Upon first impressions, this is a small boutique sized wine store (we are in South Granville after all) that tries. It's a split level, the entrance (higher) level is wine, lower level (exit) is beers. There is a little bit of everything grouped by countries. A few bottles of each brand, and looks like a good mix of mid-priced to higher priced bottles. Appreciated the fridges lined with white wine. I imagine it serves as a good last minute "grab and go." I had a few minutes to browse before I was asked if I needed help. They didn't have the bottle I was seeking but the guy spent at least 5 to 10 minutes going over some other wines he recommended, taking my budget into account and asking other questions (i.e. was I looking for a specific varietal, region, etc.) He mentioned I could bring the bottle back if we were unsatisfied with the wine but I didn't ask how that would work... I would feel sheepish to bring back an opened bottle of wine. In the end I took a bottle that was recommended, within my budget, and though I had never heard of this winery before, turned out to be a great hit at dinner. Thanks!

I was recently at another store (different company) and they not only wanted a drivers license but one more photo ID hello I only have a BCID and passport and I'm not carrying my passport daily for errands. It was ridiculous. Oh and the fact the BCID was expired. Um expired or not does not change my age that's stated on the card . So glad west coast understands. The purpose of asking for ID is to verify my age. I should not need to carry my entire portfolio of ID and credentials to get a bottle of wine not at 39 years old anyways I will always come here.

Picked up a Bicardi rum and Vodka 750 ml for $21.99 and a Crown Royal 750 ml for $25.99 that was a great deal they had advertised. Party! The regular prices from what I can see are slightly more than the local BCLS. They have great deals until December 13th on many items.

The cashier, who seemed to be either the manager or at least the person in charge, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products they are carrying. The only other employee I saw was a man who appeared not to speak English well enough to answer our questions, and he always defered to the woman at the cash (this happened two or three times). What I enjoyed was finding a different variety of wines than are available in Ontario (where I am from). However, I can say that I was greatly impressed with the wine we did get: We purchased 4 bottles of wine - 1 for tonight, and 3 for future events coming up very soon, and for tonight we opened a 2008 organic Domaine de L'Olivette from France. It was very nice, indeed! I might shop there again if I was local, but truly I think I would be shopping around if I was from here, if nothing else than to take in the variety and compare.
