If I had been told what she was contemplating - a neck MRI - I would have had the ensuing argument right there in her office. When her employee called to advise that the insurance company had approved the MRI, I thought it was a mistake as I'd had one a month previously. I told the employee that I'd had a neck MRI already (ordered by a different doctor). I wasn't eager to have another one; it was stressful. She put Dr. Tulpan on and she gaslighted me. She told me I was "confused", that I hadn't had a neck MRI. You don't get confused about MRIs. They're pretty distinctive. Nothing else is an MRI. I was shocked that she didn't believe me. Turned out that the imaging center had only sent the radiology report to the neurologist who ordered the first MRI and Dr. Tulpan didn't have the report so she assumed I was "confused." I wouldn't see her again if she were the last doctor on the planet.

Reception by phone and in person is friendly and professional. The waiting room cleanliness and atmosphere five stars. The nurse and front desk friendliness, professionalism, knowledge, and prompt request to my needs is five stars, ten if I could give it! I love her current nurse Melissa. She's very patient. She really has it tough dealing with pharmacies. I've witnessed it first hand. Doctor Tulpan has exhibited ongoing training, and modernization of her practice since I've been coming to her. She can focus on her specialty even more by affiliating with NYU Langone. NYU Langone takes all kinds of insurance. Some insurance companies are very difficult to deal with. NYU 'My Chart' offers on line access to your health records. It's a great system easily navigable. I get reminders by email of appointment dates and times. I can view my patient visit summary immediately after my appointment. My test results, family History, allergies and more are located in one file. You can screenshot insurance cards to enter them. I love the website. For all the forms required I'm provided with a iPad to read the forms and sign electronically. I can access everything I sign in my chart. So modern. I was also offered facial recognition and hand scan. I declined. I provided them with a photo ID for my file. In my opinion that's enough! I'm not one to go to the doctor for every little thing. It is obvious to me that Doctor Tulpan keeps up with the latest patient treatment in her field. I do know that she realizes I take my life and wellness serious. After all, you are putting your life in someone else's care when you go to the doctor. She understands we all have family and friends. They ask about our health and how our visit to the doctor went. It took me a few years to finally feel confident that she understands my health issues. At this point I would be devastated if she left Manhattan! I realize how many things are beyond the doctors control. Insurance rules, State, and Federal Legislation, and more, all complicate treatment plans and the progress of treatment services. She is open with me about her processes while providing my medical treatment. I appreciate that greatly. I've never received Lab results as quickly as I have since she has been using the latest equipment. She is the only doctor I have had in years that calls me herself to report my test results. I'm so happy when she leaves the info on my messages. It is hard to reconnect some times after the visit. Doctor Tulpan and her current location would receive 10 Stars from me if I could give them!

From the very beginning, he went above and beyond--personally ensuring my husband was transferred from a local hospital to Mount Sinai Hospital so he could receive the specialized treatment he urgently needed. Dr. Schwartz took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, ensuring we fully understood what was happening at every step. His bedside manner was exceptional: calm, compassionate, and reassuring during one of the most frightening times in our lives. It was immediately clear that he is not only extremely knowledgeable but also truly top-notch in his field. What impressed us most was his expertise and quick thinking during surgery. He had the foresight to take a portion of the biopsy and have it frozen for a preliminary pathology determination. This saved us critical time, and in our case, time mattered--because the final diagnosis of Primary Brain Lymphoma required chemotherapy to begin as quickly as possible. Even after surgery, Dr. Schwartz continued to check in on us, which meant more than words can express. He treated my husband like a person, not just a case, and that kind of care is rare. If you are looking for a skilled, thorough, compassionate, and willing-to-fight-for-his-patients neurosurgeon, I cannot recommend Dr. Schwartz highly enough.

She also was rather rude when I asked a simple question about fibroids, as I was not familiar with how they form. I am honestly confused by all the rave reviews about her bedside manner because the first impression she gave was horrible. Please note I'm not looking for someone to hold my hand and coddle me but there was a distinct impression I got that she wasn't actually interested in any of my concerns or questions. The office was also disorganized and could not follow a simple email thread about a possible plan for next steps After two visits that was enough for us and we did not pursue anything further. For an expensive NYC "boutique" office, I think it should have been a better experience

I did a lot of research before deciding to reach out to NYCIVF. One of the many important aspects for me was not feeling like a number and to be able to have a more personalized experience with both the Dr. and members of the team. As soon as I called NYCIVF I felt like we would be taken care of. We were able to get an appointment within a short time frame, they looked into whether our insurance was accepted and were personable on the phone. Upon meeting Dr. Alyaa, I (for the first appt I went by myself as my husband was traveling) could tell she was a highly educated individual with confidence, faith and warmth. She wanted to get to know who we were and help us get to our end goal of having a baby. She right away put me at ease that I was not "old" (34) and that everything would work out fine. We also decided to start tests right away as there was no point in waiting. I really liked her go ahead attitude. In the end my husband and I underwent IVF and were successful on the 2 FET (no one's fault on the 1st, it just happens and is poor luck). Our pregnancy occurred about 6 months after the initial appt (very quick!!) Below are a number of reasons why I would choose NYCIVF for your fertility needs: 1) Dr. Alyaa is incredibly smart and wonderful at what she does. She keeps your spirits up during an emotional rollercoaster of a time 2) Dr. Alyaa does what is best for you and your partner and getting you to the end goal of pregnancy as quickly as possible. She will not have you go through IUI first unless she thinks there is a chance for success. 3) The team knows how to deal with insurance - this was one of our biggest complaints, our insurance company, like many can be a pain! They handled corresponding with them an insuring procedures and medicines were properly covered. 4) If you call, the team knows you on a first name basis you are by no means a number 5) The office is small and you will only see Dr. Alyaa. I never had to wait for my appt. I was always taken right away. 6) The office is really pretty and welcoming! Its location is in a nice area and the office and operating room are kept clean and sterile. 7) Dr. Alyaa responds to emails in RAPID speed, as does the rest of the team 8) Appts can be scheduled at your convenience. They are flexible to help those who are in demanding jobs and can only step away prior to work or during lunch time We will forever be thankful for Dr. Alyaa and the team. We still keep in touch and plan to as they become and amazing part of the pregnancy journey. I would recommend NYCIVF without a doubt to anyone who is struggling with fertility. It's a very emotional ride and you want someone you trust and this is 100% the place.
