Back in 2018 I had ordered a big bore kit, a ported head, and cams from BP racing. I called to…read moreconfirm everything would fit my 2018 yamaha grizzly, they said it would, everything showed up and I brought it into a shop to be assembled, and none of it was for my model year. So I got a hold of them and worked out that I could send in my whole motor and they would custom build it. All within the 90 day return window. We'll a couple months to by so I call them and they couldn't find any of my stuff. Then they find it and say they will start on it. So another couple months go by and I call and the mechanic they had is no longer with the company and the new guy has to find my engine. Don't hear back for another month. Well now covid hits and they say it's going to take a while because they're basically shut down. So I give them 6 months with a little bit of communicating and no progress. Finally covid finishes up and I contact them again and they have no idea what I'm talking about with my engine. So I threaten legal action and we finally get rolling with progress. Turns out the casing was too thin to be made into a big bore. They port out my head and offer to cover custom valves. Another 2 months with no update. I call and after about a week of back and forth I demand the info to contact kimblewhite to get direct updates on my valves. They had no idea what I was talking about. I get this all figured out and turns out the ported head won't work because the valves go too deep into the head. So the head is destroyed. Valves are useless because there +2mm and nothing happens with the cams. By now we are over 24 months my quad was in the shop and I was out over 2 grand on motor parts, and I had to pay for a completely new head, shop fees, insurance for the quad because it was under a loan, and make loan payments the entire 2 years that they basically stole my motor. By now the owner and I are Well acquainted and he's offered a full refund and I just want to cut my losses. Well then they hired this new gm to try and fix the company image. (That's what this new guy is telling me.) And he has the audacity to say I should be thankful I'm getting a refund because we're outside the 90 day window. Just otherworldly incompetence and zero awareness to the situation. He was extremely cocky and said he had my refund check and I just needed to text him my address ai he could send it. I texted him while we were on the phone and asked if he recieved the text. He brushed over it and said he'd send the check right away. I never got that check. But I was having my first child, moving into a new house, and I just had enough of them. Besides the 2 years they stole my parts I paid Well over $10k just to get to know these guys. I can't say enough how nobody should ever purchase from this company.

Shop replaced clutch plates, but the next time I rode the bike the clutch went out completely. Had it towed and returned to the shop. They repaired it again, no charge. A week or so later I left for the Canada trip. Clutch went out on me AGAIN in Soledad, CA on day one of the trip. Cost a pretty penny to get it in and out of a shop in Gilroy the next day. Brian said he would reimburse me. Long story short, he never did and I had to sue him. Won the suit, now I have to collect the money. Based on his previous actions, I'm guessing I will have to collect the judgment via a Writ of Execution.

It sounds great and was pretty much exactly what I was looking for without having any prior knowledge and only being able to express what I wanted with extreme layman's terms lol. The not so good: As mentioned above, I don't know anything about car stereo systems, so this may be an industry standard that I'm not aware of and I may be complaining about nothing, but I find it odd that the subwoofer is not mounted or attached to anything, it's loose in my cargo area. At worst, this seems like a major safety hazard, and at best it seems like an inconvenience should the thing tip over and pull its own wires out which could potentially damage it as well. In addition, I would have liked to have been walked through the installation process, as I don't think I would have agreed to having such a large subwoofer and enclosure in the cargo space as I use the space with the seats down to transport materials and power tools quite often. Currently, this is not possible as the subwoofer takes up considerable space in the cargo area, limiting my ability to put pretty much anything bigger than a shopping bag back there. I will say that I came in a bit late, about 5:30PM and was getting done wrapping up with the payment at almost 6, so this entire installation took place in about an hour, which normally I would applaud anyone for such expedient work, except it seemed more like a rush to make a sale than to do the entire process right from start to finish. I would have been happy to come in the next day if more time was needed. A bit more transparency for a newbie like myself would have been appreciated with perhaps some options for retaining my cargo area space. I was asked for some pretty sensitive information (SSN, bank account and routing numbers) with no explanation on why it was needed, only to find that I was being signed up for financing multiple times across multiple platforms to see which would approve me for the highest $ amount. If I was asked if I was looking for financing or to pay up front, the answer would have been upfront. Financing wasn't necessary. I ended up agreeing because I was told on Fridays there is a 10% discount if you finance, but I'm unsure if that ended up getting applied as I only financed $300/~$1300 I paid, 1080 was paid upfront. Overall, the employees seem skilled and knowledgeable, but the customer service could use a little work.
