranking, the food remains a great experience. The brisket was deliciously smoked, though I found the bark to be a little too salty for my taste. Despite that, the meat itself was fantastic. The ribs were hearty and very tender, and the pork belly had a nice flavor, but was a little on the dry side. The pork belly burnt ends were a unique treat. They were covered in a spicy barbecue sauce, which was a pleasant surprise since I usually prefer a fruity base like peach or apricot. The absolute standout was the sausage. It was a perfectly cooked, double-grind sausage with a delicious chili relleno taste. It was cheesy and had an excellent flavor that made it one of my favorite sausage offerings to date. For the sides, the carrot soufflé was a highlight. It was delicious with a smooth texture and only a hint of carrot, making it an excellent and unique side. To top it all off, there's a chocolate shoppe attached to the restaurant, so a chocolate dessert is an absolute must after your meal. I highly recommend this quaint restaurant for a truly enjoyable barbecue experience.

LIFE. CHANGING. BREAD. PUDDING. No exaggeration - this…read moredessert deserves its own fan club. That creamy, dreamy sauce it soaked up? Absolute perfection. I almost didn't share... almost. Pulled up during the lunch rush (hello, popularity!) but got seated right away . Service? So sweet and speedy you'd think we were VIPs. Yes, it's a cozy little spot (read: it gets loud when packed), but honestly? That just adds to the charm. The menu is simple -- soups, salads, sammies -- but don't let that fool you. They know what they're doing. Finally made it to this buzzed-about place and yup -- the hype is real. 10/10 would go back... if only for that bread pudding again. #BreadPuddingObsessed #WorthTheHype #LocalEats #FoodieHeaven #LunchGoals #CozyCafeVibes

Thought I was getting a different quiche, but didn't want to make a fuss at the wedding shower party and send it back, so I ate what was served to me. Others in the party got sandwiches and salads. I did enjoy the broccoli salad and the green salad that came with my quiche. The atmosphere is like a tea party. And don't forget to get a dessert. They all look wonderful. I got the Italian cream cake for my husband and I got the chocolate cake for me, both to go. The cakes were slightly dry, but I think if u nuke them for 20 sec they would be better. I am going to try the cobbler and brownie next time I go. They looked great. By the way, we went at 11am and there was no wait. We did reserve a table for 9 several days ahead. Think later in the day you might have to wait for a table. The place is popular. I posted a picture of the chandelier in the back room. It looks like ones I have seen in the Murano glass factory in Venice. Fancy!

Ricky is such a gracious host! The tables had been covered in newspaper and, when it hit 6 pm sharp, he spread out the freshly cooked crawfish, potatoes, and corn in front of us and told us to dig in! As we ate, Ricky and Beth (along with the CARES team for the apartments -- shout out to Rachel and Zach!) walked around to make sure everyone had waters to drink, clean napkins, and also helped clear away the crawfish already devoured. Check out my photos to see how LARGE these suckers were! Everyone was able to get huge chucks of meat from the tails and claws before moving on to the next bug. Our table even had some crawfish eatin' pros sucking out the heads and nodding approval to the rest of us not as brave :p I thought everything was seasoned perfectly (I can't handle most spicy items- these had a nice kick!) but there were those around me wishing their portions were spicier. This was a family event, though, and it was nice the kids were able to enjoy it, too, since it was on the mild side. Robichaux's Place is new to town and I say definitely worth snagging for your next event - He does more than crawfish, too!
