I purchased a Nectar mattress from Denver city furniture in late March and was given a delivery…read morewindow of Thursday, April 2 through Sunday, April 5. As such I took Thursday, April 2 off from work to make sure that I was available to receive my order in person once I was notified of the actual day of delivery which they never did. That Thursday I contacted Denver City Furniture to find out the status of the delivery of the mattress to my new location where I was moving. They contacted the shipper, presumably FedEx and they were notified that the mattress had been dropped off on Wednesday, April 1. This means that I took a day of PTO for no reason and my mattress was sitting outside possibly available for porch pirates and I was none the wiser. In attempting to get compensated for the monetary equivalent to my loss of a PTO day, I was given a $100 credit to the store which basically covers one goddamn pillow. Despite my frequent pleas for compensation that at the very least matched the monetary equivalent to my lost day of personal time off, I was stonewalled. This is a slap in the face and the message being sent is that my time my frustration and their lack of ability to effectively communicate logistics is only worth less than half of a day pay for me that I am now out. Suffice to say Ashley furniture, and Denver city furniture will not be getting any additional business from me. To be fair, Mark, the sales guy was a peach. Unfortunately though they'll never get my business again and I will be reporting Ashley furniture to the Better Business Bureau because they suck balls. Of course I contacted Ashley corporate and they were zero help and told me I needed to contact city furniture for any help with this. So in predictable form, one entity is pointing fingers at another entity, saying they need to take care of it. Meaning it's a vortex of lousy service.

He's very talkative which made me anxious but that's just because I'm a bit nervous and have social anxiety. But he's very polite and informative on what he has and what we were looking for. We had got a dresser that was really pretty for 150$ and it was more than I wanted to spend because I had been trying to find a good thrift store dresser but the quality, the style, and just overall was great for the price. All real wood aswell being that cheap right now is amazing! There was also a vanity we had gotten the same day, it looks like a normal wooden table/desk but the middle panel of the table opens up into a mirror with makeup storage and ect. All real wood and made in the 1800s! For 150$ same price as the dresser. Both are very pretty and amazing. I'm really happy with my purchases here! As well the owners sons were very helpful with loading our items into our car. In general this is a amazing store, it has a lot of amazing furniture that has history with it. I'd recommend coming to look for good quality furniture at good price and to come for the hospitality and the cool

Turns out the "clearance" cabinet was actually backordered on a container ship overseas. Their own invoice showed the items as B/O at time of sale. When I asked for a fair resolution, the owner: * Repeatedly ignored my requests to communicate via email * Hid behind Terms and Conditions, then contradicted them by threatening to cancel my order * Gave me four different delivery timelines, none of which held * Blamed BDI, the shipping company, and the weather * Offered me a net $50 discount and called it "reasonable and fair" * Gave me 33 minutes via email to accept an offer or he'd cancel The moment I asked him to commit to an actual delivery date with accountability, he cancelled the order and refunded my deposit. Robert held $2,000 hostage for seven weeks for a cabinet that was never coming. Save yourself the headache.

Such a disappointment. If all you want is a rustic brown look. Then this may be your spot. No nightstands to found. Maybe 4 dressers but rustic looking like it belongs in a cabin. Nothing with a polished look or nothing with too much color. I was into this look when I was younger and wanted chic furniture but now as I am older I am seeking a more mature polished look. I understand Denver / Colorado is really lacking in unique or independently owned lil furniture shops and I really wanted this to work for me. It did not. So what I mean by alot of the same ..... I went to all 3 locations. I found the same livingroom console table in a few diff colors stacked wayyy high at their warehouse. Just diff colors. The only highlight was the clean bathroom.

I just moved a piece of fine furniture into my kitchen…read more When was the last time you ordered a piece of furniture and got something * MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL* than what you were expecting? That was my experience with ordering a pantry from Modern Bungalow. It took a few months to arrive, because Amish master craftsmen took the time to build an absolutely stunning piece of furniture, from carefully chosen pieces of gorgeous maple wood. If the pantry were small enough to fit on a dresser, I'd call it a jewelry box; it's that beautiful. The pantry is amply-sized. Using traditional hand-tooled and mortise-and-tenon joinery techniques, the pantry is meticulously constructed. The substantially deep shelves, which I have already loaded with giant heavy canned goods (like San Marzano tomatoes, for making my famous pasta sauce), and bottles of imported vinegars and California's finest olive oils, not to mention a cartload of baking supplies, provide ample storage for any manner of pantry goods, and the hardware used for the pantry doors is substantial enough to keep them from ever sagging. Thank you, Modern Bungalow, for helping me to obtain an heirloom-quality pantry that my kids will likely fight over some day, right after my funeral.

Solid Beauty, Stylish Comfort…read more I've never had a crush on a piece of furniture. That was before Modern Bungalow. The sight of my headboard now makes me sigh happily like a school girl. It all started when I couldn't find the right bedframe. The decor style of our home has been inspired by The designs of Frank Lloyd Wright and Charles Rene Macintosh; hardwood, understated, tasteful. But I could not find anything that suited me. Thanks to Modern Bungalow, our Cal King wooden headboard was custom created, delivered, and assembled - it will last a lifetime. I am in love with the warm rich honeyed hues of the wood and elegant design details. The solid construction provides a foundation for nights of restful sleep.

I had a pretty specific challenge when shopping for a sectional: I needed more seating, but I also…read moreneeded something that would actually fit my space. The Joybird Elliot Apartment Corner Sectional was one of the only options I found that checked both boxes, and I also liked that it was made in the U.S. I went into the store so I could see the different fabrics in person and get a better sense of the style and construction. Suz helped me through the process and was awesome to work with. I was also able to purchase during a sale, which definitely helped with the overall value. I was quoted about five weeks for the sectional to arrive, and that estimate was accurate. Communication and delivery were smooth, everything arrived on time, and the delivery team did a great job getting everything set up. I've only had the sectional for a couple of weeks, so I can't speak to long-term durability yet, but so far I'm extremely happy with it. I really like the fabric, which is soft and comfortable, and the cushions have a firmness that I really like without making the sofa uncomfortable. It's also surprisingly comfortable for napping. The length gives me the extra seating I wanted while the apartment-sized configuration works really well in my space. Overall, the entire experience, from shopping in the store through delivery, was easy, and I'm very happy with the sectional. Five stars from me.

The sales room representative was very helpful in getting me to purchase a couch, which I do love…read moreand was what I intended to purchase when initially entering the store. Note, the couches are custom order and take 4-8 weeks to arrive (****not only ****3-4 weeks which is what the show room says to you). I was sold a mattress and a bed frame as well... This is why I am giving it a two star rating. I was told the mattress would get to me in 2 weeks and very quickly, along with the custom bed frame that was on sale. This was a total lie. The mattress took 8 weeks and I ended up canceling the bed frame order because the customer service couldn't even tell me how long it would be for the bed frame. The show room manager lied to me and said I would get a refund for the mattress on the phone. I had to call back to the customer service (which is not the show room...) and they let me know that NO refund would be delivered on the mattress once it was delivered (only the shipping fees - which I think were free? who knows - NOT Joybird). Also, I was under a medical condition where I was not able to bring in large furniture on my own. I was "sold" that all the items would be "white glove delivered". They are not, the mattress was delivered by Fed Ex and I had to move in the very heavy mattress on my own. I will not ever shop here again.

I was wrong, and I regret this decision. After three months (BluDot's issue not Mod Livin's), the planter finally arrived--but not black as pictured in the listing photos. The planter is grey. I reached out to Craig who, in the past, has offered the possibility of returns, but suddenly changed his philosophy with his online client base and has basically told me I'm stuck with this item. I was genuinely surprised and dismayed, as the 1) listing is unreliable, 2) online customers do not have the advantage of seeing an item in person, and 3) I would have been able return this item with Wayfair. Silly me for thinking on principle here, as this same courtesy has not been extended by the owner. I now have to pursue a chargeback for this item that has tied up my funds for three months and was an avoidable disappointment. After three years and several purchases with Mod Livin, this will be my last.
