It was ridiculous. Oh and the fact the BCID was expired. Um expired or not does not change my age that's stated on the card . So glad west coast understands. The purpose of asking for ID is to verify my age. I should not need to carry my entire portfolio of ID and credentials to get a bottle of wine not at 39 years old anyways I will always come here.

Most impressive, though, was the selection of wines here. As you might have noticed at your local liquor store, there's been a marked problem with supply, and so so many shelves are empty in so many wine stores. This is prevalent across the province, and is due to many factors. At the BC Liquor store nearest me, in Yaletown (on Pacific), it's shocking how many shelves are empty. I keep getting told that they'll be restocking soon, as the wines become more available, but it's been pretty sad there for over a month now. But here at this particular BC Liquor Store, they have SO many wines that aren't available at other BCLS locations, and I didn't see any empty shelves at all. So if you're looking for your favorite wine and it's not available at you BCLS near you, call up this store. They probably have it!

They harassed my friend over their ID for what amounted to a six pack of cider. They pretend they are doing due diligence when really they are shaming folks and making scenes, particularly the muscular short guy seems to have issues berating a customer like they've done a crime. Totally unprofessional. Feel free to ask them about wine; they don't know about that either, including easy questions like, "what's your biggest and cheapest wine (for sangria)?" "Uh this one is cheap." Next to it on the shelf sits a larger and cheaper bottle. Total idiots. I'm willing to forgive a lot of blunders during the pandemic but not rudeness, clear discrimination or blatant stupidity. Taking my six years of business elsewhere.

They had a nice selection of wines, but most of them I wasn't familiar with. The lady working there obviously saw my confusion and offered to help me. I told her what I was looking for, and she gave me some options. I decided on a French wine, and hoped for the best. It turned out to be amazing and everyone loved it. More than I usually pay for wine but definitely worth it! Awesome customer service. I'll be back.

Kerrisdale, the new mecca for Craft Beer!…read more Say what? I discovered this newly opened gem last week, so new they were furiously stocking the beer fridges with everything hoppy. I'm not intending to come across as an alchy here, but I have to admit that I have already stopped in three times (I am taking a course in the same building). With each passing day their beer selection has grown like a frothy ale and I gotta say, may be surpassing Brewery Creek in its quality and diversity. With names like Rogue, Lagunitas, Driftwood, Cannery littering the racks, there are some other noteworthy brews. Upright, Pretty Things, and literally dozens of Belgians ( way to many to name). So far, WCL has got the goods. I eagerly await my next visit. Probably Tuesday!
