My property came with two ponds, but at the time ponds and Koi were still very new to me, so I began to learn a lot about both from visiting their retail business (Falling Water Gardens) and purchasing for my needs. All along the way I found them to be extremely kind, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Rick was constantly giving me useful information when I'd drop in to get a new fish or buy miscellaneous supplies. Eventually this led me to a consultation at my home to help identify things I could do to create a better environment for my fish. Rick did the consult and was extremely informative, and he made different recommendations for various equipment options, even recommending against certain steps (which I took as a good faith sign that someone is avoiding every possible upsell and instead focused on what's best for their customer). I later decided to contract with Falling Water Designs for both a cleaning of my two ponds (one about 3500g and the other probably 1500g) as well as installation of a UV Sterilizer and Bead Filter for the larger pond where I keep my Koi. As an added challenge, I needed this equipment installed in a way that would make it easy for me to remove it if I needed to move on from the property I'm in now. This also included some landscaping and planting to help hide the equipment. Well, all I have to say is this was one of the best contracting experiences I've ever had. Ken showed up on time and the hustle started immediately. The ponds were drained, my fish were removed carefully and housed safely during the work, both ponds were cleaned for hours, with some added help replanting some overgrowth in submersible pots as well as positioning them, then the equipment installs and planting to hide. They just plain knocked every single step out of the park. Ken then spent time with me going over the equipment operation step by step and offering his help any time I had questions or needed advice to avoid incorrectly operating the equipment. Everything was inspected for leaks and optimal condition before they left, and they cleaned up all their own supplies and any mess and left my property spotless and without any effort needed on my part. The difference in my ponds is unbelievable. I inherited these ponds and they were absolutely filthy, so this was not easy work at all, and I'd have been fooling myself to think I could ever have done anything like this on my own. I'm incredibly thankful for the difference they've made in my landscape and I can't recommend them highly enough. Looking forward to working with them again in the future on other projects! We have never reached out to this business or provided them with our contact information, yet they have been contacting my partner daily to push services. It appears they are actively scraping public government or property records to cold-call local residents. We keep blocking the phone numbers they use, but they just call right back from different lines to continue the daily harassment. Despite making it clear that we are not interested, the invasive disruptions do not stop. This behavior is predatory and incredibly unprofessional.

Santiago and his crew did an amazing job on my project! I had some drainage issues along the back of my yard and decided to have a French drain and raised bed around the perimeter of my yard. These guys came in and dug out about a foot or more of the bad dirt, installed a drain and erected stone blocks for the raised bed and filled in with good quality soil and mulch. The end result looks awesome and I look forward to spending many nights in the back yard looking at how nice it is. The crew worked hard every day, showed up on time and were respectful of my property. We hired Westcoast Nursery in November 2024 to supply and plant several 8- and 12-foot Arborvitae…read moretrees in our side yard. Unfortunately, a couple of the trees were in visibly poor condition at the time of planting, with substantial foliage loss in the lower one-third to one-half of the trees. We raised our concerns and were told that there were no other 10-12-foot trees available, and that with proper watering, the trees would recover and fill in from the bottom during the following growing season. Westcoast Nursery did offer to replace the compromised 8-foot tree, but based on what we were told about the trees recovering, we decided to give them a chance rather than proceed with the replacement. It has now been approximately eight months. We have taken very good care of the trees and followed the recommended watering practices, but there has been little to no improvement in the condition of the compromised 12-foot tree. We have made multiple phone calls and sent multiple emails in an effort to resolve the issue directly with Westcoast Nursery. Unfortunately, we were ultimately told by the owner that she would not do anything further to address our concerns. We were also told that there is no warranty on the trees once they have been planted. This has been very disappointing, particularly because we relied on the information provided to us at the time of purchase and planting. Had we understood that there would be no warranty or remedy after planting, we would have approached the purchase differently. At a minimum, we believe the compromised 12-foot tree should be replaced. More broadly, we feel customers should be made fully aware of the condition of trees before purchasing them, particularly when there is significant foliage loss, rather than being reassured that the trees will recover. **Based on our experience, we recommend that future customers carefully inspect every tree before accepting it, especially larger and more expensive trees. If a tree has significant foliage loss or other visible concerns, we would strongly suggest getting any assurances about its condition, expected recovery, replacement, or warranty in writing before proceeding with the purchase and installation.

We had a nightmare large strip of bamboo, along our driveway, and running on top of our underground utilities, which turned out to be buried less deep than legally required. After a year of chopping cables and only making headway on our bank account, not on controlling the bamboo, the other company suggested ripping it out. And then gave us basically a "no bid" and walked away. Calluna's came in, locked in a reasonable bid, outlined the work, reassured us constantly that they were looking forward to getting it done, showed up only a week later, spent only 3 days, carefully hand digging around utilities, then skillfully backhoeing, finally finishing up and cleaning up much better than we could have imagined. Even the neighbors are making positive comments. The driveway strip has never looked better. We have to let it lie fallow for a year while we chase down straggler rhizomes, but it already looks better than it has since we moved in many years ago. The Calluna's bid was very reasonable and they went above and beyond what they outlined in the bid, and were a pleasure to work with. Call them for a bid! You will not regret it!

Rescheduled, but did not show up to the new date, nor respond to my email asking for clarification. Just left me hanging. He clearly decided he did not want to do my irrigation project, but instead of communicating, he strung me along and made promises he never intended to keep. To completely ghost me and not even respond after agreeing to do the project is some of the most unprofessional behavior I've ever encountered. If he doesn't want to do my project, fine. Just be a decent human and tell me. Now I am several weeks behind on my project. Please save yourself weeks of headache and choose a different company!
