Both my mother and I ended up working with her. Amy is so gifted, that even though I live in California, she is by far my favorite practitioner to work with. When possible, I will wait to see her, rather than see someone where I live. She has helped me with an array of issues over the years, physical pain, emotional pain, physical alignment issues, concussions, and general imbalance. Every time I see her, I feel so much better. I truly think she is a miracle worker, and everyone I've referred to her, has expressed a similar thought. I know I've said this to her many times, but I truly believe that people who have the opportunity to see her, are not only healing themselves, but helping to curb off future disease. AND she is such a joy to get to be with.

My little one saw Erin Gonzalez here for speech therapy for six months. Three-four stars for the…read moretherapy content and one for the billing nonsense at the end. Erin is very sweet with children and kiddo enjoyed the speech therapy. She had a few tips that stuck and my little one's enunciation - which wasn't horrible, but was a bit behind peers - did improve during that time. At the end of six months, based on feedback from kiddo's teacher and some other educational figures, as well as my /grandparents/coparent's perception of moderate improvement, we decided to close out the therapy sessions. Erin looked a bit disappointed when I told her the final date, but was professional enough. She insisted that she would "re-assess" progress during that day's session, instead of going over the usual consonant sounds. She sold it a bit - kept talking about it - and I agreed, thinking it was harmless enough to have a written record of progress. The initial assessment at our first visit had been priced the same as the ensuing therapy sessions, so I wasn't worried about pricing. Erin went over her "re-assessment" of kiddo upon our return. My initial perception was that she showed the need for speech therapy as more extreme than assessed at our first visit. There was a minimal nod in one segment to minor progress. There were multiple areas where the report seemed to show regression. It was a bit alarming and my first thought was that she was far less happy about our quitting than she had expressed. Thinking I might not remember the initial assessment accurately, I compared the two reports when I arrived home. My initial instinct was correct. The second surprise arrived a month or two later. A bill (despite our having paid the usual co-pay at the visit) for THREE TIMES the co-pay. Almost $200. Because Tesoros had billed insurance differently, this "re-assessment" had been assessed differently in connection with our deductible and the insurance wouldn't pay. Calls to Tesoros (it took a week of daily calls to get a person on the line) resulted in a circular explanation of how they bill re-assessments. They couldn't explain why it would *need* to be done on a child's next-to-last visit, or why it was billed at a higher rate and filed with insurance differently than the initial assessment. After months of going back and forth with them, I've reported them to my insurance company's fraud team, paid the bill to avoid a credit report ding, and am reviewing them here. It's left us with a very sour impression of what was, otherwise, quite a harmless and neutral experience.

The program is run at the highest level of organization, care, and therapeutic expertise. Every team member we met was so warm and welcoming. By the end of the three weeks, we had built such meaningful connections with both the staff and other families in the program. My husband and I have seen amazing growth in our daughter, both in her physical abilities and in a new level of confidence she didn't have before. Her occupational therapist, Savannah, was incredible. She and Rachel, her other OT, made such a lasting impact. Our daughter's face lit up every time she saw them, and their energy and kindness kept her motivated and joyful throughout every session. Her physical therapist, Rachel, was just as amazing. We were in awe watching all of the creative and dynamic movement exercises she designed. Each session was perfectly challenging and helped our little girl succeed. A big shout out as well to her speech therapist, Madelyn, who brought so much positivity and encouragement every day. Thank you, NAPA, and all of your amazing therapists, for welcoming our daughter and our family with open arms and warm hearts. We are so grateful and we can't wait to come back!

Every-time I asked to speak to the doctor or for help I was turned down. Patients have the right to be free of pain or have less pain as well as be treated with compassion. I am still impacted negatively from my treatment received at your facility. I hope you have done some improvements since my hellish stay. The one nurse who told me I quote " if you keep crying I won't come back into your room" should have been fired for her lack of compassion. I hope your staff takes a urine bag connected to my bladder being stepped on and left on the floor without cleaning seriously two years later. When Gabi first evaluated my son, she made several assumptions about his behavior in certain situations, and she actually nailed nearly every one of them. I think there were maybe 2, out of several, that she wasn't right on. I had to fill out extensive paperwork about my son and our family history and she clearly read the entire thing thoroughly before the eval. Her insight is uncanny. She evaluated him again a few months ago when my son's doctor recommended we add PT to his regimen. Again, her insight was astounding. He had been having some very specific, mysterious behavioral issues at school that I won't get into here that were confounding his teachers and frustrating me. At the evaluation Gabi had a theory as to what was behind the behaviors and some practical suggestions for both me and his teachers which I passed on to them and they followed. The behaviors cleared up in less than 2 weeks and resolved themselves permanently. I haven't even gotten to the actual therapy yet. He was diagnosed with a general developmental delay, hypotonia, and general speech delays. We noticed positive changes in our son almost immediately after beginning the therapies. His therapists have always been available for conferences when we ask to check on his progress and are very specific on what's going on. I've never felt that anyone is vague or dodging questions. The environment is very clean, happy, and professional, and I also feel their billing department is very clear on charges. They've been incredibly helpful in dealing with insurance changes and other related issues. My husband came with me to some of his first sessions and met Gabi and his OT. When we left, the first thing he said was, Those ladies are amazing. I can't recommend CTOA highly enough.
