I had them repair a snowblower of mine that wasn't working quite properly. I was charged…read moreapproximately $400 to fix what was probably a minor problem on a snowblower that cost me $800 originally new. When I got the machine back I found that there was a stripped screw on the auger belt drive pulley on the guard above it. I spoke with the folks at the service department there they said they were going to take care of it and frankly they never did and then ghosted me. This was 2 years ago I have since learned to fix my own machine as a result. Today I took it apart to try and see if anything needed replacing for the winter and out of the bottom of the machine fell the screw that was stripped and the two washers that went with it. The guy who dropped them in there didn't even bother to retrieve them he just closed everything up and thought everything was fine. Over the past winter my machine would not engage and disengage properly. Probably because those parts got under the break for the auger break and forced it into place causing my belts to burn. I spent most of the winter with an auger that I could not disengage and didn't find this out until today. I can't say enough about learning to fix things yourself because going to Bentley Brothers isn't going to get the job done.

Today I was looking for some bolts for my lawnmower handle and wasn't sure if I'd find them...but I did! I also bought a Carhartt jacket a year ago which was very reasonably priced. Most of their merchandise doesn't apply to me living in the suburbs, but any further out is farm country and they are good for any necessities someone working the land could need in a pinch. The stores are strategically placed to form a circle around Rochester, so there should be one near you. The staff have always been friendly and I have never had occasion to bring back anything I have purchased. I did witness one woman returning some birdseed that had gone bad and they refunded her money on the spot...no questions asked. Can't say it any better than that. So, definitely check it out, especially in the spring when the chicks are hatching!

My husband had his beautiful shiny red snow plow (that he kept covered in our attached garage for…read morethe ten years we've owned it), picked up by Brodner's to have the starter changed. We kept calling and calling to see if it was ready, to get it back, but it was never ready. Finally, they said since it was summer, and they were doing so many lawn mowers that people needed right away, would we mind waiting? To be agreeable, my husband said sure. In the Fall, we were delivered, when neither of us was home to receive it, "our" snow plow- except it wasn't ours. It was the same brand and type of plow, but it was rusty and dented, with old rusted wheels, and ours was sparkly brand new- looking. My husband called to try to get our rightful plow back, and they said it was ours. It is not! BEWARE! Keep your model number number handy, if you need a repair, so you can identify your equipment! I am fair, and to be fair, this rusty snow plow does start up and run. But it's still not ours. I wonder who has ours...

It is said that the only thing of value a man has to offer in this world is " his word". In Ken's…read morecase that turned out to be worthless. Ken quoted me a proposal to plow my driveway which was a one time charge for the season. When I received the contract I told him that I was interested in a per trip charge, as I believe this is the fairest for both parties. He reluctantly agreed an sent an amended proposal which I accepted, signed and returned. He in turn sent an email thanking me for the business and accepting the contract. This was in October2024. In November 2024 he then tells me that he will not honor the contract. When I remind him that therE may be consequences for breaking a contract, he then says OK "I will do it for this year but not next year". When my driveway didn't get staked as specified in the contract, I contacted Ken, he said at that time, per trip contracts do their own staking. At this point is was becoming increasingly clear that Ken had no intention of honoring his word OR the written contract.. I have contacted him via text messaging to clean up my driveway AT HIS CONVENIENCE. He has not come!! I URGE YOU TO DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE THAT HAVE ESTABLISHED TRUST, WITHIN THIS COMMIUNITY.
