My friends and I came up to Hunter Mountain for the weekend to ski. This hotel is exactly as you…read morecould expect - it's a very cozy, chalet vibe, and the rooms are very cute and totally OK. What is unexpectedly amazing about this hotel is the service. I have never experienced such warmness and understanding from any hotel staff. There was a snow storm on Sunday and my friends actually got into a car accident. Thankfully, nothing terrible happened and everyone was safe, but the whole experience had us shook. That was the day we were supposed to check-out. As you can imagine, we were all worried about driving back in these conditions, especially as the storm kept getting worse, rather than slowing down. The hotel staff offered to extend our stay, free of charge, so that we could wait out the storm. They even provided us with extra linens and towels so we could have a more comfy evening. I cannot say how thankful we all are. Our stay at the Kaatskill Mountain Club was amazing. Aside from the amazing staff, the hotel amenities themselves are pretty cool. We had a fun time at the hot tub and heated pool, and the complimentary breakfast is the perfect pick me up before a long ski day. If you're looking for a cozy weekend getaway, and an amazing hospitality, that's the place for you.

They have a concierge for your ski equipment, and a shuttle if needed (it wasn't needed this time, there was plenty of snow on the path to ski to the lifts). We were hoping to enjoy the restaurant and bar (The Van Winkle) but it was unfortunately closed for a private event. We were given a booklet of nearby places to eat, which was helpful. The room had a luxurious feel to it, spa-like. It was clean and well stocked. We had wifi keys which is a nice feature, and the elevators were efficient. Breakfast was included, and it was a "grab and go" assortment of oatmeal, pastries, apples and granola bars, along with hot beverages. I would have liked it if the hot beverages had been available after skiing as well, but there were coffee pots in the room with coffee, teas and actual mugs, along with creamers and sweeteners. We will surely be coming back to this great location!

This place is a DUUUUUMP. Mystifying as to how this hotel can even be occupied. Dirty,…read moredilapidated, rundown, subpar on every possible level. I'm surprised the hotel hasn't collapsed in certain areas or slid off the mountain... it honestly looks like it is about to. It stinks, all the floors are slanted and crooked, the decor is something out of a horror movie. It's unlikely any work at all has been put into this place in the past 50 years - walls and carpets are filthy. Paint peeling off the sides of the structure. Columns supporting the hotel are slanted as if they're about to buckle. I surmise they have a captive clientele who are there because they don't know better or there isn't much of an alternative as far as Kosher hotels. (can that really be?). My entire stay here was trans-like induced by how a place like this can exist and in shock at the state of utter disrepair. The Oppenheimer's were so nice and welcoming, as were the hotel guests and all staff (waiters, etc) that it hurts to write a review like this. I feel like the absolute monstrous condition of this place compels me to shed some honest opinions as a service (and warning) to others. Thank you.

We were looking forward to a relaxing getaway at Tiny Home Resort, but unfortunately, the…read moreexperience fell short of expectations, especially considering the price. Our biggest concern was the cleanliness and maintenance of the property. There were visible stains on the towels, bed linens, and window blinds. Even more concerning, the water from the faucet was discolored despite letting it run for some time. These issues were unacceptable given the cost of the stay. The hospitality was also disappointing. The resort seems intentionally designed to minimize interaction with guests, but the experience felt impersonal rather than welcoming. Additionally, activities come at an extra cost, which was disappointing given how expensive the accommodations already were. We participated in an arts and crafts activity, and the host barely spoke to or engaged with us. While the tiny home concept is appealing, the overall experience did not justify the price. Between the cleanliness concerns, questionable water quality, additional activity fees, and lack of hospitality, we left feeling disappointed. Unfortunately, I would hesitate to recommend this resort without significant improvements.

Not bad at all for a budget motel. I mean, you can't expect that much for a place that's this…read moreinexpensive compared to other accommodations in the area. All I was looking for was a decent place to wash up and sleep, and this motel did the job fine. I just happened to see one of the staff members outside when I pulled in, and she opened up the office so I could check in. I guess the office was already closed otherwise? There was a sign on the office door to knock at the green building down the driveway if there was no one there, so I would have had to do that if I hadn't seen her. (Which wouldn't have been that big deal, probably.) The room and bathroom were clean, even if a bit aged. The bathroom had clean towels and basic toiletries (even disposable toothbrushes) available. There was a small area with a fridge with freezer, microwave, dishes, glasses, mugs, and a coffee maker. I found out the next morning that the coffee condiment bag was probably old because the moisture from the creamer leaked out and fused with the sugar packets. Good thing I didn't really need it. The coffee was pre-portioned out in a zip-lock bag. Not sure how old it was but it tasted fine when I made the coffee. The chain lock on the door was also broken, but the motel was so quiet and not busy that I wasn't worried about someone breaking in. I was also in the room next to the motel owner and door to my room was well-lit, so that also helped. Not sure if I would have felt the same my room was located farther away from there. There was also free wi-fi which was essential because there was pretty much no cellular service (at least on my carrier). Check-out was also super easy - just drop the key in the key drop. I would stay here again, if I needed just the basics.
