Just be VERY specific about what you want in terms of cut and if you have any special requests. I spoke to the office manager and was able to take him first thing in the morning and then pick him up right after because he doesn't like being kenneled. I also really love that you can book through the pet care app. Very convenient!

I took my cat in to be seen because he was fur mowing, and I wanted to know how to prevent that so he didn't have to live the rest of his life coned. This was quite some time ago, but I've since decided this may be important for other cat owners to consider. When we (Me, my husband, and our cat) initially entered the building, we were brought back to a room and waited to let him out of his carrier. When someone walked in, a vet tech I presume, she was gentle and very loving with our cat. Why the one star? After she left, it was not her who treated my cat. Instead walked in this doctor that immediately made my cat flick his tail. When I asked what we could do, she lied to me about there being no way to skin test my cat (you can do skin scrapes, I know because I brought him to another vet). She then said she needed to do 500 dollar blood work instead. She said she had found fleas despite us using a preventative, and instead of her suggesting a stronger one she sent us home with an anti itch moose that didn't work. We didn't do the blood tests because we knew something was off, especially when she brought in a small rag to hold my cat down for a vaccine (he is a huge cat) and he ended up clawing her and she lifted him by the scruff (not healthy for a 17 pound cat, btw! Yes, that is his healthy weight. He is tall!) We brought him to arlington, who not only gave us a strong flea preventative, but sent us home with actual medicine (steroids) to help him heal any infection he had gotten from prolonged fleas. Every since then, he has been healthy and not itchy. No thanks to bloomingpaws for that.

I've trained countless dogs that I fostered so I know a little bit about training. I could not get through to Lola with my training techniques . I wanted to make sure that whoever was going to help me train my dog was not going to use pain as a method so no shock collars, no pinch collars, I wanted options before going that route.Hacker Creek Kennels was able to come to my house for training which made it very manageable . Within a few weeks of training Lola was doing so much better and she was no longer attacking me. She had better manners altogether. Before training we would have to get three grown men to try to hold her down to clip her nails , because she would attack anybody that touched her feet. It's been close to 4 years I think since the training if not a little longer and I'm able to sit down on the couch with her and play with her feet if I want. I can clip her nails without holding her down anymore. I'm able to have people come over to the house and have them come through the door without her jumping on them . Recommend 10/10

I'm extremely disappointed with my dog's grooming experience. A simple nail trim request turned…read moreinto a disaster. My dog was handled roughly, resulting in expressed anal glands and poorly clipped nails. To add insult to injury, I was still charged for the service. Other times I requested to have his nails trimmed, I would have to ask repeatedly before it got done. I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received from the kennel in April. I boarded my dog for five days and specifically requested a flea and tick bath, ice cream, photographs, and a massage. However, when I picked him up, I was told that the photos were sent to my landline number the day of pickup. To add insult to injury, I found a huge tick on my dog's shoulder that evening, which makes me question whether he even received the flea and tick bath. The kennel offered me a refund for the photos, but I never received it or even the photos. When I called to check on him, someone other than the front desk person answered after the 9th attempt and told me that my dog was 'NOW okay', which really upset me because I had been worried about him. I asked them to explain, and they suggested that I talk to somebody else. So, they got that person, and they essentially gaslighted me into thinking that my dog was fine. However, when I called back, I was told that the groomer had answered the phone and didn't know my dog or what was going on with him. I'm not sure what to believe - was the groomer telling the truth, or was she just saying that to cover for everyone else? I should've listened to my dog when he got on the counter and asked me to hold him. I didn't regretfully. My dog's "4th of July dog party" experience was a real bite - literally! Despite promises of photos and fun, my dog was absent from the pics, and I later discovered puncture wounds and welts on his neck and back. What's concerning is that the staff never disclosed the cause of these injuries, whether it was a fight or just a play bite from another dog. Furthermore, there was no mention of this on the daily report card they provide when I pick up my dog. When I asked for photos of my dog, they never posted any and deleted my comment. They claimed my dog ran away from the camera while simultaneously posting dogs running. This lack of transparency has me worried about the care my dog is receiving. After pickup from daycare, he often has a hoarse bark and needs to urinate urgently. Even urinating by the front door as we exited. I've also noticed he's extremely thirsty, drinking up to 16 ounces of water in the parking lot before going home. They have photos of him foaming at the mouth in the play yard. Sometimes he barks nonstop on the ride home, only to need to poop as soon as we get home. Don't kennels usually take dogs out to pee and poop within 12 hour time frame? Little inconsistencies in care can add up fast whenever it comes to your pets needs. Posted on the front door is a sign stating they only offer holistic and safe items, but they've installed tires and recycled tire materials for the dogs to play and run on. Tires are not holistic or natural. Artificial turf can heat up to a scorching 180 degrees in the summer. I would suggest you do some research before you start using this facility. *5 star Google reviews from current employees like the one left by Saryn_1 is a conflict of interest.

My dog was severely ill in their care and they waited 24 hours to reach out to me. My dog has been going there for 5 years, many stays and camp visits so the staff knows him very well, his temperament, how he acts etc.. I got a call at 6:06pm (after closing) that he was vomiting blood, the girl could not tell me what happened. When I asked how long he was sick for, she said "he hasn't been himself for 24 hours". When I asked how long he was vomiting for, she said "3 hours". When I asked what took so long to call me, she said "I just found out 30 minutes ago and I'm just getting around to it"....... No one could tell me what happened to my dog, first he ate a bone and his vomit had white chunks, then he didn't eat a bone. Then he ate his own poop and was throwing up poop.. then he didn't do that. They could not get any story straight which just leads me to believe they just were not watching the dogs. We were out of country so my neighbor had to go get him, because they said they were closing and the only thing they could do was drop him off at a vet..he was covered in shit and they sent him home like that. When my neighbor asked what happened, she was told "he ate his own poop and he always does that"..... my dog has NEVER done that, and even if he did, why would this be the first time in 5 years I'm hearing about it?!? They were always excited to see my dog, have him there, and always told me he was good when I picked him up. They are also now denying saying that to my neighbor. The dog illness was one thing, I asked for the owner, Tom, to contact me and he did the next day via phone. Then he looked into it further, read me the text that his staff sent him that they were concerned about my dog in the 24 hours prior but didn't call me, and said he would call me back. Well he ended up texting me back and forth, we were trying to figure out what happened. I told him my dog would not be back and he said that was unfortunate... 7 MINUTES LATER, he accidentally copied me in on a text chain to another CBW employee, and this is word for word what he said: "If we knew, Dale was covered in dog shit when his emergency contact, her neighbor picked him up, we should've gave them a blanket to put on their car seats. Now that Neighbor lady has dog shit all over her car. Let's try to do better with this kind of stuff in the future. Dale still has not recovered. I'll talk to his mom on Thursday. But I really doubt we will let Dale come back. I'll probably have to end up paying for that car to get cleaned. Probably have some other problems with this dog Dale and her mom. But I don't want Dale there anymore. I don't think we make any money when he stays there. We have to give him a bath every day and spend an hour cleaning his cabin every single day sometimes twice a day. Just not worth it for him to be there." I advised Tom he copied me and told him it was absolutely disgusting that I was trying to find out what happened to my dog and he is more concerned about money?!?!?! His response was "that was in poor taste on my end" and that's it. Haven't heard from him. Can you believe that?!? This place that pretends to care for dogs, your family member, and he's texting his staff that they don't make money... my dog never comes home bathed after camp unless I ask for it and pay for it. I can tell that by the way he smells, also, approx $20 for a bath, there's no way CBW wouldn't bring this to my attention if it was a trend and they felt it was getting to be too much loss to give a "free bath" after every stay, they would have lost a lot of money. My dog is still struggling, upon on really taking a look at him, we saw his chest is completely cut open, he has multiple cuts, small lacerations and scratches all over his chest where he is losing clumps of hair. We believe our dog was attacked, he was sick as a trauma response, and they are covering something up. The vet couldn't do much because there was no photos of vomit or a straight story about what happened. Please, do not take your dogs here. They are not safe, and the owner literally proved by texting me that he only cares about the money.

I'm really grateful I found it when I did, I feel like it's really helping my pup become more confident and friendly and I'm so glad that he gets to have a ball with other dogs in a safe and supervised environment.
