They are good for most things but do not use their winter mower service. I paid the commercial mower price $269.00 that they say it includes the following: * Clean or Change Air Filter * Change Oil & Filter * Change Spark Plug(s) & Fuel Filter * Sharpen Blade(s) * Lubricate/ Grease * Check Deck Level (*level charge may apply) *Commercial Mowers * Check - Test Battery/ Clean Post & Terminals * Check RPM's (*RPM set charge may apply) * Check and Adjust Tire Pressure * Pressure Wash Unit I understand that it may not need all of the services but not even washing it or sharpening the blades? Makes me wonder if they even did anything... Please judge by the pictures attached and come to your own conclusion. read more

Beware!!! I bought Echo mower from them 6 mos. ago and returned it for help because it had stopped suddenly while I was mowing. They said a bolt was loose, but they would need to do diagnostic to ck everything else out. When I inquired they said the loose bolt kept it from starting, & claimed that warranty claim was denied, even though the mower was sold as preassembled by manufacturer & only 6 mos. old. He refused to refund the diagnostic fee, and he yelled and tried to intimidate me when I was dissatisfied with their refusal to refund the diagnostic fee on a mower only 6 mos. old that he told me in beginning that it had a loose bolt. No lie, when I walk in I feel like part of the team lol. No I'm not feeling like I'm working. They just speak to me every single time I walk in. Occasionally ask if I need help and about 80% of the time I don't but that's cool. I'm in there probably 2-3x a month. If they don't have something I need in stock, it usually can be found at the other Ace store on Reidville Rd. I don't prefer one or the other but Ace Hardware has always been super helpful with everything I need. read more

Had lawnmower serviced , not satisfied, front wheels will not operate in self propelled mode

I was looking for some stone to build a fire pit in my backyard. They have plenty of kits to do this but for some inexplicable reason they do not sell the blocks individually. I don't need some monstrosity, and I want to be able to customize. No ability to do so here. Not sure how they have stayed in business since 1991 with such a rigid sales formula, but apparently they have. Nice selection of stuff but it looks like everything is a kit. Not interested. read more
