Throughout the planning process, Lionel was always quick in responding to questions and helpful in guiding me to a rental company for a beautiful dinner table set up of fine china, crystal glasses and sterling silverware. His menu options were perfect for my husband who can be a very picky eater. My husband and I are big foodies and have been to most of the top restaurants in Houston, Lionel's cooking was as good if not better than the best in town. Every course was absolutely delicious! The mussels were perfectly cooked, the caprese salad couldn't have been any better and everyone's filets were cooked spot on. He made a carrot purée that we have been talking about for days! On top of the amazing food, Lionel himself was as personable and friendly as he could be in addition to being extremely knowledgeable about the food he was serving. Each course came with an explanation of the ingredients and where they were from. I hope to have Lionel back in my home again soon and will be recommending him to everyone I know in the Houston area. I've only had one other private dining party and Lionel's food was wayyyy better than that. Thank you, Lionel!

Chef Lionel brought that night and meal to us. First and foremost, him and his team followed all the safety guidelines and were masked the whole time. The food was EXCELLENT. From the very start of having light appetizers, refreshing salad, to fresh fish, Filet Mignon to the Lobster tail..........Chef Lionel ended this with a scrumptious dessert....Banana Fosters Creme Brulee! Everyone enjoyed the meal..................still two weeks later we are all talking about how good it was! Thanks Chef Lionel!

I didn't want to just take them out to dinner -- I wanted them to feel celebrated, appreciated, and completely pampered at home. Chef Kane with Taste of the Sophisticated (TOTS) brought that vision to life with elegance and soul. From the moment she arrived, Chef Kane was completely locked in. You could see the passion in her eyes and the confidence in every step she took in our kitchen. She worked with a quiet intensity and grace, and watching her create was like watching an artist in her element. Every dish that came out was more than food -- it was a moment. The evening started with Truffle Macaroni Bites, perfectly crisp and paired with roasted tomato-garlic coulis and truffle aioli -- a rich and flavorful opener. The French Onion Soup, topped with golden gruyère and comté over toasted brioche croutons, was the best I've ever had -- bold, warming, and luxurious. Then came the Chicken Velouté, a velvety, refined dish with crème fraîche, fresh tarragon, and smoked sea salt. The Truffle Caesar Salad was a sophisticated take on a classic -- pancetta and parmesan crisps added the perfect punch. The main courses were stunning: Baked Salmon with citrus beurre blanc, roasted heirloom carrots, and fingerling potatoes -- light, bright, and beautifully balanced. Spinach-Stuffed Chicken in white wine garlic sauce with truffle mashed potatoes and wild mushrooms -- rich, earthy, and comforting. And the crown jewel: an 8 oz Filet Mignon, flawlessly cooked, served with creamy truffle butter, roasted Brussels sprouts, and silky mashed potatoes. Dessert was a celebration in itself: A Molten Lava Cake made with Valrhona dark chocolate and topped with 24K gold leaf -- decadent and unforgettable. And a delicate Madagascar Vanilla Bean Cupcake with strawberry coulis -- light, fragrant, and a perfect final note. What struck me most was not just the exceptional food -- it was how Chef Kane made every woman at that table feel seen and celebrated. Her presence, care, and artistry elevated the night far beyond any restaurant or typical catering experience. If you're looking to turn a meaningful occasion into a luxurious and heartfelt experience, Chef Kane and TOTS are who you need. I can't thank her enough for making this Mother's Day unforgettable.

We've been coming here as a family for a while, so trust me when I say the food is ALWAYS amazing--but when they catered my son's high school graduation party?? They did NOT come to play. The food? Soul-healing, plate-licking... They handled everything flawlessly, and the setup matched the restaurant's elegant vibe . It felt upscale, warm, and just... special. Our guests are STILL texting about the food and asking, "Wait... where was that from again?" So yes, it's a hidden gem ... but honestly, they deserve all the shine! Thank you!

I really wanted to love this place after seeing so many great reviews on TikTok and elsewhere, but…read moreunfortunately, it just wasn't for us. We had an 11:15 reservation for two, but the restaurant was pretty empty, so we honestly didn't feel the reservation was necessary. The atmosphere had an older vibe but was clean and pleasant, and parking was easy. The food was a mixed experience. I ordered the chicken and French toast, which came with 4 pieces of French toast and 4 wings. The chicken was nicely seasoned and the wings were a good size, but the French toast was burnt, made with sliced bread, and had an overpowering cinnamon flavor that I couldn't finish. My sister ordered the breakfast special with eggs, bacon and grits. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and cooked perfectly, and the bacon was good. The grits, however, were extremely heavily seasoned. For a basic side of grits, it was simply too much. We also ordered one pancake, and I was surprised to find that the only pancake option is their lemon blueberry ricotta pancake. I don't understand why there isn't a basic pancake batter available. What if you don't like lemon? What if pancakes are the reason you came? Being limited to a lemon-flavored pancake seems like an odd choice for a brunch restaurant. We were also excited about the complimentary champagne, but unfortunately it wasn't cold, and neither was the juice. We weren't offered ice until we asked. Our server was also very difficult to hear, so we missed a lot of what she was saying. She may have been new or nervous, so I don't want to be overly critical, but speaking up and making sure guests know about specials and menu options would improve the experience. Overall, it wasn't one single issue but it was everything together. We genuinely tried to enjoy ourselves, but we were ready to leave and didn't finish our food. I'm glad we tried it, but personally, I wouldn't return. These are just our opinions and our experience, and I know everyone's taste is different.
