We live in the Bermuda Dunes Area. My wife noticed an increasing number of Bees coming from the eave and roof area around the front of our home. Our gardeners also complained about bees in the same area. We contacted, "Lance Davis - Killer Bee Live Bee Removal" based on his 5 Star-reviews which was a huge mistake. Lance Davis is a sole proprietor. He works alone and showed up in a ripped t-shirt and jeans He estimated the total cost at $1,300 and said he would need $650 to start. We paid the $650 and he immediately started to "smoke" the Bees and remove the roof tiles and tar paper. He tore a large 4ft. x 3ft. opening in the roof and removed a large amount of honeycomb and honey. He then loaded the honey into his truck. He told us he would be back two days once the remaining Bees had settled down and "cleaned up." We never saw, or heard from Lance Davis again. The roof was demolished and open to the elements. After 10 days of fruitless and unreturned calls, we decided he had abandoned the job and called another company to complete the Bee Removal and repair and replace the roof. Lance Davis had ripped open the roof, taken a large amount of high quality honey killed the Queen Bee and a large number of the drones taken our $650 and disappeared. Last March, 2020 Lance carefully removed an African beehive of about 17000 bees and its mother queen in our front porch. The hive was inside the brick blocks so he also removed block by block. The first company fumigated first and then told us it would cost $1800 to open our roof and remove the hive (not including repair cost). This was my first experience with Lance Davis and Killer Bee Live Removal. I received a recommendation from a Safety Professional and read other yelp reviews before contacting him. I can honestly say, based on my recent experience, do yourself a favor and call them and not a "regular" exterminator. Like many others before me, I had no clue what was going on (a dozen bees around a covered outlet, what's the big deal?). The big deal was that they had passed through an exterior wall into the "seat" of my shower stall on the other side of the wall. The dozen bees turned into a large hive of about 25,000 bees. The tile had to be removed, board, exterior wall and stucco, I could go on. I would have had to hire a variety of trades people to complete the job. Not with Killer Bee, they got the bees out arrive, made repairs that were so perfect you would not even know that I had the problem. The same tile was used, replaced exactly, grout matched, stucco wall repaired, etc. I feel really confident that I made the right decision. Call Lance Davis, his is the master at this.
