I took my cat in to be seen because he was fur mowing, and I wanted to know how to prevent that so he didn't have to live the rest of his life coned. This was quite some time ago, but I've since decided this may be important for other cat owners to consider. When we (Me, my husband, and our cat) initially entered the building, we were brought back to a room and waited to let him out of his carrier. When someone walked in, a vet tech I presume, she was gentle and very loving with our cat. Why the one star? After she left, it was not her who treated my cat. Instead walked in this doctor that immediately made my cat flick his tail. When I asked what we could do, she lied to me about there being no way to skin test my cat (you can do skin scrapes, I know because I brought him to another vet). She then said she needed to do 500 dollar blood work instead. She said she had found fleas despite us using a preventative, and instead of her suggesting a stronger one she sent us home with an anti itch moose that didn't work. We didn't do the blood tests because we knew something was off, especially when she brought in a small rag to hold my cat down for a vaccine (he is a huge cat) and he ended up clawing her and she lifted him by the scruff (not healthy for a 17 pound cat, btw! Yes, that is his healthy weight. He is tall!) We brought him to arlington, who not only gave us a strong flea preventative, but sent us home with actual medicine (steroids) to help him heal any infection he had gotten from prolonged fleas. Every since then, he has been healthy and not itchy. No thanks to bloomingpaws for that.

It would be easier if I could just have seen the back of house without an appointment. Lastly, they charge $27.50 if you are late picking up you dog. And while expected a small fee, I did not expect a big fee and I also expected to be told, not just see it on my invoice. That's outrageous! No one time courtesy or grace given here.

If there was an emergency with the cats I know she could handle it. Reality is, leaving your pets in the care of someone else during travel can be anxiety-provoking. With Lucy on the case that anxiety goes away. The folks who took care of our cats did a great job, everything was clean and tidy when we got home. Mail had been brought in. They left a sweet note about the cats. The price they charge is very reasonable and they just leave you a bill on the last day of the visit. The other thing we like is that if they do not hear from you that you are back, they will go ahead and keep coming to take care of your pets. Of course, I was nervous at first. I had never used a pet sitting service; neighbors and family had always stepped in the few days in the past, here and there, that I was away from home. Like many, my pets are my family. Stacey provided the reassurance I needed, by replying to my messaging, and overall communications were excellent. When a kitty became ill, they administered medicine. And, in fact, even took one to the vet, with my coordination from afar. When food and kitty litter ran low, they shopped for the same brands, and just added it to my bill. I could not recommend them more. They have provided the peace of mind I needed so that I could go off and do what I needed to do. Kitties and I are together again, but I just wanted to write a short note of appreciation.

I especially…read moreloved the fact that they were not in crates at all... instead they were inside their own room which had beds and toys. It was very cozy for our two babies. Ms. Kathleen sent us pictures of them playing and relaxing when we requested and let us know how they were doing. I'm so thankful that she provides this kind of care for our two so it helps put my anxiety at ease when we have to go out of town. Ms. Kathleen was very knowledgeable and very attentive to our dogs diet and needs. We couldn't be more thankful. :)
