I admit I'm a snob when it comes to dining out. Ideally, it will be either an extremely upscale meal that I would never bother to prepare at home, or ethnic food (which, come to think of it, I wouldn't make at home simply because I don't know how to!). And either way it needs to consist of "real" food, mostly fruits and vegetables, nothing processed. Landmark grill is a sort of café/borderline greasy spoon spot (though it does have Greek roots!), so definitely the sort of place I wouldn't actively seek out. However, I am making an effort to be less domineering about restaurant selection, and found myself here for breakfast last Sunday. I know this is silly, but the sign, first, is just incredibly incongruous with the rest of the eatery. I mildly hate it, but whatever. Their interior is on the small to medium side, consisting of a few four tops, booths along the walls, and maybe 5 or 6 seats at the bar. There are also tables available outside, so that's cool for nice weather. We were seated at a booth, and the booths themselves seem too elevated, so that you are forced to hunch over the table or else feel like you're reaching ten feet down to fork your food. I'm short, so it was an odd sensation. There are quite a few options on the menu, though they are mostly all variations on common café-style breakfast and lunch entrees. Of note were a few that included lamb, and six eggs benedict varieties. For lunch, it was all sandwiches, burgers, and salads. I ordered The Palmerosa Omelet, which consisted of chicken, tomato, bacon, spinach, jalapeños, and feta, with hash browns and pancakes (or toast) on the side. I was pleasantly surprised as the omelet was large, not too greasy, and spicy! The best part was the melty, creamy feta cheese. I requested extra crispy hash browns, which was a good move, and I enjoyed them more than I usually do. I don't think they salt anything, but happily there is salt along with ketchup and hot sauce on the tables, so make good use of 'em! The pancake was fine. I appreciated the crispy exterior, but the interior was not as fluffy or melt-in-your mouth as I like, and the maple syrup wasn't real. It also would have been improved by a side of fresh butter rather than prepackaged pats. My husband had The Country Greek, consisting of layers of hash browns, American and Swiss cheese, country fried steak, eggs, and white gravy. As a whole, it is a bit much, but the smidge of steak I tried was fine, if unexceptional. He had coffee too, and said it was better than a lot of other diners in the area, but not spectacular (not that anyone should expect that here). Leo was our server, and he was excellent! Super friendly and upbeat, checked back on us plenty, and between himself and another server they kept our waters and coffee filled perfectly. Food was served super quick and piping hot. All the staff were really great, and they get a big fat A+. So in the end, while this is not my particular cup of tea, for what it is, it's a fine spot. The majority of our dishes felt freshly-prepared, and for those who enjoy this style of food, I think you will be pleased. Prices are right at an average of $10 a plate. I probably would have gone with three stars, but bumping it up to 4 due to superior customer service. read more

Went to this place on Mother's Day for our first time. Place was packed and had a bit of a wait but it was well worth it. I can't say enough about how well the staff take care of you and the food was amazing. Definitely going back. The staff on a very busy day ran this place like a well oiled machine. Went for brunch with my niece today. The wait was really short, however you can get your name on the list before you get there so that's cool. The service was amazing. Super friendly host and server! I had the smothered breakfast burrito. The homemade chili verde is AMAZING. I should have ordered a side of it because there could have been more on the burrito. My sweet wife and I visited the Landmark Grill fairly early on Saturday morning, expecting a waiting line. We were seated right away, as the place was about 90% full. Our waiter was very attentive and definitely earned his gratuity. We had a difficult time deciding what to order, since there were a large amount of items and they all sounded great. They even had biscuits and gravy, which my sweetie and I shared like an appetizer. They weren't as good as Mama's sausage gravy and biscuits back in Tennessee but we were still happy to have them. Our food was served quickly and everything was hot. ...very nice! This is one of the few places where you can order eggs over-medium and they're done correctly! The atmosphere was nice. Everyone in the dining room appeared to be enjoying themselves. You can choose to eat out on the patio if you'd prefer. We WILL make the Landmark Grill one of our regular drop-in places when we want really good food and great service at a decent price. Heck, I might go back there NEXT Saturday morning! It was just okay. Nothing amazing or to write home about. We thought ordering something from the Greek Breakfasts would be nothing but amazing because it was their specialty. We ordered the Cretan, because the patties were made in-house according to our server. She recommended it. Once the food arrived, took one bite and was disappointed. There wasn't anything wow about it. Lamb & Beef blend was bland. And topping the whole dish with feta cheese was eh. We also had the daily special of biscuits and gravy with bacon & eggs. It different. I was expecting the usual gravy to be a sausage gravy but it wasn't, it was like a lemony & herb flavored gravy. I didn't really enjoy it. The biscuits were great, nice and pillowy. What a great find ! I'm fairly new to the area so lucky to find my favorite breakfast place. Many options in the menu , with consistent cooks working in the kitchen. Such a friendly and attentive staff -- coffee cup never goes empty. There are lunch specials but I haven't really tried the menu during those hours. A little pricey I feel but consistent with a lot of the other chain breakfast places. Give it a try but get there early (especially on weekends) because the parking lot will be full and sometimes the dining area is standing room only, awaiting for a seat (pre-pandemic). In a town where good brunch/breakfast places are few and far between I can see why this place is rated as high as it is, but I wasn't as impressed. I thought it was just average. The servers are kind and the food was cooked just as we asked. But the flavors were pretty muted. It's a step above a greasy spoon so it has that going for it. I went to lunch with my mom here and that pretty much tells you everything you need to know. It's a place your mom will love. You know, neighborhood joint, food isn't too fancy, and the server will call you "hun" sometimes. We rolled in for lunch, and they have breakfast and lunch foods available. That's a big plus, when you can get breakfast in the middle of the day. It's only open for breakfast and lunch, so the menu is simple and tight. Since I tend to order things that places are "known for" or that are their "signature dish" I went with Nick's Roundhouse Breakfast. The menu says "Home of Nick's Roundhouse Breakfast" and that felt like the right decision. Hash browns layered with bacon, sausage links, ham, swiss and american cheese, served with two eggs on top and a side of either pancakes or toast. If it sounds like a lot, it's because it is. But for $10 you get stuffed with breakfast. I remember thinking at the time how meaty it was, but how glad I was for the pancakes to break up the savory with a little sweet. Honestly, it's not the fanciest or most unique breakfast--it's pretty standard--but it's the most complete breakfast you can come up with. Their breakfast menu has all the usual suspects--pancakes, french toast, egg scrambles, omelets, and benedicts. But if I have my facts straight, the place was owned by a Greek family, had roots to an older restaurant from SLC's past, changed ownership recently, but you have a Greek breakfast menu, and the lunch menu is pretty straight forward with melts, sandwiches, and burgers. Our service was really swift and didn't say much, but when you're spending family quality time, that's okay. It's a really nice stop and a unique enough offering in this part of the valley to really appreciate. This restaurant has a very open and cozy feel. I love all the natural lightening and overall cleanliness of the place. We were greeted the second we opened the door and promptly seated. I personally would have preferred a little stronger coffee, but I can't deduct stars for something that small. Our waitress did provide various creamer options and went out of her way to give our daughter a paper and pen to stay occupied, without our request by the way, while we waited for our meals. We truly appreciated that level of kindness. I tried a few bites of my husbands smothered burrito and it made me regret not ordering one as well, But I am still pleased with Greek omelette I ordered. My family and I were very satisfied with the portions and prices, highly recommend this place for your next breakfast spot! read more

I'm normally not one to leave a review but this place deserves it! they seated us very fast even though they were super busy. we sat down and they immediately got us drinks. our waitress Cat was so nice and had great service. technically all of the staff was extremely nice! the food was SO good and they brought it out fast! loved that they brought the kid food out first so I had time to cut it and then they brought mine out. most restaurants bring all the food out at once so by the time I'm done cutting two kids plates my food is cold. this was such a nice change!! We used to frequent this restaurant when it was George's in the hospital near the University of Utah. Coming back was a nostalgic event! My husband, of course, had the Roundhouse breakfast, and I tried something new the BTA eggs Benedict. Both were delicious, service was fast, and the server kept our coffees hot and filled. While the food was good the service lacked. The girls were just that "girls". They would rather converse then serve. Also they really liked giving my boyfriend attention. I thought it was quite funny tbh. I know they live off tips as the wage is very low however the straight rudeness and ignoring of the spouse is just rude. I had to ask for coffee. Then after they would ask my bf if he needed a refill never asking me or making eye contact. When we left he said "every time I looked up them girls were staring at me...." Yeah I noticed. However I am not so insecure to let it ruin the experience. Honestly I thought it was funny and they looked a bit desperate. One girl talked of her husband and she was the nicest one. Kinda funny... so if you are the jealous type I'd recommend you finding another place to eat. If you are like me and find it absolutely entertaining please come here. The foods pretty good. The service kinda sucks and there is free entertainment. I did feel bad about the older couple that Linley got cold food due to the servers hanging out before taking their lunch over... Idk if it's the owner or manager but he got their salad dressing served up for the servers and they still left their food sitting in the window for sometime. Not the way I'd allow my staff to behave.
