Visited Lane 25 on NYE for a mellow New Years date night. What a great spot in the Putters and Strike City complex! There are only 8 lanes and they have these swanky leather couches to sit on for an awesome vibe that was great for an adults only play area. It's a small spot that left you feeling intimate while having fun. You order food and drinks from the bar and they deliver it to you at your lane. With over 20 taps there is something for everyone to drink and they have a full menu to choose from. It's bar food, burgers, wings, fries etc. But, the pizza is the hidden gem here. The wood fired pizza is so good. The crust is perfectly chewy and toothy, the cook fired it perfectly and it had the perfect crunchy crust. My wife was able to add Ricotta and roasted garlic from another pizza to the main pepperoni and she said it was fantastic. Me, I have a dairy free diet so I got the Veggie pizza without cheese. I was very surprised with crispy mushrooms and olive blend. The mushrooms were PNW mushrooms and had such an earthy aroma and flavor. The marinara was spicy too, it was just a perfect pizza. It just needed a garlic EVOO drizzle to tie it together. We will definitely be back, this has made it into our top 5 date night locations. read more

Went here for a work party. The employee was nice, but a little fuzzy about what vegan means. He asked the chef, to ensure he was recommending vegan options. We enjoying coming here when we feel like going bowling. We pick this location due to it being 21+ or older. It very relaxed and not wild like most bowling alleys can be. They have an amazing tap selection and also have, pool, shuffleboard and slot machines. The food here is good bar food and their prices are fair. Service has always been kind and helpful but you do have to return to the bar to get refills usually as there is usually one employee working the bar most of the time. read more

So much fun! We came after a day of inventory at our small business. We had to wait until 4pm for the lanes to open but we're happy to chill and have a beer. Speaking of beer; there are SO many taps to chose from. I sampled the Cold Fire IPA offerings and was happy with the choices. If you can't find something on the list I don't know what to tell ya. They have wine and cider, too. The servers were helpful and friendly; I wanted to hang at the bar just to chat. I was skeptical about the poutine but it didn't disappoint. A plate was easily shared by the three of us. My coworker had the Rueben with tots and said it was good. The lanes are adult like; wood and leather. Makes one feel sophisticated. They use updated technology for the scoring while having a great selection of balls. The shoes are pretty decent too! Ok; who talks about restrooms? I do, that's who. I came in here with my husband and some friends shortly before Christmas to spend some time and celebrate the holiday. I had never been to the bar section prior to this visit. I've seen it when walking into the bowling alley. To be honest, it didn't look like the most welcoming place. You know that bar with all the regulars crowing it, looking at you funny because you're not one of them? That's what it used to look like. But, they've done an amazing remodel. It is brighter, cleaner, and they've added bowling lanes within the bar. I love the fact they have couches instead of the plastic chairs. Each lane feels separate from the others, and it's a very relaxed atmosphere. I can definitely see coming in here more often now, to relax, enjoy some good food and drinks, and spend time with friends. They don't have a full bar. Only beer and ciders. Which is fine. The food is good. My husband had a hamburger and I had fish and chips. The fried pickles are actually really good. Better than I expected. They came highly recommended by the bartender/waitress. The fries are almost shoestring fries, being thin and small. It wasn't expensive either, I didn't think. Would I return? Absolutely! I'm really glad our friends invited us to check this place out. You don't see a lot of places designed like this in this area of Eugene. An interior with a modern, chic, and elevated style. As someone who lives in West Eugene I think Lane 25 is a wonderful addition. Every time I have gone I have an amazing time. They have a proper pizza oven and they make some satisfying crispy pizzas. I always get their grilled cheese though because it's surprisingly very good. I usually hate ordering out dishes that I can so easily implement at home, but they just make it so ewey gooey yummy. They don't have a liquor license so I can't get my preferred beverage of choice while bowling, a White Russian of course. But they make up for it in their selection of beers and wine. This would be a nice spot to come hang out and have a drink and not necessarily bowl. A great add to the Highway 99 family-would love to see more businesses like this move into the neighborhood. read more

Love this bowling alley! You would never guess this place exists on Highway 99 in a pretty boring strip mall. When you walk inside you'll be immediate impressed with the atmosphere, a large tap list and 21+ bowling. I love the leather couches, food delivered to your lane and friendly service. I've been here with large groups and just with one other person and all experiences have been good. I wish they had cocktails but that's the only thing that's missing in my book. My girlfriend and I stopped by Lane 25 a few weeks ago for an evening of entertainment and dinner. This place is right next to Strike City and I had been to the bar portion a few years ago -- which was dark and more of a waiting area for lanes at Strike City than anything else. I had heard that Lane 25 sported its own 21-and-over bowling area and as we didn't have the kids with us (and didn't necessarily want to be surrounded by a bunch of them), we went it to have a fun date night. To start with, this place is beautiful. It has been redesigned from the dark and cold bar it used to be and it is a modern place to hang out. There is a U-shaped bar top that extends from one room to the next. The right hand side has booths and pool tables. The left hand side has tables and different sittings areas as well as the large shuffleboard table and the 8 lane bowling alley. And as I said, the bar top extends through both areas and ties them together nicely. It was not busy on a Monday even when my girlfriend and I went in. The place is rather large, so it could have been twice as busy and it would have only looked half full. We walked up to the bar top on the bowling alley side and asked how the place worked. Essentially, did we order at the bar, at the bowling area, where can we eat, etc. We were able to order food and drinks at the bar and it would get brought to us at the bowling alley. I got chicken tenders and my GF got a fish and chips. We walked over to the bowling area. We were told that it is normally $30/hr (!) but because it was Monday, it was $15/hr (per lane). That probably isn't a bad deal if you have 3-4 people playing on a lane. There are comfy chairs and couches instead of normal bowling alley seats and that is awesome. Our food was brought out to us fairly quickly and we could play while we ate. Lane 25 does have regular bowling, but it also has a variety of games you can play. Most are pretty much the same as the others with different animations. The television/scoreboard looks vibrant and new. They have an Angry Birds mode, where knocking down certain pins nets you more points than others. There is another that just keeps track of pins and doesn't give extra points for strikes/spares. They have a couple games where you have to pick up particular spares and the pinsetter will set up players with these specific pins to hit (their version of H-O-R-S-E). Most of the games are only 5-6 frames, so you can get through them quickly and move on to others. There are only 5-6 different games, so you can get through all of them at least once with just 2 people in an hour. The food we got was decent. Chicken tenders and fish each had seasoning. Fries are way too small. There are a lot of them, but they are difficult to physically hold and you have to get 4 at a time to warrant taking a bite. I would personally cut the fries larger instead of serving fry-lettes that are difficult to eat without dropping them. Although it was 21-and-over, there was a group of nearly 21 year olds that were loud and obnoxious. Screaming after every throw and jumping around. Luckily there were as far from us as possible (we got Lane 1 and they were on Lane 8), but it would have been very annoying listening to that group up close and personal. With booze involved, there wouldn't have been any way to quiet them up either. Kind of defeated the purpose of not having screaming kids around if you get screaming, booze throttled adults instead. Overall, this place is nice. The bar area has been beautifully redesigned and the staff was helpful with information and friendly. The bowling area looks great and is comfortable and the mini-bowling games are fun. The food is decent, but nothing to write home about. The prices are on the high end -- my tab was over $50 for a mixed drink, a mountain dew, chicken tenders, fish and chips, and an hour on a lane (at the reduced rate). It would have been almost $70 on any other day where the lanes are regular price. For that reason, I will have to pick and choose when it worth the time to go back. It is definitely fun, but it is on the more expensive side for bar food and bowling. Still, definitely an experience to try out at least once. read more

Service and proffessionalism is why I am writing this reveiw on behalf of Lane 25. Our company paticipated in a charity fund raiser in August this year, in which two of our participating teams won first place gift cards for there efforts. We all enjoyed the fund raiser so much, we decided to get together at Lane 25 again to use the gift cards for a rematch between ourselves. When we went to use the gift cards to pay for our inner company rematch, much to our surprise, the cards were un-usable. So as a resolution to the problem, Lane 25 not only gave us our bowling at 1/2 price with free shoe rental, They also followed up later by hand delivering all new usable gift cards to our place of business. This place is great! It's so nice to see a new bowling alley, and especially one that is ADULTS ONLY. Not that I don't enjoy regular bowling, this remodel of the old Spare Room Pub was really well done. There's the part that's minors allowed, which has a bar and pool tables. But's also connected to the new bar and bowling alley, adults only. That side has a shuffleboard, fireplace and the 8 lanes (and can't forget the super nice bathrooms!). We'd stopped by once to see what the deal was and were told to make a reservation a week ahead for the weekends. Each lane can seat 6 people and you pay for the time on the lane, not by number of games. The couches are way more comfortable than the hard plastic of most other places. Plus places for your shoes and bags. You can have your drinks right up there with you along with food. The house bowling balls are color coded for weight. And the computers for adding bowlers and customizing games are super user friendly and up to date. You will see your remaining time on the lanes in the upper right corner of the screens. Once your time is up, the lane turns off. My friends ordered food and it all looked pretty good. Side note: the chicken strip basket comes with shoestring style fries but only two chicken strips for $8. The pizzas looked pretty good, they have some interesting topping options. Next time will come here for dinner first and then bowling. The reason this isn't a 5 star review is that they still need to get their act together on how things operate. Not that anyone was rude or anything like that, but they seemed a bit stressed for regular Saturday night and didn't know how to break up the payment of our group of 3 couples on one lane. And a few times, the wait staff brought food to our table that wasn't anything we ordered, there must be some confusion on how to keep track of where to deliver orders. From the outside, you aren't expecting much... But once you step into Lane 25 it's a whole different atmosphere than what you've got in a parking lot off of 99! It's nicely updated with a bar/restaurant side and then the lanes in the back. There is also a large shuffleboard table for play. The menu is pretty typical for bar food, but the quality of it is well above typical! My favorite are their onion rings :P If you're thinking of going here, I recommend calling first as they have different specials each day (for bowling and food&drink) which I don't think are actually listed on their website yet. I have been to Lane 25 for lunch a couple of times and for bowling once. I love this place! The menu has a good selection, with a lot of great pizzas, salads, and sandwiches. They also have a "to-die-for" veggie burger that is not on the menu. As for sides, the fried pickle spears are the best I have found in town and rival those from the Carnation Cafe in Disneyland. Yum, yum, yum! The bowling side (only open in the evenings) is super fun. I was there with a group of 15 and we played on two lanes for two hours. When we were on our last game on one of the lanes, our time started running out but because we only had a couple frames to go, they extended our time without charging us extra. We had a group of about a dozen in and out of there tonight. The place looks pretty great, I didn't eat but people said the food was pretty good for a bowling alley, and the scoring system/machine was fun because it included a lot of novelty options. We reserved two lanes and payed for three games which came to $18 per person, including shoe rentals. This came to a total of about $162, because I'm pretty sure nine of us bowled and I think we all payed for the three games. Several people also bought food, and almost everyone bought beer or cider. In total our party easily spent over $300 over the course of two and a half hours. At the end of our last games an employee approached our party and informed us that the bowling alley closes at 11 o'clock (which it happened to be), so we had to quit our games. We asked if we could finish because we were only two frames from completing our game, and one of our friends had six strikes in a row. She refused, but said we could get a refund for the game we didn't finish. We were irritated by this because we were not informed of this policy when purchasing the games and had we been, we would not have started the last game. I approached the counter and asked for a refund for the game that we weren't allowed to finish, which should have been five dollars. The employee then asked me if anyone else would be wanting a refund, to which I replied that I didn't know. She then handed me $6.50, stating that amount would be the total refund for our party of 7 or 8 bowlers that were not allowed to finish games. She told me that we could split that amount between the group because, based on how many frames were played in the final game, that was all that was available for refund. This policy is completely absurd. I'm fairly certain the bowling alley does not sell individual frames, and people do not pay for and begin a game of bowling without the intent to finish. If I were to pay to see a play or a movie, but something went wrong and the show stopped halfway through, would it be reasonable to offer a half refund? Considering how much money our party spent at this establishment you'd think being allowed to take 15 minutes to finish a game of bowling would be a pretty reasonable concession. It should also be known that at about 10 pm my husband and his friend were locked outside after stepping out for about five minutes. I don't know why the employees would lock the door an hour before closing, or lock out paying customers, but if I were the owner I would be very upset that my employees are refusing service to the public for no reason and that they're alienating current customers. I will be calling the manager on Friday to share all of these concerns. read more

Walking in, I thought the place looked promising- especially for a bowling alley bar. I had heard they had a good selection of beer so I walked over while bowling with family next door to grab a couple of beers. But I never bought anything at all because the bartender came out with a bad attitude right off the bat. He was very unhappy about being at work. Then, when I misunderstood his explanation about how I could only order one drink for myself and my wife would have to come get her own ( I was a little distracted by the menu and thought he just wanted to start a tab), he huffed and puffed like it was killing him to have to repeat himself. I might add that I was the only customer in the bar. I was a little shocked by the way he was talking to me, so I said " I guess I was just too dumb to understand", at which he just looked at me and nodded and shrugged. Now, I might fork over eight or ten dollars for a good beer that the owner only paid a dollar or two for since I'm out and they have overhead, but if anyone thinks I'm going to pay that to get treated like crap they are sorely mistaken. We had our wedding reception here February 1st, and everyone had a blast! Bowled for two hours, then played all the other games. Food was delicious (Greek Pizza was a big favorite), beer selection excellent. The younger set appreciated the cider. The staff is friendly, competent, responsive, wonderful!!
