Having no way to reach him, I shotgunned calls to other dentists in the East Honolulu area and fortunately Dr. Weiss could see me that day. She took very good care of the emergency I had. Since then, Dr. Weiss has been taking excellent care of all my dental needs for the past few years. She is very knowledgable and addresses my dental issues with a high degree of professionalism and expertise. I am very comfortable with her being my dentist from here on out. So much so that I have recommended multiple family members to her. The waiting room, dental hygienist, and procedure rooms are all clean and much more modern than my prior dentist. Appointments have been on time and the front desk staff have always been nice to me. Also nice about this place is that they are located in the Kahala Mall professional building where there is ample free parking around the building and the mall. I dont know if Dr. Weiss is taking new patients at this time, but if she is and you are looking for a dentist, I strongly recommend giving her a try.

They take my insurance (Delta Dental) and parking is in the building and they validate. I've had Marilyn clean my teeth a few times and they're alway squeaky clean after. Last night I had accidentally flossed out an old filling so I had to make an appointment to get it fixed. Dr Chen was my dentist and even though I was running late, they were still able to get me in and complete the filling and I was on my way! It had to be the fastest filling I ever had with the x-rays and filling done within 45 minutes! I got there at 2:20pm and was out before 3pm! The numbing wore off after a few hours and I don't feel any discomfort. I also only paid about $118 for the filling and x-rays after my insurance. Dr Chen was really nice and checked to make sure I was doing okay and again was extremely quick and efficient. Some people don't like the clinical nature of this office but I love it! I recommend all of my friends, coworkers and family to come here!

Dr. Leong made me feel comfortable right away and explained everything very clearly so I could understand my options. I've been to many different dentists here on the island, but I can honestly say he's the best dentist I've seen. A lot of dentists make you feel like they only care about the money, but Dr. Leong truly listened to my concerns and took the time to make sure I felt comfortable throughout the treatment. His assistant, Trisha, was also amazing while assisting him during my procedure. The whole experience felt very reassuring and professional. During my most recent "visit", no one showed up to begin the dental cleaning 40 minutes after my appointment time. I ended up leaving without having my teeth cleaned, and the office still billed me. I reminded the office that no service was provided, and have yet to receive a response despite providing ample response time. While waiting in the dental chair on my most recent visit, I noticed how filthy the place was with a variety of hairs covering the equipment and bugs all over the floors in the same room procedures are performed. It appeared as if the place hadn't been cleaned for weeks, which is acceptable for a Jiffy Lube but not ideal for dental hygiene. The place has historically had excessively high employee turn over, and I've only received service by the same technicians/dentists a very small handful of times in the past decade making it challenging to receive consistent cleaning results. They always ask the same questions regarding your teeth pain, sensitivity, etc, but after repeating the same issues each time nothing is done to address such issues. They perform x rays every other visit despite myself having no history of cavities, gum disease, etc. which seems excessive. I am learning that x rays can be done every 2 to 3 years for healthy teeth. I'm assuming the frequent x rays have billing benefits at the expense of radiation exposure.

We took the flight anyway and upon landing I randomly called a dentist, who himself recommended Dr. Kashiwada. He took us in immediately though he was otherwise booked. His care, compassion, obvious skill, and amazing follow-up, was unique in all my nearly seven decades. He is a clinician. He is an expert, on licensing boards, and it is a delight to be in his caring company. He allows you to enjoy a dental visit! We had never met him but immediately felt as though he had been our dentist for decades. He called us several times to be sure we could enjoy our time in Hawaii without concern for the tooth that he skillfully repaired and was our Guardian Angel.
