[sigh] Well, I called a couple local outfits and Dave's Electric answered. He and his associate arrived, looked at it and said they could do it: Service call + some labor fees. They had actually just installed the same, exact ceiling fan for another customer a couple days prior to mine, so they new some of the issues that could arise with this particular model. They had the fan up and running in short order. The total was $110, which is, I think, less than if I had Lowe's install the thing in the place. I highly recommend these guys.

I've now discovered from other professionals in the field that the roof ventilation CNC Electric installed benefitted our situation about as good as a hole in the wall. The roof vents were drawing air from unventilated space. So in the end it was just moving warm air around, not actually pushing it out and replacing it with cooler air. Furthermore, trash from the vents was left behind the walls of our attic and a large access hole was not patched up. I feel duped by CNC Electric. Insulation was the way to go all along, but that wouldn't have made them any money.

I had really been struggling with this and it was very satisfying watching someone with 20 years experience come in and handle my project quickly and efficiently. But finally, a couple of weeks ago, two highly skilled men came to my room to assist with the issue and invested hours of time addressing the complex process of completely fixing the equipment and cleaning out clogged piping above the unit. They had to do a lot of problem solving because of our attic space and roof line but we ended up with a heating and cooling system that works very well for our home. They told me once the work was done, to plug my car in to make sure it was working correctly. It wasn't. The tech was cold and in a hurry to leave-- making zero attempts to solve the problem. Instead, stating "it's probably because your car is fully charged", as to why the charger was not indicating it was charging. I ran the battery down on my vehicle, to attempt charging again. However, the charger still did not indicate it was charging, when plugged in. Bickimer expected me to troubleshoot the issue myself, asking me to flip the breaker, and when that didn't work, telling me to open the charger up and make sure everything was how it should be. After telling them I was uncomfortable doing that, they agreed to come out and address the issue. That agreement was quickly negated when they decided they THINK the issue is within the charger itself, and not a problem with the install. To which, they say they will need to wait for the replacement part, and to let them know when it comes, and then they will come back to fix the issue. A little over a week later, the part arrived, I reached out to Bickimer to get the charger fixed--now they want $295 to do so! So now, unless I pay an additional $295, I'm stuck with an EV charger, hardwired into my home that does not fully function, and will not indicate whether it is charging or not. In addition to this-- Bickimer is very unprofessional. The techs did not arrive until nearly 40 minutes after our scheduled appointment time-- no notice given. Once things go south, Spencer will refer to you however he wants and blame it on talk to text. Good luck getting Mike to hold a conversation and face the situation. He'll leave it to his front desk girl, Briana, who is so disorganized that she'll reach out to you several times to schedule, once you're already scheduled. Don't get me started on the mess they left behind on my wall! I highly suggest you don't spend your hard earned dollars at this company, and advise your clients not to spend theirs here either!

They quickly diagnosed & fixed a wiring issue in an old fixture, and went above and beyond, replacing the fixture with one I had previously purchased. They even worked in a whole house Safety Inspection for my 1950's ranch, after I approved the quote. I would definitely call them again.
