I'm going through my third pregnancy and started having a weird numbness/tingling feeling in my right thigh. OB said it was a pinched nerve so I decided to find a chiropractor that does prenatal care. Dr Janes has been a lifesaver-I've been going for awhile now and the numbness has pretty much subsided. Let me first say I came here for the first time last week and saw Dr. Anastasia. She was kind, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. She knew exactly what the problem was even though I didn't. I was in tremendous amount of pain and left feeling 95% better. I can't say enough good things about her. We talked extensively about labor and delivery because that is what I do. So to her I give 5+ stars. I would see her for any concern. She was fantastic! However, today I saw Dr James and had a horrible experience. I think his chiropractic skills are probably good but his people skills are horrible. Not sure if he was having a bad day or this is his norm. I am a nurse and am used to working with doctors. I wouldn't put up with this treatment in my professional life and I will not be seeing Dr. James again. He insinuated that I was lying about my activity level and also was rude and condescending about not icing my back. If I knew I was supposed to I would have. There was more but I will spare you. This again is MY experience with Dr James and not basing it on any other person. I highly recommend Dr. Anastasia though. read more

My infant daughter and I have been seeing Dr. Anastasia Lander for almost a year. Besides the success we have seen it's the atmosphere that is most notable. You feel like you are one of the family very quickly. Everyone is kind and welcoming. One time here was a scheduling error and the employee took responsibility apologized and fixed it in a matter of minutes. Everything is personalized to your needs. Dr. A even picked which of her (all excellent) massage therapists would be best for my specific need. But most importantly I felt safe and I trust Lander Chiropractic. Which is super important when you are putting your new baby in their hands. Watching Dr. A work with my daughter is like watching magic. My daughter had (past tense thanks to Dr. A) a lot of issues with digestion, including projectile spit up and sleep. She was often fussy and almost always tense. Dr. A would basically from an untrained eye look like she was loving on her. My daughter would spit up, poop and then her whole body would relax. She would sometimes sigh and even smile. Dr. A wouldn't care about the mess she would then hug and kiss and joke with my daughter. Then give me as much time as I needed to feed her and change her. I was never rushed. I have been to several chiropractors and physical therapists over the last 5 years or so. I found Dr. James Lander this year through reviews and he has helped me with lower back pain. His approach is to try a few things he thinks will work rather than overwhelm you with a lot of different things at once. Not only does he give me adjustments, he helps me understand what I was probably doing to cause my pain (too much sitting). He has also given me a few exercises and stretches to do to help counteract the effects of the sitting. Overall, I feel he conducts a more of a complete assessment and approach to problem solving than others I have gone to. I have chosen to continue to see him for more routine adjustments and I have had a massage there (the massage was great and affordable). Our four year old son was recently diagnosed with autism. He is completely non-verbal. Even though the diagnosis was recent, we have been his advocate for over 3 years. The diagnosis has been a horrible and drawn out process with very little answers. Has a special needs parent, you are constantly at doctors during the day, and googling for answers at night, always hoping something will click and help your child. Well, little did I know that we were about to meet one of the most informative doctors we have found on our long journey. On our very first visit, she asked us questions that none of the 20 doctors we have seen asked. She changed our probiotic. Not only did she tell us we needed to change it, she explained why. She asked about him having a tongue tie. NOT ONE OTHER PERSON ASKED US THIS QUESTION. We have seen some incredible improvements with him. He is genuinely happier, and doesn't have the same digestive issues. We have him setup now to go to an ENT and they are going to remove his tongue tie. She is so genuinely concerned with our son. He is not just a number. She spends time with him and truly earns his trust. He has even tried to take her home with us. That is an incredible show of trust for an autistic child. Short review: This place is amazing. Dr. A explains the why and the what behind our pain. She makes me want to become a chiropractor so that I may help others too. She told us about Good Circle Insurance so our family can get treatment that we can afford. Our full story: I went through 41.5 hours of labor to have my son. He was a terrible sleeper from the start. He would only sleep in our arms and my husband and I would take turns holding him through the night. When he turned one month old, he became colicky. Every night at 7pm, he'd cry so hard he'd turn red for an hour. It was heartbreaking. The pediatrician said there was nothing to do, but wait for it to pass. As he grew, he would fight us for naps and arch his back. He'd cry a lot during the day and just wanted to be held. The pediatrician said to let him cry it out and that some babies cry more than others. When he started waking up every 1.5-2 hours, we went to another pediatrician. He was around nine months at this point, was trying to walk, and already had eight teeth. I figured he wasn't sleeping well because of teething, milestones, and leaps. We'd give him tylenol when he was teething and it didn't help. This second pediatrician also said to let him cry it out, but to hold him and comfort him because it's hard being a baby and he needs to tell us how he feels. We tried the Jay Gordon of night weaning and we all slept even worse. I was stressed, depressed, over tired, and this whole time, knew in my gut that something was wrong with him. I'd spend hours on the internet because I knew there was an answer out there and I hadn't found it yet. I would asked everyone I met for advice and it was always cry it out. I reached out to our doula and she recommended the chiropractor. I had been to several different chiros and the last time I went was early in my pregnancy when my hip was hurting. Two adjustments put it back in alignment, but I wasn't explained why I should keep coming back or to bring my baby. I had never heard of taking a baby to the chiro so I googled "baby chiropractor." After I read the first article I clicked on, I knew I had found our answer. We yelped "pediatric chiropractor" and Lander Chiropractic was the closest one. I called and made an appointment because I had nothing to lose but some money. They didn't have any appointments until the next week, which was fine because we've spent 9 months without sleep- what's another week? A few hours after, the receptionist called and said that Doctor Anastasia was willing to come in early the next morning to help us. It turns out the baby's back was as tight as a metal rod caused by traumatic labor. No wonder he would arch his back, only want to nurse on his side as soon as he could roll over, cry bloody murder in the middle of the night, and fight us over diaper changes. Dr. A said that it would be a while before we saw an improvement because his bones were more solid than a newborn's. After his very first treatment, we noticed our baby seemed much happier. I asked what would have happened if we never came in. Dr. A said he would complain of back pain when he was four or five. Our baby's spine now has movement to it, and I could feel the bumps of the spine within a few adjustments. It surprised me when I was playing with him and rubbed his back because I never felt that before. He has been getting treatments for two months now and his back is like night and day from when we first came in. Our baby is almost one and nurses 2-4 times a night. He will lay on his back and play- something he's never done! I'm tearing up as I write this review because I can't express how difficult the first nine months of my baby's life was. There were many times I thought having a baby was the worst decision I ever made. I also get adjustments as the stress has taken a toll on my body. I didn't even realize I was in pain because I had been worrying about the baby so much. Dr. A also treats me and I saw Trisha, one of the massage therapists. She told me that I get headaches because I clench my jaw. She worked out all the knots and I haven't had a headache since. My husband sees Dr. James. They have a quote on the wall "The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease. -Thomas Edison." I really wish our culture and our health insurance plan valued chiropractic care. I don't know what I've done in my life to deserve to find this practice. The Landers changed my life!! I found Lander Chiropractic after years of chronic upper back pain. Previous chiropractors had told me that this was just the way my body would always be; a discouraging diagnosis for a new mom. On my first visit with Dr. Anastasia she told me that she was interested in finding the root of my issues and that after one examination she believed that someday I could be pain free. I couldn't believe that I actually had hope of getting better, and felt angry that no one had ever taken the time to at least try to figure out what was causing my pain! It took a bit of time, but several months later I realized I hadn't had back pain in a long time. My posture was better than it had ever been and my body had retrained itself to use its muscles correctly. I also had developed serious tailbone discomfort after the birth of my first child to the point where I couldn't sit comfortably - so sad for a nursing mom who just wants to cuddle her child. Dr. Anastasia came up with a plan to work on my tailbone once I was pregnant again - so when I got pregnant with my 2nd child we worked hard. She did adjustments; I did exercises and stretches. I prepared myself for an unmedicated birth so that I could be more aware and intentional with how I moved my body during labor. I had my baby (2.5 hours, no meds... the best!) and my tailbone stayed in position! I'm now 4 months postpartum and my tailbone is still in place, I can sit comfortably for the first time in almost 3 years, and I'm enjoying lots of snuggle time with my baby without being in pain. I'm so glad I found Dr. Anastasia Lander! It was suggested to us that the baby see a chiropractor because a friend had done it. I looked into it and at the time Rosemary had a been spitting up after every feeding, more than what I have seen in other babies. Also, because I read that babies sometimes have birth injuries from vaginal delivery. I went on yelp and found Lander Chiropractic. I was nervous at our first appointment. Dr Anastasia was wonderful, she explained everything she was going to do. Rosemary was tight in her neck and lower back and her spitting problem has gotten way better! I recently had the opportunity to visit Dr. Lander for an adjustment. I was very impressed with the level of service and the quality of treatment I received. The issue I was having in my lower back disappeared during the session and has not returned. I've visited a number of chiropractors over the years, but none of them have impressed me as much as Dr. Lander. The testing and exercises you are put through prior to treatment being administered were extremely thorough. One thing I really liked, is contrary to visits to other chiropractors, at no time did I feel rushed or like we had to finish because my "treatment time" was almost up. Went in to see dr Anastasia today. I was looking for someone who specializes in pregnancy and Webster technique. She was amazing. Very friendly and was very gentle. The office is also very kid friendly which is a huge plus bc I had to take mine with me. They have a big waiting area with lots of toys for them. My kids were occupied the whole time.
