I was charged…read moreapproximately $400 to fix what was probably a minor problem on a snowblower that cost me $800 originally new. When I got the machine back I found that there was a stripped screw on the auger belt drive pulley on the guard above it. I spoke with the folks at the service department there they said they were going to take care of it and frankly they never did and then ghosted me. This was 2 years ago I have since learned to fix my own machine as a result. Today I took it apart to try and see if anything needed replacing for the winter and out of the bottom of the machine fell the screw that was stripped and the two washers that went with it. The guy who dropped them in there didn't even bother to retrieve them he just closed everything up and thought everything was fine. Over the past winter my machine would not engage and disengage properly. Probably because those parts got under the break for the auger break and forced it into place causing my belts to burn. I spent most of the winter with an auger that I could not disengage and didn't find this out until today. I can't say enough about learning to fix things yourself because going to Bentley Brothers isn't going to get the job done.

Today I was looking for some bolts for my lawnmower handle and wasn't sure if I'd find them...but I did! I also bought a Carhartt jacket a year ago which was very reasonably priced. Most of their merchandise doesn't apply to me living in the suburbs, but any further out is farm country and they are good for any necessities someone working the land could need in a pinch. The stores are strategically placed to form a circle around Rochester, so there should be one near you. The staff have always been friendly and I have never had occasion to bring back anything I have purchased. I did witness one woman returning some birdseed that had gone bad and they refunded her money on the spot...no questions asked. Can't say it any better than that. So, definitely check it out, especially in the spring when the chicks are hatching!

In the Fall, we were delivered, when neither of us was home to receive it, "our" snow plow- except it wasn't ours. It was the same brand and type of plow, but it was rusty and dented, with old rusted wheels, and ours was sparkly brand new- looking. My husband called to try to get our rightful plow back, and they said it was ours. It is not! BEWARE! Keep your model number number handy, if you need a repair, so you can identify your equipment! I am fair, and to be fair, this rusty snow plow does start up and run. But it's still not ours. I wonder who has ours...

They do not provide a definite delivery date so that was a bit concerning. For an extra charge, you can have the wood stacked for you. I opted to have the wood dumped abd we stacked it ourselves. The delivery should be confirmed the night before is the only complaint I have. As I received a text in the morning requesting the driveway be clear for delivery. Luckily, it wasn't an issue for us today. Happy with the quality of the wood though and would order again in the future.
