My voice was raspy and inconsistent and it often felt like an effort just to speak. Not a voice that one wants as a teacher. My ENT referred me to Lisa Famiglietti. After 3 weeks of 30-minute sessions twice a week and another three weeks meeting once a week, (a total of 9 sessions) my voice is now better than it has been in years. I cannot speak too highly of her. She gave me back my voice. I recommend doing the sessions over Thera, which is like Zoom. You save time and gas money. The remote sessions worked perfectly for me. Lisa Famiglietti was my therapist and she is the best of the best. At the time I was working with her, I was a music teacher and my voice improved and I was able to sing with more ease with my church music team. I have since changed careers and am not singing anymore, but now that I am close to finishing a PhD, I have time and the bandwidth to start doing my speech therapy exercises again.
