I got a text from the spa and remembered that I wanted to review this a few years ago when I got a laser treatment done for my upper lip. I got my 6 upper lip treatments done for $400 (back in 2017). The second time it was done, she burned my skin and had to continue the rest of the sessions using the lowest laser. Each time I came in, Gabriella kept remarking how "white" my upper lip looked- honestly, I didn't see a difference. 3 years later, my upper lip hair still grows back at its normal amount. I hoped after at least 6 treatments the hair growth would lesson and it didn't. Also- I do have to comment on Gabriella's character- while she has never been dismissive and rude to me as described in the other comments, I could very well see how she could have behaved in those ways. I would definitely recommend going elsewhere that is more professional and ensures results. read more

Yikes. Run from this place. I wish I could say good things. The place is in what feels like an old High School Building. It's borderline creepy. The staff was speaking what I assume was Portuguese, the entire time. That's a little off-putting to all the clients waiting there. They would go back to English when it came time to discuss things with clients. It just felt like there were things they didn't want you to know. Beware the HARD sell. They ask you tons of questions to get you to commit to a number of their treatments. They try and sell you on alot of things, when they can't do the treatment you came for, correctly. My experience with LandaMed Spa was FAR different than the positive reviews I had read before purchasing laser services. After completing 3 treatments, I experienced not a single hair fall out. I understand the treated area is hormonal and results vary, but when I asked about it, I was told it was because of ingrown hairs that I wasn't treating with the products she sells. I also left every appointment feeling like my time was absolutely wasted. I would arrive a few minutes early, if not right on time and wouldn't make it into the room until at least 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I felt that as a Groupon customer, I was treated with less respect, and the technician made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I was also never able to book an appointment during the posted business hours, even when attempting to book a month or two in advance. Working full time in Boston, I purchased treatments with LandaMed Spa based on the posted business hours of Saturday by appointment and claims to be open until 7 pm on Monday and Tuesdays. The latest time I could schedule on a Monday was 5:30, and I was very frustrated as this required me to leave work early to make it in time to my appointment, only to wait in the waiting room for quite some time after my scheduled treatment time. I will not be wasting my time any longer and will not be continuing with the 3 remaining treatments. I have requested a refund from LandaMed Spa, but their customer service has failed to address my request. I wish I could leave a zero star, as the only positive experience I had with LandaMed Spa was I never had an issue with parking. read more

Received a groupon gift for 6 laser removal sessions, and after 2 sessions i am seeing significant improvements on my hair growth rate. It has definitely slowed it down, and hopefully they will be gone by the time i finish with my 6th appointment. Another great thing, is the dark pigmentation on my armpit skin has gone away! I would not recommend Landa MedSpa. The owner Gabriella is very aggressive and flip flops on her pricing. I purchased a laser hair removal package. When the package was complete I was told I needed more laser hair removal and I would be charged the same as my first package. I arrived for my first appointment. The assistant tried to charge me more because my client chart price was altered and handwritten in. I showed my Venmo receipt with the price I paid. Rather than honor it Gabriella yelled at me saying prices have gone up. She tried to bully me. Once I said I'm done and left, she followed me to the elevator and continued to insist on a higher price. Gabriella in extremely unprofessional. She consistently tries to upsell. Gabriella Landa the owner is so knowledgeable and amazing at what she does. I've been going for IPL Photo facials, the results are wonderful. I had a lot of sun damage and very bad rosacea which causes red broken capillaries, after only four sessions I've seen very noticeable results with both sun spots and redness. I bought a groupon for an extra large area and was VERY disappointed. I just had my 5th treatment and am not all too impressed with the results. There is still constant hair growth and I still need to shave almost every day, though the hair does grow back thinner and softer. The results are not what made me give this salon only 2 stars. Every single time I come in, I wait on average a half hour to be seen for a 5 minute session. Also, the owner and receptionist correspond in another language while you are sitting in the waiting room and it is extremely rude and unprofessional. I even heard my name once, so I knew they were talking about me. One of the worst parts was the hard sell of products. I spent $250 at the salon for this groupon, which I could have spent somewhere else. The owner did just about everything she could to get me to buy the products short of reaching into my wallet herself. Come on... One other thing I'd like to emphasize is to shave the day of the treatment. The receptionist told me it was ok to shave the night before my treatment. I did this for treatment 1 and was told it was not good enough. Soooo Iow and behold I had to pay $15 for a woman to shave me. It was a lovely day. read more

Bought Two IPL treatment on Groupon. Went there first time and she said IPL won't work without pre-treatment which would cost around $250. So I said ok to do it. After the treatment she told me there will be 6 treatments and each and every one will cost $258.33 and the total cost will be $1550! So I have paid the $366 for the first so called pre-treatment and bunch of useless and very expensive face wash products she forced to sell to me. And for the first already done treatment, the IPL I purchased on Groupon was not even performed. So I went there for the second time today asking for the IPL treatment only since I have already paid for those two treatments on Groupon. She refuse to do so with bad attitude and left me hanging there. Asked the refund from Groupon and the Groupon send the refund back shortly with sincerely apology. Just don't worth the time and money. P.S. Landa speaks horrible English and has to use her body language to help with that. But she blame me for not understanding her because English is not my first language. I arrive on time for both appointment time but found empty room. Have to wait 10 minutes and then found out she was chatting on the other room and the first word from her month is not even sorry instead of "oh! I thought you were not coming" come on! read more

This review is late coming as I went last year for IPL for Rosacea. I met with Gabriella who told me she was a Doctor in her country. She does really nice work. My skin looked great and I love the products she recommended for after care. I have rosacea and the curative cream and vitamin c sunscreen are really good. I would have given Landa a much better review if it were not for the following... -The building and office are a little scary. -The person at the desk and that answered the phone when I went there was far from friendly. -I was late getting back to work because I was seen a half hour later then my appointment time. -I used a Groupon which I felt was used as a bait and switch. I was told that there are different kinds of IPL and my Groupon wasn't for the kind I was looking for? -Gabriella really does know her stuff but I was a little put off by her trying to upsell me when I was already late. While researching local spas for facials and microdermabrasion to help with my sun spots and fine lines, I found Landa Medical Spa. I checked out the prices compared to the spas closest to my job (in downtown Boston) and discovered them to be lower in price and closer to my home in Framingham (score!) , so I decided to schedule an appointment for a facial one Saturday morning. Let me start by saying, these folks really care about meeting each individual client's needs. I was told each client is different, and they wanted me to come in for a consultation to see which services could be most beneficial to me in relation to the results that I wanted. I thought this was pretty incredible, since all I really wanted to do was come in for a facial! When I arrived for my appointment, they asked me many questions and helped me to weigh my options. I decided to opt for a chemical peel treatment rather than a facial. They were very thorough and professional, and the procedure "burned' far less than I had anticipated based upon stories my friends had told me of their own chemical spa treatments. I left the spa with smoother skin than I've had in a decade and my "crowsfeet" were visibly reduced in just one treatment. If you're looking for a medical spa with Boston's Newbury Street results on a smaller budget, this place is a MUST to check out. I loved my services so much that I have scheduled a Endrmologie massage for next weekend; an FDA approved lipo massage , as I've started to develop some cellulite despite years of being physically active and athletic. I hadn't even heard of this procedure until my appointment, but they were so wonderful about assessing my needs and figuring out which services would benefit me, that I just have to give it a whirl! I am looking into laser hair removal on my underarms at Landa; which I've contemplated for years, but have bypassed because of the pain. I feel they are so gentle and take pride in making procedures as pain free as possible, that if I'm going to do it anywhere; it will be here! I give Landa Medical Spa 5 stars, whether you're simply looking for a Girl's Day Out for facials or looking for major skincare treatments to take years off your skin. Had the Brazilian laser removal done here and had a great experience all throughout my 6 treatments. There is definitely a difference noted from when I started. I only have to shave 1-2 times for 6 weeks. I might need a few more sessions but that is because the area is hormonal and is harder to get rid of the hair in this area very fast. However, the hair is less dense and lighter. Mrs. Landa is very nice and accommodating. Even if you want an appointment the same day she will try to fit you in her schedule.
