07/19/22 I needed to have a crown replaced today so I had an early 8:30 am appointment. Dr Teramoto has not only the skills of a great dentist but the equipment as well. He is able to do everything right in his office, exam, crown fabrication and installation. His numbing injections are amazingly painless. He is skillful and performs the procedure so efficiently ! Lance Teramoto is more than a dentist, he's an artist! I do say this tongue in cheek (pun intended) watching him basically design my porcelain crown on his Computer Aided Design program (One of of just five on Island) was amazing! As a graphic designer myself I was thoroughly impressed and entertained as he allowed me to watch my new porcelain tooth be milled out right in front of me. Another reason I love having Lance Teramoto as my Dentist is the rest of his office staff. They are all so nice and friendly! Mind you that I gladly drive from Mililani to Hawaii Kai for their outstanding service. Yes, I found my dentist off of Yelp. Needing to see someone for my toothache, I called their office & to my surprise was able to get a consult appointment the very same week. Their office is conveniently located in the Kahala Professional Building, across from Kahala Mall. The whole experience was stressless. Dr. Teramoto and Tasha were incredibly professional and actually made my dental experience enjoyable! When I mentioned I noticed a small chip on my tooth (an issue separate from what the consult was for), he took it upon himself to fix it for me right then & there! Professional, knowledgable and friendly. The Yelp reviews aren't wrong. Dr. Teramoto and team are really that awesome! read more

Dr. Teramoto and his staff are very friendly, skilled, and incredibly patient. After considering options to switch our dentist, my sister and I found Dr. Teramoto and decided that he may be a good fit, and wow, we were right. Both he and his staff made me feel very welcomed and comfortable before, during, and after my visit, which is very important considering the anxiety I (and many other patients, I'm sure) feel when thinking about the dentist. Aside from feeling comfortable, they did a fantastic job with my teeth cleaning! On top of all that, the office is in a very convenient location in Kahala right across Kahala Mall so no need to worry about parking since you can always park across the street and walk. Getting stuck by a needle sucks. Dr Teramoto appears to have solve that problem. The technique he uses to numb the area as he works on is excellent. You don't need to be a dentist to know when someone is very good at their job. He takes the extra time to make sure the job is done right. I've always gotten a follow up phone call because that's the kind of personal touch he adds to his work. I first saw Dr. Teramoto when I had a cracked tooth. I cold called him on his day off not expecting to hear from him until the work week. He called me back in two hours to schedule an appointment for me the very next day. He put a crown on that tooth in about an hour and that's with filling up the paperwork, prepping the tooth, doing the assessment and design, printing the crown, and installing it in my face. His use of technology is extremely current. He uses computer mapping along with the machine that produces the crowns right in his office. Just unreal. I have been going to Dr. Teramoto for years and my experiences have all been positive. His staff is friendly and they genuinely want to make sure you have a pleasant experience each visit. Parking is somewhat limited, but you can always walk across the street from Kahala mall. There are a couple of stalls reserved for his patients and some guest parking in front of the building. Tasha always gives me phone and email reminders whenever I have an upcoming appointment. If I need to change an appointment time, she tries to shuffle around other appointments in order to accommodate me. After Hilda cleans my teeth, she massages my gums to relax them after all the cleaning. If feels good! Dr. Teramoto is an expert in his field. He was named one of Hawaii's Best Dentist in the Honolulu Magazine. He answers all of my questions when I have concerns and shares good advice. When I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled and get an implant, he referred me to the right specialist for the procedure and provided guidance throughout the entire process. We usually chat after each appointment so he gets to know me on a personal level. There is an online rewards program that you get points for every visit and you can redeem them for merchandise. It's a way of saying thank you for being a patient. read more

Best dentist on this island. I would put money on him head to head nationally against his peers for the same title anytime. The thing I like best about Dr. Teramoto is the concern he takes for his patients comfort. No exaggeration I don't even feel the needle. I fell asleep while he was drilling my teeth. How many of you can say that about your dentist? Isolated incident? NO. My daughter also falls asleep while getting her teeth drilled. No joke. no shibai. I refer anyone I can to him. So far I got all my kids, my mom, and my auntie going to Dr. Teramoto. That's the highest compliment I can give him is to send my loved ones into his care. The staff is also filled 100% with awesome. I look forward to teeth cleaning with Hilda. It takes me about 15 min from Pali highway to his easy on easy off the freeway location. read more

After looking through several different options in my search for a new dentist, I decided to schedule with Dr. Teramoto because of the variety of services he offered, convenience of his location, and the other positive reviews I'd read about his practice. Needless to say, I definitely feel I made the right choice! Dr. Teramoto and his team were all so phenomenal, knowledgeable, and patient. My teeth were definitely not in their best shape and Dr. Teramoto and his amazing team had them looking better than they have in years! Furthermore, the process as a new patient was so easy, even with COVID, I was so impressed. Malia was so nice and accommodating, and was able to squeeze in my sister and I so quickly even with our hectic schedules. It's abundantly clear that the staff all truly care about the work that they do, and they have actually made me excited to return for my next appointment (never thought I'd be saying that!) Logistically, the location is super convenient as well, so that's a definite bonus! Been to Dr. Teramoto for dentistry for the family (4 of us) for nearly 10 years. Surprised that there are so few Yelp reviews, but not surprised that all of them are 5 stars. He is one of the most professional, state-of-art, and caring dentists that I have ever been to. This is not a 'dental mill' like so many practices have become today. It is just he and his staff who treat everyone like family and work so hard to take care of us. This weekend, I broke a tooth and called on Monday. Tasha, the super pleasant office manager said they could see me on Monday, but due to work conflicts they saw me today (Tuesday). The broken tooth (a front one, making me look like a homeless type :-( was repaired in his office within one hour); the work looks awesome! He has previously done ceramic crowns for which he has the specialized 3 D scanning and milling equipment that few dentists have. The crowns are built and installed within a single visit ! He previously replaced all my failing amalgam fillings from other dentists with ceramic fillings and have never had a problem since. His prices are also very reasonable compared to other dentists I have visited. One word: BRAVO! Hope he stays in practice for many years to come... Greg S. read more

Dr. Teramoto has been my dentist for close to 30 years and there are many reasons for that. For one, he is an outstanding technician in his field. From normal fillings to crowns his work is well, outstanding. Being also a Cosmetic dentist he is very conscious of the finish product complementing your smile. Second, his staff has been with him for quite a while and displays his attitude of being friendly, professional and engaging. Third, he cares about what is best for you. He will discuss your treatment with you and if you require specialty care he will refer you to another dentist that he trusts completely. Excellent! Pain-free! Highly recommend! I have been going to Dr. Teramoto for a short while now, but had a cavity under my dental bridge. Meant having to remove the existing bridge, fixing the cavity, and building a new bridge. Not an easy job. But it was completely painless and I am completely safisfied and happy. Dr. Teramoto is very personable and easy to talk to and he listens and communicates everything he is going to do. His staff is equally personable and friendly. They even call you or email you a few days in advance of your appointment to remind you. You never feel rushed. Dr. Teramoto does not jump between patients (while the anesthesia is taking effect, for example) as other dentists do, and devotes his whole attention to you. Excellent! I highly recommend! Let me start off by saying I've been seeing Dr. Teramoto for over 20 years. I live quite a distance from his practice but insist on continuing care under him because he and his staff are OUTSTANDING! Everyone in the office is completely professional, courteous, warm and welcoming. I'd much rather drive the distance to see Dr. and staff than be a patient at a turn and burn clinic where chair space and the level of care one receives is based on the dollar amount the procedure generates. They also do not recommend bogus procedures that a patient truly doesn't need. And because I feel the need to say it once more to emphasize my point, his staff is AMAZING!
