She made sure that we had the info we needed to work with him at home, and worked with his teacher so that he could get additional support in his classroom. She always went above and beyond, and was such an amazing support and resource for us during some challenging times and transitions. My son formed a genuine bond with her, and he actually teared up when he "graduated"! You can really tell she cares about the kids she helps! She is so knowledgeable and warm - it is rare to find someone who is experienced, excellent at what they do, and still can make your kid laugh and enjoy the session! She helped build my sons confidence and we are so grateful to her for all her care and consideration! She is AMAZING!!

I was told they only go to B.I. and ABC. However, in speaking to the director of my daughter's aba, they do in fact have a therapist that goes to our ABA from River Kids. I was very disappointed as they offer both ST and OT and we are in need of both.

My daughter is a young mother but the disrespect lately is totally uncalled for. She is also discussing my granddaughters services with the director of the center! They need a HIPPA and positive communication training with staff. The only time she had to cancel services was due to her child having the flu and her running late 10 minutes due to car issues. Below you will find a text message to my daughter. Today my daughter was only taking her to preschool for her speech and she receives this text message from her at 1:28pm. Apparently she had already spoken with the director of the school and told she was absent. All communication should start with my daughter first.

She made us feel right at home and her knowledge made me trust her right away. She listened to and validated my concerns (invaluable to a new first time mom in the throes of the newborn period with a colicky infant and breastfeeding issues) as well as gave me tools to help me meet my breastfeeding goals and my baby's needs. I can tell she genuinely cares. We live in Leander and it was definitely worth the drive to see her.

Speak Freely is a wonderful children's therapy center which includes two different areas of focus:…read morespeech therapy (Speak Freely), and occupational therapy (KidSensations.) Heidi, our speech therapist, and Chris, our O.T., have done wonders with our little guy. We have not only seen great progress with our son ever since he's been going there (over 6 months), but he truly loves going to "play" with his therapists. We can only imagine the progress we will see in the next 6 months! They also accept most insurance, so the billing process has been extremely easy. All in all, a great center run by wonderful people.

After having an evaluation at kidventures, the OT took the time to explain Sensory processing disorder and she gave me lots of resources that my husband and I could implement at home. My son loves going to "play" there and he talks about the "big gym" all the time! His OT did a school visit and kept in contact with his teacher to help her understand his behaviors and sensory needs. It's amazing that he can sit still through circle time now and is much better at following directions. He is even more coordinated and able to keep up with his friends during sports activities. The best part has been that his confidence has grown and we are so grateful for the services here.

Attending therapy services at Kidventures has been a game-changer for our family. I had been at…read moreanother therapy center for several months, with no noticable improvements in my daughter. I was starting to doubt the value of occupational therapy when someone referred me to Kidventures. From the initial evaluation, I could tell that they GOT my daughter. They REALLY SAW HER, so the plan that was developed was specific to her needs/goals. They knew what/when/how to tackle the issues to help her develop. I was included every step of the way and encouraged to participate. I received valuable feedback after every session and was given suggestions for things I could do at home to further help. My daughter is now a different little girl-she's mastered so many skills and continues to amaze me with her progress! Her physical abilities, as well as the ease with which we now move though our lives (those difficult transitions are sooo much easier!) make for happier days immediately and long term hope for a bright future. I can't thank Jen, Angie and the staff at Kidventures enough. If you are a fellow parent of a child with special needs, I know you want to trust your child to capable AND caring hands. That's what you'll find at Kidventures!

In November, I had a procedure to remove papillomas (warts) from my vocal cords. A month later the…read morecords looked okay, but my voice quality was not good. My voice was raspy and inconsistent and it often felt like an effort just to speak. Not a voice that one wants as a teacher. My ENT referred me to Lisa Famiglietti. After 3 weeks of 30-minute sessions twice a week and another three weeks meeting once a week, (a total of 9 sessions) my voice is now better than it has been in years. I cannot speak too highly of her. She gave me back my voice. I recommend doing the sessions over Thera, which is like Zoom. You save time and gas money. The remote sessions worked perfectly for me. Once again, if you are unhappy with your voice quality, I highly recommend Lisa Famiglietti.

Lisa Famiglietti was my therapist and she is the best of the best. At the time I was working with her, I was a music teacher and my voice improved and I was able to sing with more ease with my church music team. I have since changed careers and am not singing anymore, but now that I am close to finishing a PhD, I have time and the bandwidth to start doing my speech therapy exercises again. I am glad I recorded all of my sessions with her three years ago. Lo and behold, my singing voice is coming back again. It feels good to sing again and feel resonance in my face and body again. I don't know why her therapy exercises work, but they do! Thank you for helping me to get my joy back Dr. Famiglietti!

My little one saw Erin Gonzalez here for speech therapy for six months. Three-four stars for the…read moretherapy content and one for the billing nonsense at the end. Erin is very sweet with children and kiddo enjoyed the speech therapy. She had a few tips that stuck and my little one's enunciation - which wasn't horrible, but was a bit behind peers - did improve during that time. At the end of six months, based on feedback from kiddo's teacher and some other educational figures, as well as my /grandparents/coparent's perception of moderate improvement, we decided to close out the therapy sessions. Erin looked a bit disappointed when I told her the final date, but was professional enough. She insisted that she would "re-assess" progress during that day's session, instead of going over the usual consonant sounds. She sold it a bit - kept talking about it - and I agreed, thinking it was harmless enough to have a written record of progress. The initial assessment at our first visit had been priced the same as the ensuing therapy sessions, so I wasn't worried about pricing. Erin went over her "re-assessment" of kiddo upon our return. My initial perception was that she showed the need for speech therapy as more extreme than assessed at our first visit. There was a minimal nod in one segment to minor progress. There were multiple areas where the report seemed to show regression. It was a bit alarming and my first thought was that she was far less happy about our quitting than she had expressed. Thinking I might not remember the initial assessment accurately, I compared the two reports when I arrived home. My initial instinct was correct. The second surprise arrived a month or two later. A bill (despite our having paid the usual co-pay at the visit) for THREE TIMES the co-pay. Almost $200. Because Tesoros had billed insurance differently, this "re-assessment" had been assessed differently in connection with our deductible and the insurance wouldn't pay. Calls to Tesoros (it took a week of daily calls to get a person on the line) resulted in a circular explanation of how they bill re-assessments. They couldn't explain why it would *need* to be done on a child's next-to-last visit, or why it was billed at a higher rate and filed with insurance differently than the initial assessment. After months of going back and forth with them, I've reported them to my insurance company's fraud team, paid the bill to avoid a credit report ding, and am reviewing them here. It's left us with a very sour impression of what was, otherwise, quite a harmless and neutral experience.

Kristi has without a doubt been the most positively impactful pediatric professional we've had the…read morepleasure of working with - both for our little one's growth and also for helping us as new parents feel more equipped for the journey. We initially started working with her when our little one had feeding issues at about two months old, and found her so knowledgeable that we've continued working with her as our little one has grown. Among all the professionals we've worked with, she stood out because she not only had the expertise, but really took the time to get to know our little one and talk to us about HER phase of growth and development, really helping us understand and build confidence in how she was doing and how we could help her. She was always able to talk us through the unknowns, had excellent recommendations and referrals for other professionals when we were delving into areas that weren't her expertise, and was never pushy for her services. She's absolutely the #1 person we trust when we have questions or concerns about our little one's development and growth, and we found a similar level of care and excellence from the other PTs we've worked with at her practice. She's been the best guide for the development of our little one and we're very excited to continue working with her. Absolutely couldn't recommend her or her practice more!
