Results of those tests were also clearly and specifically presented to me, along with the options I had going forward, Needless to say, I was impressed. After having a recent hearing test and speaking with my doctor, I had to find a reliable and dependable hearing aid provider. I met with three different hearing aid service providers in the East Bay. My experience with Valerie was exceptional. She explained everything to me and compared it with my hearing test results to give me professional guidance on what would work best for me. We discussed a particular hearing aid make and model I was interested in and she gave me a reasonable and fair price. She did not try to pressure me and was very helpful, friendly, and supportive. In the end, I did not end up using Hearing Science of Walnut Creek, only because I found another provider, which is closer to my residence. Otherwise, I would be using their services and expertise. My ENT suggested that Bi-Cross hearing aids might be appropriate After working with the PH office we went with Bi cross and I had the first follow up appointment on February 25, 2025 and between that time and April 29, 2025 I returned to the office at least Nine times trying to get the hearing aids to work. Then we went on vacation to Europe and during that time I found the hearing aids to be so ineffective that I stopped using them. I notified the office on my return , May 28, 2025 and they asked me to go back to the office and they performed some new measurements and I tried them for three weeks and I returned to the office and reported that these' ineffective hearing aids we're having a very negative impact on my intellectual ability so much so that I had stopped using them and gone back to my old hearing aids. I ask for a refund because while I had tried to be patient and cooperative they were not able to deliver a functional solution The first response was that it was past sixty days and they couldn't be returned but they would try to work out something with Starkey. To date no resolution or communication. Starkey's website states that it can take up to four months for the brain and the hearing aids to be effective. Any response would be appreciated

The realization that one's hearing is failing can be traumatic. My first two experiences with other 'providers' were simply awful. The staffs were under-informed or simply incompetent and were simply shilling for one manufacturer or another. Took my father here for a hearing aid and definitely a night and day experience for him being hard…read moreof hearing. Well that was 6 years ago. Last year sometime my Dad stopped wearing his hearing aid because it wasn't working anymore and according to the paperwork it was out of warranty. So for the past year, he's been pretty much deaf! I took my mother complaining to me about how he watches TV with the volume full blast for me to say, let's take the hearing aid back to where you got it and maybe they can fix it. That's what I did and was shocked when they didn't charge me to fix it! After a year of not hearing and pissing off my mother, pops can hear again. Few weeks later my Mom is complaining about the hearing aid making high pitch noises so we called the office and scheduled a visit. Toby was able to find the problem with the high pitch sounds, retest my dad's hearing, and make adjustments to his hearing aid for a very small routine check up fee! Today, my Dad is watching TV at normal volume, and no complaints from Mom. Lastly, from the lady we spoke to on the phone, to the lady at the front desk, and Toby, all great helpful people. Kelly is terrific. She listens and makes sure any concerns I might have are addressed. They let me bring my dog in with me so I don't have to leave her home. She has separation anxiety. I appreciate the way they schedule regular cleanings even after the warranty has expired. They are not at all pushy about getting me to upgrade. I've had the same hearing aids for 6 years. I was even allowed to try a newer model for a couple of weeks. I liked the rechargeable battery feature, which my older model doesn't have, but didn't think that warranted the expense of a new pair. Kaiser audiology wouldn't even let me try a pair for a day. When I need a new pair I will definitely get them from Miracle Ear Pleasant Hill.
