I'm very disappointed with the level of service I experienced with this facility. Despite being…read moretold I would receive a call to schedule an earlier appointment, no one followed up. A full week passed with no communication, and I was finally contacted the day before my original appointment--far too late to make the necessary preparations. As a diabetic, I have to fast before having blood work done, which I clearly communicated to the receptionist. Fasting causes my blood sugar levels to drop, so careful planning is essential for my health and safety. Unfortunately, there was no consideration for this, and no one followed through on the promised call back. What was even more concerning was being told that "sometimes the doctor shows up and sometimes he doesn't." That level of unpredictability is unacceptable in any healthcare setting. Due to the lack of communication, consideration, and professionalism, I was ultimately unable to attend my appointment. This experience was extremely frustrating, and I would not recommend this facility to anyone seeking reliable or compassionate medical care. Update: My appointment was scheduled for 3:30 PM, yet I received a call at 2:53 PM from the receptionist asking if I still planned to come in. I had already spoken with someone at 10 AM this morning to explain my situation. Despite that, I was told, rather dismissively, that it was my responsibility to call and request an earlier appointment--this, after I had been assured over a week ago that I would receive a follow-up call with an updated time. Then the excuse was that the office was closed all last week, but I can book you for another PM appointment for this week. Unfortunately, this level of disorganization and lack of accountability makes it difficult to take this office seriously. Stay far away!!!!

His staff is inefficient - on more than two occasions booked appointments on days the doctors weren't scheduled to be there. Jovan was very rude and condescending with no bedside manner. He prescribed me on meds (after I asked for any other alternative) and conveniently failed to mention the primary side effect was seizures. In an emergency situation I called him and asked to come to the office. He said yes. I got there, clearly emotional (crying), and he said he couldn't help and told me to leave - even though on the phone he said he would help and to come in. It was traumatic and thanks to him I've lost so much trust and faith in the medical system. He's clearly in it for the money, has zero interest in treating people, and has no respect for this community. He should feel shame. He should truly be ashamed of himself.

You might be sorted out to the other physicians-who are ok. Nancy is wonderful at the front desk. She's a neighborhood native, so while some may take issue with her demeanor I think she's caring, on top of things and good at what she does. My only displeasure with the practice is the amount of substance abusers (junkies) that hang out at the office. I'm not sure if methadone is given out here, but there are always a dozen junkies or more hanging around, begging to be seen first, crying sometimes, and sometimes Harrasing other patrons. The junkie situation is a bit out of control and has been for years, but Hinz is so good I travel all the way from NJ to see him. Bear in mind though that he is a teaching Doctor so in addition to long wait times, the junkies, and the drama on the waiting room, you will be interviews at length by his interns before he sees you. Expect to be there a few hours, but he's worth it.

Finding a health center that doesn't charge an obscene amount of money to be seen is always a struggle. It was the closest, same-day appointment center I found on Yelp. They take several types of insurance, including mine which only charged a $10 copay. They even have their own app where you fill out your symptoms and payment information right there. Once I arrived, all I had to worry about was not coughing on the doctor! I got a prescription filled at the in-house pharmacy and was on my merry way about 30 minutes later. Thanks for supporting, especially right now.

Dr. Milos also displayed poor bedside manner when she pressed on my stomach without warning. Most practioners I've interacted with will warn you before they touch you and explain what they're doing. This is an important part of trauma-informed care and assuring patient bodily autonomy. Dr. Milos, if you or anyone from your office reads this, I'd like you to know that your blatant support of Donald Trump makes me feel unsafe in your care. Not only does Donald Trump spread misinformation about ongoing health crisis, his platform and policies are directly dangerous to my well being. I'm a middle class white woman many generations removed from my immigrant ancestors. However, Donald Trump seeks to strip away my bodily autonomy. As a bisexual person and a woman, he seeks to diminish my representation and civil rights protections. As someone affected by domestic violence and sexual assault, he encourages behavior that pose threats to my physical safety and he strips away policies meant to protect me from this violence. As someone who has benefited from government assistance, he seeks to make life and survival less possible for low income individuals and families. As a public service and nonprofit worker, he seeks to take away my livelihood by defunding our public service institutions and barring organizations that assist immigrants from nonprofit status. The next time I visited was a few months later and she was re-reading my past results and told me I had gallstones. I asked her why didn't you tell me this information when I had the telehealth visit, she said she forgot to turn the page. The second time was when I was getting a checkup. She told me I was missing the last dose for a vaccine, I had only gotten two doses. The second vaccine I had taken was over a year ago. I told her that no one informed me that I needed a third vaccine otherwise I would have scheduled it. She said I was the one who needed to schedule the vaccine appointment. I was going to the doctor's office consistently so she failed to notice that I needed an additional vaccine for a year. She never apologized for her office's mistake or took any accountability. Her secretaries barely speak any English so it is hard to get anything done. For example, I was at a radiology office and Dr. Xu forgot to sign the referral order. Her office refuted that the referral was not signed. The intake person repeated what she said over three times. They eventually faxed over the referral but it was not signed. This incident wasted 30 minutes of my time because of Dr. Xu office's uncooperativeness. The last incident was that I asked her office for a letter with my medical conditions and treatments for work purposes. She told me that she has no responsibility to provide me any documentation. This is a clear violation of my hipaa rights.
