If you want an amazing and caring PCP, Dr Kvetny is just that. If you don't want to deal with shitty, rude, grotesque front staff, do NOT come here. The nurses are great and dr is great but the people who you have to deal with at the front desk are increasingly annoying especially when you have to do important papers concerning work and/or medicines. They are horrible at relaying messages to the dr and getting back to you. Being placed on hold a million times. Won't acknowledge your presence and you're right in front of them. 0Dr.Kvetny is Great have been going there over 20 yrs..Ladies in the front desk that were working there before are great, some new ladies have an attitude like they have been there for ages.. this office is affiliated with Wyckoff hospital now so the rules have changed not crazy about it anymore.They put you on hold for over 6 mins as soon as they answer, some of us have lunch time..and can not call cause by the time I get out they are closed..To get an appointment I have to wait til next week (it's only Monday now) or call to see if someone canceled..Love the Doctor and old staff but not new.... read more

I took myself, son and wife to Dr. Kvetny for three years for everything from the flu too infections. He is a very nice man, Maryann is great and staff is patient and kind and the however due to numerous erroneous diagnoses we had to leave and I am now seeing a family doctor in Manhattan. You know, I just want to take a minute to speak candidly and try to help out anyone in queens that might be reading this; if you really want the best care for you and your family you're just going to have to go into Manhattan. If you want to take care of your kids, take your kids to where rich people take their kids. Unfortunately in Queens I've had some pretty horrifying experiences. Kvetny has taken on too many patients a day to serve all right. My mother waited 2 hours and when finally asked what the hold up was, she was told she never signed and and had to be put on the back of the new list. She left. But we still came back. It seems to be the area too: When my son was two years old the doctor a block away from this one right on Metropolitan Ave. told me my son needed his back operated on because his spine was fused together. When I took the x-rays into Manhattan, the doctors all laughed and said not only were the x-rays taken at the wrong area but the abnormality in question was simply gas in my sons intestines and he just needed to fart. Most of the doctors I've ever met or visited in mid center area Queens have given me erroneous diagnoses after waiting for hours to even see them in a dirty waiting room. You get so used to that living here that you forget that there are places that see you immediately and the doctors are extremely educated and well versed in their field. Dr. Kvetny misdiagnosed multiple infections and diseases that my son had and there are some very specific situations I had as well but I do not want to slander his practice so I digress. I will say however the last time I visited Dr. Kvetny in the winter of 2014 he told me that my son was perfectly fine he just had a cold, three weeks later my son ended up in the ER with pneumonia because Kvetny failed to correctly diagnose my sons severe bronchitis. This wasn't the first time either and thinking back, this seems to happen all the time in this office. We ended up bouncing my son back-and-forth between this doctor and another and yet somehow I kept bringing my son here because of the convenience of the location even though the wait in this particular office is approximately 1 to 3 hours. The administrative staff at the front desk is always flustered on the edge of a nervous breakdown 9 out of 10 times and the place is always packed and overbooked with the front desk trying to squeeze people in in-between an already jampacked schedule. It shouldn't be like that, we should insist on better care but again, once you're used to this kind of treatment, you just assume that all the other doctors offices must be the same. I'm here to tell you that they absolutely are not. I go to Manhattan or Malba or Park Slope and it's like stepping through a portal into another world of professionalism, accuracy, 5 to 10 minute wait times, English-speaking articulate doctors who have been educated in this country at top tier world class universities. My wife received a myomectomy in Manhattan last week from a Doctor whom was recently featured on an NBC morning talk show for being one of the world's leading OB/GYN doctors. In queens I get the exact opposite impression unfortunately. My 25 y.o. cousin died at queens hospital cause a doc used the wrong blood thinner on him in surgery and I have a dozen other similar stories here in queens. One after the other. I'm appalled at how bad these practices are actually out here and In hindsight I kick myself for even bringing my son back here over and over but I won't make that mistake again. As convenient as it was to live across the street from this clinic I now take him into Manhattan where he gets the best care in America. You and your family are worth it, I know mine are so I take the extra hour to take my family were the best doctors are. Unfortunately in this country we have to go where the money is. We have to seek healthcare and education where rich people seek it. There's a whole other conversation about the injustice that the middle and lower class receive (you and me, who go to this office) and that's a whole other conversation. But you know what? If that's what it takes I'll play the game for the sake of my beautiful family. Be well - Update, since the myomectory, my wife is 3 months pregnant with a healthy brother to my son. I have been a regular patient of Dr. Kvetny's for over 15 years and I would never dream of seeing anyone else. He is the best there is in every way. As a doctor he always takes great care of me. I have never had any issue with him. The ladies up front who bust their backs keeping up with a very busy office are some of the best you'll find anywhere! Marianne is crazy beautiful inside & out! Even when there is chaos in her midst, she manages to remain polite and takes care of everyone. AnnMarie is an angel! I cannot tell you the number of times I've had to call to ask her to please schedule me, call me back when I was having issues with the pharmacy etc, and I was frazzled, she has always maintained her professionalism along with her beautiful sense of humor and kindness. She never fails to call me back and let me know the outcome. While I too am aware the office has undergone a lot of changes, growth, new technology and so on, I would rather go through longer waits on the phone and maybe waiting a day more to get my prescription called in, than ever switch for these minor reasons. It's like having 60 years of wonderful at this office or a lifetime of nothing special someone else! I'll take the 60 years in a heartbeat!! Dr. Kvetny, Marianne, AnnMarie, Michelle, and all the ladies up front, please know all your hard work and dedication is absolutely noticed and appreciated wholeheartedly! I was told I'd get a call back about whether or not I had strep the first time I was there. Never did. My wife went there a month later out of curiosity. I did have it but thank for the no call. My wife is switch us to a different primary care physician because she had issues with her neck and trying to get answers has been an uphill battle. Since 2008 she complains about this pain. And amongst several misdiagnosis', no call back about referals, or referring us to places that don't perform the exams she's being referred for. ..we have given up on this place. Horrible. read more

after waiting 1,5 hour make app on the phone include my id card proof to have insurance, my insurance provide me with this adress and doctor, waiting another 2 week for app, today after I provide my id insurance make it app, i waiting in 45 min to found out they not able provide any service ,my id card was not current,I then call insurance from waiting room i give them number, no beside they working like sleeping beauty, I come home call again a hoops i have same number, not happy et all, is totally waste my time and unprofesional, sorry doctor is not about you, is about people working in front, need to found another more proficient front desk services, lenka szoke read more

I have been seeing Dr. Kventy since November 2017 and have had no problems at all. He is very kind to me. My sister and family now go to him also. Maryann and Nina are very nice and helpful. I NEVER wait long to see the doctor. I NEVER wait longer than a couple of minutes on the phone if I call to schedule an appointment, and I always get an appointment within a day or so, which I understand since he is busy. One night after 10pm I called the doctor and the service answered and I explained that I took two blood pressure pills at the same time when I was only supposed to take one and I was very nervous and Dr. Kventy called me within 10 minutes, asked me questions, I took my blood pressure and he assured me it was okay. He did not rush the call, he was very patient. I love his staff, they are all very professional and compassionate and considerate with me. read more

I have never had a more horrible experience at a doctors office then I have had in the past few months. 1. I CANNOT EVER get results on time. I was led to believe I had lyme disease for almost 2 months. I had to call for results several time. Results they had, but had not been read. And when they were finally read it was by the rude lead receptionist at the front desk who thinks she's a doctor. I had to call and leave messages for my doctor to read them personally, which NEVER HAPPENED because my calls are never returned. 2. The lead receptionist at the office, who looks more like she's dressing for a beauty pageant then work is so RUDE! When I showed up to speak to my doctor she got rude with me and told me she'd take my number and he'd call me..EVEN though he was standing in plain sight and I explained to her that I never get call backs from that office. And when I tried to get kvetny's attention she stood in front of him to block my sight of him and whispered for him to go away or something. I went to kvetny since I am a child. All I wanted was a second to explain to him that my entire family has become unhappy with the service at the front desk and that I still didn't have a number to the facility I was suppose to be getting an MRI at because I call and call and get dismissed and instead AGAIN I was dismissed like a bug by the same receptionist who think she owns the clinic. She told me I've worked here for 17 years, who are you. To which I've responsed, I've been coming here since I'm a child. My entire family has and you don't know me? WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT YOU or the amount of patients the practice has taken on. It's disgusting. Any one who goes here, SERIOUSLY BEWARE. Disgusting office practices. I simply needed the doctor to resubmit a prescription that had run out (I need to take this pill every day) and they told me he is too busy and will do it by tonight or the next morning. The next morning would have been two days off the pill and they only suggest you miss one dose. When I called the next morning they told me the same story and when I asked for my records to be given to me they said they couldn't and I would have to call the hospital he is affiliated with, which doesn't make any sense. After 40 minutes on hold because I asked to talk to a PA (the day prior they told me there aren't any, which I know is a lie because I have been there before) I hung up and made an appointment with a new doctor. I will never be returning to this office ever nor will i recommend it to anyone. What kind of doctor waits till the night or has the audacity to say the next morning for important medication when he knows my records and just has to authorize a submit. Screw this place. read more

i have been going to dr kvetney now for almost 6 years. i never had any problems getting an appointment with my doctor. i could even walk in and be able to see my doctor. all of a sudden i cannot see my doctor if im sick. im usually going to City MD whenever im sick because Dr Kvetney is all booked up. Seriously whats going on that all of a sudden i cannot see my own doctor? something has to change because if not I may have to change doctors and I really dont want to. I like my doctor alot and its hard finding a good doctor that cares about you. i seriously hope Dr Kvetney is reading these reviews so he knows how his patients feel about the service. read more
