Tornado potato (cajun and garlic parmesan) and chicken tenders
    Megan S.

Waited over an HOUR in line for this food truck because I was so determined to try these tornado potatoes. First time trying tornado potatoes and it did not disappoint! They were light and crispy on the outside and soft/fluffy on the inside. Both versions we got (cajun and garlic parmesan) were absolutely delicious, although that might be because we were starving by the time we got them. I think they could have used little more seasoning as only about 1/2 or 1/3 of the surface was covered with the seasoning. The chicken tenders were a little disappointing and certainly did not live up to the picture on the menu. As you can see in the photo they are only drizzled in the sauce and not fully coated as I would expect, and they are pretty small pieces of chicken. The coating is very interesting and not typical chicken tender breading. Overall this place was so tasty! The service was very fast (after ordering) and great quality of food. I would say probably not worth the wait at this particular event, but still a great place to try once (at least)!

Are you a fan of Food Trucks? Do you like Spicy Ahi Tuna rolls? Then I recommend searching out the Langostino Sushi Burrito Food Truck! My fortunate opportunity was finding this food truck at the Tacoma Summer Blast at Dune Peninsula near Point Defiance Park. I've never had a sushi burrito before so I thought I'd give it a try. I ordered the Spicy Ahi Tuna Sushi Burrito and it was HUGE! Just imagine a giant Spicy Tuna Roll. It was so good! Can't wait to find them again in Tacoma!

The Original Twisted Potato w/ Garlic Parmesan, Ponzu Salmon Burrito

Langostino Sushi Burrito Ratings: 3.9/5 Food: 4/5 - I came to a Farmer's Market with three of my friends, and we got hungry towards the end. We decided to try Langostino, mainly because we wanted to try their twisted potato, since it looks cool and tasty. Plus, it was a great finger food at a Farmer's Market event. Please see the description of the food I got that evening. - Twisted Potato w/ Garlic Parmesan [GET]: The twisted potato was so fun to eat. The potato are freshly fried with skin on and each piece of potato was topped with the perfect amount of parmesan cheese. This made each bite so freaking heavenly and satisfying. It was not greasy, but super delicious. The only downside is it gets cold and soggy quick, since we were eating in the rain. - Ponzu Salmon Burrito [GET]: Whoa, that was what I said after my first bite. The ponzu salmon was the special burrito of the day. Salmon was fresh and tender, with a good fatty texture. This burrito exceeded my expectations. It got so many interesting and bold flavors and so refreshing. It contains pickled cabbage, cucumber, spicy mayo, and unagi sauce. The bad thing is the burrito was falling apart, I guess they didn't wrap it tight enough, so making it hard to eat. Ambiance: 4/5 - My friend randomly found this Farmer's Market event near University of Washington, and we decided to explore it. The market has a indoor and outdoor area, and outdoor is where many of the food venues are located. It was drizzling a bit, but it was still a fun and casual ambiance. I think Langostino move around, and present at multiple food market events, so keep an eye out of their iconic red truck! Price: 3.75/5 - The twisted potato with garlic parmesan was $8, but there's other premium toppings you can pick for $1 extra, and the ponzu salmon burrito is $18 all before tax. The price is on the higher side compared to other sushi burrito places I have had in the past, but it was pretty good quality. Service: 4/5 - There was quite a line at the Farmer's Market, but the staffs were prompt and quick. The cashier took our order and called our order number out loud once the food is ready. Although there was a line, the wait time isn't as bad as you think. The system they got in place was efficient, so I am not complaining. BLUF: Solid food truck with good service. I love sushi and sushi burritos, and I was satisfied with my order. If you happen to try this place out, please order the twisted potato, definitely something you do not see everywhere. I am glad I get to try it out while I visited Seattle.

Good fresh ingredients. I wish they had flour tortillas though the seaweed wrap was way too salty.

She offered people little samples of dishes and drink even if you were at the back of the line. I sampled the passion fruit tea and ended up ordering it because it has no added sugar with perfect but of bitterness from the tea without the acidity. The fried mochi balls/jing dui were the best ones I've had yet! I feel like small ones are hard to perfect but this was so crispy on the exterior, not overly oily, perfectly sweetened and balanced by the nuttiness of the sesame seeds. The shu mai was also top tier as it was packed with so much pork and shrimp, no fillers detected like flour or anything! So juicy and flavorful and paired excellent with the Lao gan ma-like chili oil they provided. I hope they come to farmer markets closer to Seattle!

We ordered the #3 Happy Meal Combo which gives a sampler of dim sum items + sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves. Everything was traditional and tasted good. The food arrived hot and spring rolls crispy. The price was decent for the items received. The wait was quite long and we were standing outside in the cold rain. Obviously, since it is a food truck, seating and parking cannot really be described. I'd still personally rather eat my dim sum at a real restaurant, but this is a decent alternative when that isn't available.
