Location: Located Lougheed Hwy @ Bainbridge, it's behind an old pub 1/2 from Lougheed, lots of free parking. 1/2 block from bus line, 7 min walk down Lougheed to Holdom skytrain station. Easy peasy for all. Hours: This place is open until 11 pm- later than ALL in this area. Service: Freaking 5 stars. I've pulled up at 10:55 pm, right after work, under the wire- ZERO attitude, ZERO "we're closing in 5 minutes" lecture, NO intense staring by the counter staff who can't wait to get the hell off shift in 5 minutes. Selection: Um, freaking fantastic. Tons of wine, lots of coolers packed full of beer, wine, cider, everything in between beer, wine and cider. Wine up the wazoo, hard liquor in all shapes and sizes, at surprisingly low, suburban rates. No $6 single cans here! The space: *CLEAN* no sticky floors, everything neat and tidy, smelling of fresh Febreeze Air-Linen-Sky, so lovely. Staff: Incredibly polite, sincerely happy and very efficient at getting you in and out in 5 minutes, or 30 minutes (if that's your jam) ~ whatever floats your boat. I'm pretty fussy about cleanliness, having items and stock, and customer service, and Bainbridge Liquor ticks off all these boxes, with a sweet smile. Not sure what the past low ratings are about, but in 2024 this is my go-to store for service, selection and price.

Luckily the manager here is a huge fan of Craft Beer and as such she has been slowly moving more and more craft beer into the coolers and has currently taken over most of two coolers and dedicated them to craft beer. There is also some overflow craft beer on shelves not in the coolers due to lack of space. The clerk apologized and re-entered the transaction. It went through the second time. But I kept both receipts, just in case. Sure enough, when I got my MasterCard statement a few weeks later, I was billed for both transactions. Now back at home in Coquitlam, I sent an email to the manager at the Liquor Depot in Edmonton where I had shopped a few weeks earlier. I scanned and sent a copy of both receipts and my MasterCard statement. He replied within hours, apologizing again, and advising me that if I went to the nearby Coquitlam Liquor Depot location on Barnet Highway, I could get the refund processed on my MasterCard. So I went down there the next day. It was the first time I had ever walked into the place. As was I explaining the situation, the clerk politely interrupted me and said they were already expecting me. She again apologized for the bother, and processed the refund at once. What had just happened? Frankly, this level of customer service completely floored me! That was my "introduction" to the Liquor Depot on Barnet. I've since become a regular. The customer service has consistently been friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful without being pushy. Just one example: this past summer, we bought several bottles of an inexpensive table wine from the Okanagan. Two weeks ago, I had the idea to buy some more, but couldn't remember the name of the wine. Well, all I had to do was give the clerk a rough approximation of what I thought I remembered the name of the vineyard was, and she said, "Oh, yes, you mean this one right here...." Excellent service, but also very good prices, comparable to BC Liquor Store prices, and sometimes even lower when they have a promotion. Definitely better prices overall than other private liquor stores I've shopped. The general selection of wines is good, though not great (I focus on wines only because we don't drink a lot of beer or spirits). A lot of the same labels you see at BC Liquor Stores, but several others you don't, including one of our very favourite Oliver vineyards, Silver Sage (although, regrettably, a very limited selection from this wonderful winery). Parking isn't the greatest at this location, but I don't mind. We shop here regularly--definitely our favourite private liquor store!

I came here to pick up some liquor for a friend's party and to my surprise it was very empty. When BCLB is not on strike, I would say they have good selections and prices are reasonable. Parking is available upstairs at the Safeway. Their lot covers the entire plaza AND the liquor store, so you're good. The location is one of the brighter lit ones (good). There are samples to be had, and the staff are friendly. One of the few things the government gets right. Other than the fact the same stuff in USA is half the price.

It is your friendly neighbourhood liquor store that has the lower prices from the privates and I'm all about saving some coin, especially on the alcohol front. They don't have a huge selection like the one that is across from my work (Cambie-Oakridge) but the prices are the same. They have a recycling area in the back, security guards watching so no one runs off stealing stuff. Parking is pretty good here, as you have the whole of the underground on the Safeway side to park, and walk a few steps and you are in here. Interesting design, as this is an older building, when you enter it's a regular door, with a handicap button, but when you leave, there is a big sliding door that goes sideways (so they must know people leave with shopping carts worth of booze). A good enough selection in terms of countries and regions for wine, as I said... your not getting signature store selection, but regular government prices. The big names, they got em, the smaller ones.. not so much. Considering the location of this one (hidden, a little) at least there is an option here. Just remember those hours of operation, and this is not private, so holidays.. this place ain't open!

The store itself is tucked away in the W corner, and isn't really visible from the main lot. This location is smaller than the others, so the selection isn't the best. However, it has the usual staples. Most importantly, it does have a cold beer section.

I also love that it has a wonderful selection of wine and spirits. I can usually come in here and find exactly what I am looking for. Whether it be for a night out or a nice wine for dinner. The staff are also very helpful. I wonder if they get free samples lol. If so, I want a job here too!
