    Scratch on my door.

    I am unsure how to respond to the survey that was sent to. I took my vehicle to this dealership because "low battery" reading and "engine" light came on. I left my car at the dealership after speaking with a staff and was informed that was the best option. I called at noon the next day where I was transferred to a voicemail each time (3x). When my call was returned in the afternoon I was informed the technician who was taking care of my car was unsure of what was wrong and my option was that I could leave my car there, the codes would be cleared, and a technician would drive my car on Monday and see if the code(s) come back on. When I asked about the code I was informed it was the check engine and battery not what was actually wrong because they could not tell what was wrong. Shorter version after being told the current charges for being looked at and finding nothing and given my best option to leave my car at the dealership over the holiday weekend to be driven on Monday (an additional $250+$278) with no guarantee that they would figure out what was wrong I decided to take my car home. I figured since they would clear the lights I could take my car home and if the cleared things came up again I would bring it back on Monday. I would not have to go without my car or rent from enterprise over the holiday weekend. I was told I can pick up my car after 2pm and sent an email with charges ($278 total and my car was vacuum and washed). Could be worse I thought and went to get my car. I arrived after 2pm. My car wasn't ready, no worries I'll wait and look over this printed invoice I was provided. The invoice looked okay all except for the part where it says I was advised my battery needed replacement and offered a replacement but I declined. This made no sense to me as the reason for dropping off my vehicle and having a diagnostic performed was the battery low warning and my engine light coming on. Finding this out while in line to pay at almost 3pm and they close at 5pm on Friday on a holiday weekend was enough for me to take a deep breath and say this is not the place for me to take my vehicle. Suck it up that I am out that amount of money (life experience). Communication about fixing my vehicle was a failure. However, communication about the charge amount was made very clear even though they were not able to tell me what was wrong. Furthermore, I did get my car back and more disappointment and anger came with it. the engine light was still on and my car still said low battery (I guess the codes were not cleared) the car was not washed or vacuumed and there was two scratches on the door. I've owned this car for three weeks. I already moved on (if not for receiving this survey) and I am taking my car to a more highly rated repair shop that is more knowledgeable about Land Rover diagnostics, but since this message was sent to me inquiring about my experience with this place i figured I'd give an overview of my experience. Perhaps this information could be used to make improvements. Lastly, to the person that was "helping me" I am well aware that I have a luxury vehicle and I am prepare to pay for its maintenance. However, I hate wasting/spending money frivolously and have my car damaged. (Why would i bring my car back to that place, unless I want my car damaged even more with nothing fixed and no idea of what is actually wrong).

    I am sharing my experience to help others make an informed decision…read more I purchased a BMW SUV from VIP Auto, and since the time of purchase, the vehicle has had ongoing mechanical issues that have significantly affected its reliability. The vehicle has spent more time being repaired than driven. I made multiple attempts to have these issues addressed through VIP Auto, but I was turned away on several occasions or unable to receive consistent support. While one member of management did assist with some repairs, the overall condition of the vehicle at the time of sale raises serious concerns. After the purchase, I was informed by BMW service professionals that the vehicle showed signs consistent with prior accident-related damage, including observations made during service. This concern was also acknowledged in follow-up discussions. This information was not disclosed to me at the time of sale, and I was not provided with a vehicle history report such as a Carfax prior to completing my purchase. Additionally, there are visible areas on the vehicle that appear to have been repainted. This would have significantly impacted my decision to proceed. I also purchased an extended warranty, which I continue to pay for; however, it was extremely difficult to find a repair facility that accepted it. By the time I located a participating mechanic, much of the coverage period had been lost. After seeking service directly through BMW, I was presented with thousands of dollars in necessary repairs. Even with partial assistance from the dealership, I still incurred significant out-of-pocket expenses, including tires and ongoing repairs. To this day, the vehicle still requires service. In addition, I was placed into a high-interest loan and attempted to contact the salesperson regarding refinancing, but I did not receive a response. Due to the repeated mechanical issues, concerns regarding undisclosed prior damage, and ongoing financial burden, I have explored my rights under New Jersey consumer protection and lemon law guidelines. This has been an extremely difficult and costly experience. I strongly encourage anyone considering a purchase to obtain an independent inspection, review all vehicle history reports, and carefully evaluate warranty and financing terms before proceeding.
